Ok, here it goes. From reading the way that Mitey's Thremal Detonator's For All thread has turned into 40kish character battle, I thought that we should make it.
The rules will be simple-
One on one battles, so remember who you are fighitng.
Special characters only. You can not add anything to the character.
You start outside of firing range, so state you longest firing range. The playing field is just a plain open field.
Each turn will have one post. In that post you have to state what you are doing and edit it when you what you rolled. Always roll 6 dice and only roll as many as you need. So if you need to roll 3 dice when you fire a gun, roll 6 dice- 3 to hit and 3 to wound. You oppent will then roll as many dice needed to make any armour saves and then what they need in their turn.

Before I challenge you, I should finish stating my shiet.
Monstrous creature.
When killed inflicts S6 hit on all models within D6" with no armour saves.
Ctan Phase swords or knives are lost when in close combat.
Considered to have frag grenades.
Can not regenerate when killed but Ctan.
All must take moral test to assult- everyone. He is a god for crying out loud.
Fearless.
Gaze of death- give S4 no save to all within an ordnance blast template, hits on 4+ to those partial.
Etheric tempest- any model that charges and is within 6" of nightbringer can be moved backwards 2D6" after all assult moves are made.
-----
Now roll to see who moves first.

(Khorne berserkers do not have to take morale tests under any circumstances when they go into Blood Frenzy) Kharn rushes forward finding yet another enemey stanidng in the way. All he could think of was how cowardly these b*****d Necron were. Not one of them had the guts to bleed. He grows closer to the cloaked and floating form as he strikes the head of another metal man with a flick of his wrist.

((Bastards!!))
The Nightbringer slow slinks forward in the, shooting and slaying anything that is not Necron. The vile Chaos was on the menu today. Their sick and tourmented souls containing almost no real value. But energy was energy, regradless of the source. Across the the battlefield, he spies something a bit more tantilizing- a Chaos Lord of some sort. This fiend would prove to be a tasty treat admist the offal before him.

These coward Necron knew nothing of battle and they died beneath his hands, all he knew was that he could see some cloaked, floating figure ahead of him. It was a tantalizing target, maybe an actual challenge. The kill counter in the HUD of his helmet hits 666 as he decapitates another necron.

Lining the Chaos Lord in his sight, The Nightbringer sends an Arc Of Lightening out from the end of his scythe. It was more for show then any thing else.
((I hit and inflict a wound, with ap2- do you get an armour save with your 2+ armour? Rules say you don't, but how does demonic armour play?))

((It's like termi armor, I have a 2+ save, but thats negated by the attack, but I also have a 5+ invulnerability save. I'm now in close combat with, I've taken two turns to get within twelve inches of you and know on my third turn I'm just moving and assaulting.)) A blast hit s Kharn, all he knows is that it came from the hooded figure. It throws him to the ground and he drags himself back up, continuing his charge and not even bothering to check if he's wounded. He bullrushes the cloaked monster and he finally recognizes it, it looks like the grim reaper. He swings Gorechild at it, laughing with glee at the chance to take the skull of death himself.

((I am ok with that. So, you will just choose to either use the 2+ or 5+ inv. But in this battle only using teh 5+ inv with be good. Montrous Creature means in close combat, my hits can only be saved by inv armour. You need to roll your close combat attacks again.. Mwhaha, the fun begins.))
Just before the raging Lord of Chaos can land one strike, The Nightbringer throws his free hand forward. Like a blast of lightening from the god of thunder, the ether winds stir around the Chaos Lord and send him flying backwards.
With the Lord just far enough back, The Nightbringer launched a two pronged attack on the Lord. First, The Nightbringer fires another deadly Lightening Arc from his scythe. The first shot was so effective, maybe it would be again.
((Next post with shot stuff))

((From the lightening arc. Hit and wound- remember to do an armour save post before doing the close combat post- where you strike first (my 4 to your 5) and you only have 5 attacks this time not 6. I love Etheric Temptest))
No sooner did the Lightening Arc hit, and The Nightbringer launch his second attack. He charge straigh at the Chaos Lords attack. Being a master of the Nercodermis, The Nightbringer started to modify his cell to have five silver spikes aimed at vital organs and quickly raised the still crackling scythe above his head- ready to slice his foe in two.
