I actually started writing a novel YEARS ago (to be honest the very first draft ever was written in my fourth grade year of school). It is a fantasy novel about... well, simply saying fantasy is enough to explain its contents.... monsters, knights, quests, and more importantly, adventure. I have trashed it and rewritten it so many times, and I may be looking at rewriting it all over again now that I have even stronger college education.

But those journal entries on here have always been fun for me. I don't look to get anything out of it, more so it is my way of contributing fan works to Silent Hill. And it means a lot to me when others enjoy reading what I have written! biggrin There was actually a time where I considered doing some fancy editing and text work to make a PDF "book" that included all the currently written journal entries plus many exclusive never before posted journals. It is still something I may work on in the near future.

I would easily say I have always loved writing. I have been a part of 2 Roleplays in the guild, and I was working on another private RP with a friend of mine on here. I am also working on another side project that is written in journal form as well, but with a chicken scratch font. It's a horror novel about a zombie plague called The Purge (and yes, I am disappointed that movie shares the same name as my zombie horde).

I certainly keep hoping we can get a new roleplay going on here. I seem to be having some issues using the Search interests box to find more members for our guild, as it won't let me browse users past the first page... but one day!!! Roleplays are great anway 3nodding but they are made that much better when roaming silent hill....

I am quite confident I can possibly complete The Purge. Since it is in journal form, I write a new entry for the novel every day as if I were truly keeping the journal myself. This helps me keep my mind in the right place (and definitely helps me avoid writer's block). On rare occasions or when I am feeling especially creative, I will write more than one entry on any given day.

Well I wouldn't be a lie to say that through all my years of playing Silent Hill, I have always loved finding journal entries and notes and scraps of paper.... and it got me to thinking that if an entire book were written like that, it may actually be very interesting for the reader. You know, it's not chronological in the sense that you follow the characters every step. I can jump around if I get writer's block... Maybe 2 or 3 entries will be multiple days in a row, but then I can fast forward an entire month or two and use that entry to explain the events of the past month, giving me much more room to write about.

And in this sense, it keeps the reader always wondering how far along they are going in the book, and what the next entry would reveal to them in the adventure. Joseph Schreiber's notebook entries in Silent Hill 4 played a huge part in my thinking process for this.

Hey I am always up for some early support! I'd be happy if at least one person had fun reading my work. And SH4 will always be my favorite SH game (that I know of lol) and the world I hated the most was Water Prison, only because of the valve puzzle in the center of the prison.... took some time to figure that one out.

It's ok, I can be understanding of our differences in opinion and taste *grips lead pipe behind back* Eh hem, jk sweatdrop blaugh But yea, I think my favorite world would have been.... the Subway for scare factor, but as far as level depth and interesting happenstances.... hmm... Either Forest World because of all there was to discover at Wish house or the Apartment world.
