Akira pawed Sayoko's nose and tugged on her ears trying to get her to wake up. Sayoko had stayed up late watch the stars shine in the night sky. To her it was most peaceful and she couldn't wait for the sun to go down. It was when the stars came out, the moon started to glow and fireflies started to fly around and light up the ground. She considered it a magical thing but knew better, it was just nature doing its thing. The sounds and sights were just something that was so beautiful that it had to be magical.
Akira tugged hard when Sayoko didn't even budge or make a sound. Finally she got her attention when the hair was tugged on. Sayoko's eyes flew wide open and she glared at Akira. "Good morning to you to." She fussed at the little bear; sometimes she wished she could ignore her glorious wake up call. It wasn't the case with Akira though, she would tug, paw and ram into you until you were awake and standing. The bear grumbled back at her but stood satisfied with a job well done.
Sayoko got up from her spot and stretched lazily, her hair falling in her face and covering her eyes. A huff came from her as she moved her head this way and that way trying to get it out of the way. Finally it moved to the side and she could see her fussy little bear again. "Okay Akira enough playing around I guess, let’s see what trouble we can get into today shall we?" She managed a smile towards the little bear but inside she was far from happy. The pain and sadness just wouldn't leave her. The stars and fireflies would make her feel better but it only lasted so long.
The mare moved with her bear weaving through the trees to get to her favorite patch of flowers. It was the first place she visited when she got up in the morning. The flowers were nothing special really, just a field of mixed flowers, though it was special to her. All sorts of different smells and colors waited for her every day in that same patch. The flowers never changed but it was a nice change from the trees that surrounded her.
