Samudranta bounded down the slope of the mountain as fast as she could, at times barely keeping her footing but somehow always managing to do just that. She swerved to avoid this and jumped to avoid that, and would have laughed if she'd had the breath to spare. She was chasing nothing, in a headlong rush to get nowhere, running just for the sake of running, and running fast for the sheer thrill of it. It was a beautiful morning on a wonderful day to be alive, and this was her way of making the most of it!
As she leapt over a fallen tree, however, her luck and traction finally ran out, and when she landed, she skidded on some loose rocks and went tumbling. The lioness yelped and tried to right herself, but didn't manage anything more than slowing herself down a bit before she thudded into a tree trunk, which stopped her quite handily. If painfully.
Ow.

Tidis followed not far behind, often finding his thoughts wondering as he watched her run. A time or two this lapse of attention would result in the occasional slip, or a branch whacking him in the face. He hadn't her grace, nor was he as nimble, be he enjoyed the chase all the same. That was, until he witnessed Sam's painful stop just as he was leaping over the same fallen tree.
His divided attention resulted in him not jumping high enough, and a paw catching on a branch. He didn't even get to skid to a stop, but was abruptly belly-to-bark with the fallen tree.
OOF!
For a moment he sat stunned, breath knocked out of him, before he then kicked his foot free from the tangle of limbs and kudzu vines. Breathing heavily, both from the run and having the breath taken from him, Tidis walked over to Samu.
"Hey, you alright?"

Samu watched, upside-down and head spinning, as Tidis flumped over the log. It would have been amusing that they'd both fallen victim to the same silly, dead tree, if she weren't in a barely-coherent jumble. She continued to watch as he got himself together and headed her way, trying to blink the stars out of her vision.
In response to his question, she groaned, and gave her limbs a cautious, experimental wriggle. She still had them all, which was a good sign, and they didn't seem broken, either. "Nnnnghff." With great effort, she rolled herself over, which only brought another wave of dizziness. She sat still until it passed, then finally formed an answer, "'mfine. I think."

Meepfur One year later... XD Sorry!
Tidis trotted over to Sam, "Y-yeah! I uh, I meant to do that!"
He sat down, albeit gingerly, curling his tail around his feet. Looking to the sky, he let out a happy sigh.
"Beautiful morning, isn't it?" His gaze turned back to Samudranta, "Lot like you - the colors, the clouds..." HE then flopped over, head just inches from the lionesses feet, "Buy you're a lot prettier!" Oh, he was smooth. So smooth.
