He was expected to be the best at everything he did, whether that was sports, music, and especially academics. Admittedly, he always had a strange air about him but things truly started to get strange when he turned ten years old, where glasses would suddenly shatter or lights would turn off and not turn back on. His father had to move to London for business and so his whole family packed up and moved to the English countryside about forty minutes away from downtown. Jin had a difficult time adjusting to the quiet countryside life of England, having to attend school there as well as picking up the English name "Jason". The standards of his schooling and social life, though, had remained unchanged.
Much to his relief, however, on his eleventh birthday he was relieved to receive his letter of acceptance to Hogwarts. His parents were somewhat resistant to letting him go at first but decided to take the chance on his first year. As time went on, they became more and more skeptical of letting him go. Until finally, he had to sneak out and attend Hogwarts for his final year of schooling, despite what was going on in the news. Jason had always wanted to make a difference and set his sights far higher than conventional 'dreams' that most kids have. Despite his odd nature, he is actually rather brilliant but most people shy away from him because of external appearances. However, growing up in Korea for the longest time, he's unaware of the different social standards and is therefore, usually socially awkward and shy. When he has to meet new people or people who are older than himself, he is usually exceptionally polite as well as formal. However, he is endowed with a strong sense of being morally right and is usually the first one to speak out against injustice or lead against those who seek to harm others, which almost landed him in Gryffindor for his rashness.
