All of the nations borders are separated either by rivers (in the case of Pronta/Kranila), by the ocean, or by obvious restrictions of movement- for example, Fronta has a city-sized gate separating it from the other nations.

Los Anthos is the name of the Mermaid Empire, which covers most of the deep blue shaded sea. Compared to our world, it's similar to a sort of Bermuda Triangle, as most things that pass through that deep sea area go missing. The mermaids are, much like monsters, hostile to the other humanoid races, save for a few.
The international trading post, seen as the island off the coast of Fraxen, is situated where the Spire used to be, before it collapsed.
The entirety of Val'Ghast and Amaranthine are swarmed with monsters. There is very little civilization left on that massive continent that has yet to be ravaged. Val'Ghast is the name given to the monster territory by modern-day scholars.
Most monsters that live in Val'Ghast are more organized than the other species, more deadly, and more cooperative with each other. It's the most dangerous place in the world to enter, unless you're a monster yourself.
