Finally the day had come where she was all done packing. All of her stuff was in Ast, and although she had already told Bhima that she was leaving she wanted to spend some more time with her best friend before actually leaving. She knew she would be back, but still. She didn't normally go all that long without seeing Bhima, the settlement wasn't that big that they didn't run into each other often even without meaning to!

Today of course that couldn't happen. She hadn't seen Bhima yet, and she had been walking around for a while. All her other good byes had been said, so all she worried about was seeing Bhima. "Where is she..." she muttered under her breath as she continued to look for her best friend. It wasn't like Bhima had just run off, right? She would have told Lasarra if she was leaving, and as far as she knew Bhima wasn't out hunting. So where was she?

Bhima had not meant to go missing, but she had meant to go thinking. She sat on the outskirts of town, perched atop a stump, just staring off at settlement. There was a lot to think about, after all. The upcoming tournament, Lasarra's move, her conversation with the Ast Shifter, and her future as a whole. Seeing her best friend walk by, she instinctively did nothing and zoned out after a moment of recognition. Another moment passed, though, and she did a double-take. Lasarra looked lost, and she was... well, she was Lasarra. Almost no one else could break Bhima from good introspection, but she could.

Rather than call out to the girl, though, she simply waved and rose from her makeshift chair to begin her approach. Only when she was closer did she speak.

"Hey, you. What are you up to?"

At hearing Bhima's voice Lasarra smiled brightly and turned towards her friend. "I was actually looking for you." she said as she walked towards Bhima. "I was wondering if you wanted to spend the day together." she asked as she threw her arms around her best friend.

It was unsaid, but she knew that they wouldn't have as much time together now that she was moving. Sure Lasarra would come and visit her, and hopefully Bhima would come and visit her as well, but it still wouldn't be as easy as simply walking around and seeing each other. It would have to be planned.

"We could go swimming, hunting, anything really." she suggested as she laid her head onto her best friends shoulder.

"I'd be up for a swim," Bhima nodded, returning the embrace. Swimming was one of those things that you could do when you were feeling emotional, or otherwise it had to be with friends. She much preferred the company to simmering in her own thoughts.

There was an odd sense of foreboding about this whole ordeal, though. It was something in Lasarra's face, or her voice.

"Where do you want to go?"

Lasarra smiled, glad that her friend was down for the swim she suggested. She hadn't had a good swim in a very long time and she knew that swimming with Bhima would be much better than swimming alone which would be what she would have done if she hadn't found Bhima.

When Bhima asked where she wanted to go Lasarra shrugged. It didn't matter all that much to her, as long as she was with Bhima she would be happy. "How about the one that most people don't know about? The big one?" She suggested. She was pretty sure Bhima would know what she was talking about, the two of them had discovered it together long ago. As far as she knew no one else knew about it.

"Sure," Bhima nodded, smiling slightly. "Is there anything you need to get before we head out?"

She wasn't much one for planning, but Lasarra was somewhat more reasonable. To Bhima, swimming was throwing off your clothes and diving in.

Perhaps some day she would take Lasarra to the pool nobody knew about. Well, nobody but Bhima and a special someone. It was about time that special someone stopped nibbling at the back of her brain. Who better to replace those memories with than her best friend?

Lasarra shook her head. "It's just the two of us, so we don't need anything. Unless you want to stop by and get some fruits before we head out? Than again we can just grab food along the way." she said with a smile. She was with her best friend, and who knew how much time they had left. She didn't want to waste any of it. This would be the last time that the two of them went swimming while living in the same place. After this it would be visits, which would be nice but not the same. She just hoped it didn't change things too much.

Bhima considered their options. Fruit was nice, but she didn't want to take the time to pick it. Certainly they'd cross a vendor or two on their way there, at least for a few hunks of bread.

"Eh, we can get something on the way," she said with a dismissive wave of her hand. She had the same worries, but was trying her best to forget, just for a little, that Lasarra was leaving. They could have their fun one last time, and then who knew when she would be back?

Lasarra nodded, Bhima was right, there were plenty of places on the way there that they could find something for them to eat. As the two of them walked she wondered when she would be back, when she would be able to do this again. Would Bhima replace her while she was away? Lasarra certainly hoped not.

"So, anything new in your life that I don't know of?" she asked as she threaded her arm in Bhima and leaned on her taller sister. Lasarra was tall for an earthling, but compared to most of her sisters she was on the smaller size.

Bhima thought on this some, her eyes coasting up toward the sky, but she ended up simply shaking her head.

"Nothing, really. I've started to train? That's sort of a change, but it's one everyone's going to go through... Have you decided yet what you want to be?" Of course, she only knew the classes of Alkidikes. If Lasarra were to move to Ast, would she be taking up a Shifter's class? Ah, she tried not to dwell on it. Today would be a day simply for enjoying each other's company, and hopefully not the last.

As they wandered, Bhima took a slight detour. An old family friend ran a food shop on the way, and she was sure they'd get a good discount.
