The beach meetup had been a success. Serenity had managed to get asked out by the girl she spent a lot of time with, talking, flirting, and even got a kiss or two. While it was moving fast, she didn't really feel uncomfortable about it. Maybe that was because Serenity thought Lila to be more fun than most other things. So she'd scored a date for tonight. Hopefully things worked out between them, better than at the beach, and she could spend more time with Lila.

So, today they were meeting up for a lunch date and see what happens afterwords. She dawned her short shorts, flowy, light, blue top and sandals. She forgot about the hat today, since it was summer and way too hot outside, and grabbed her purse on the way out the door. Honestly, Serenity was far too excited about this. It'd been a while since she was last interested in someone like this. A few years, actually, sinc her freshman year in high school.

Now that she was graduated and had a small job as a receptionist on the weekends for a tattoo shop, she could focus on other things like dating. So, she finally got to the meeting spot and fanned herself down. She had been running because she got a late start. Hopefully Lila wasn't too upset she was about fifteen minutes later.

Serenity panted as she was greeted, flashing a breathless smile as her pale face flushed darker with the run and embarrassment at the compliment. She doubled over, resting her hands on her knees before taking a few deep breaths and righting herself again. Pale eyes glinted a bit as she laughed. "You.. You look so pretty." It was true! That dress was stunning on Lila. "Not everyone can pull off a vintage lace dress like that.."

Without really thinking about it, Serenity's hand came out to let her fingers trail over the top hem of the dress feeling the material and smiling. "So well taken care of, too." Pulling her hand back, she pushed it through her own hair and let it settle however it wanted. "It's good to see you again, Lila."

So modest. It made Serenity beam and then give her a little wink at those words. Lila was adorable. "I am absolutely famished. I woke up late or something happened, and I was forced to skip breakfast!" Serenity fixed her hair a bit and then dusted herself off from the nonexistent dust that threatened her. "I'm quite fine to go now, hm? Lead the way, Lila, dear." Serenity hoped Lila didn't mind nicknames. She was positively full of them!

When her hand was taken, Serenity mentally squealed like any girl would when their crush touched them. Outwardly, however, she just grinned and flushed a little. "Not at all." She went so far as to shift so their fingers were twined together, hugging the taller girl's arm to her as they walked. "So, Lila, tell me.. Why you wanted to go on this date with me?" Her question was fairly innocent in it's own way. Basically, this was the pale one's way of making sure Lila knew it was a date and not just an outing with a friend who happened to be a girl. There was a significant difference.

Adorable was something they could both agree the other was. When the compliments started, Serenity's pale cheeks lit up and she looked up at the other girl, shaking her head. "Well, I know I'm cute. It takes a lot of work to look this cute." A wink would be given before she just looked back ahead of her. "You're the first girl I've been interested in. ...In more than looking at, anyway."

Serenity was surprised when Lila didn't really tease her or this. She figured all... lesbians would call her out for just wanting to experiment or just doing this on a dare. That'd been one of her biggest fears, because it was rather late for this. Then again, she was planning on going to college, and wasn't college the time for experimenting? Now she was wondering if she was just going through a phase. She hoped not. Lila was pretty, well dressed, and seemed to compliment her personality.

The smells hit her like a wall because she wasn't paying attention and all Serenity knew is that it smelled amazing. "Oh, yeah? Well, it smells really good, so I trust you. I am in the mood for a pretty decent BLT."

Serenity could pack away some serious food. She was more active than most teenage girls, what with still keeping herself moving with rollerblading when it wasn't winter, hanging out at the beach. Like any fashion forward person, Serenity spent time in the gym too to keep her girlish figure. When she was tugged into the cafe, her pale blue eyes peered around and she felt herself growing more and more comfortable.

"I quite like it here. I thought this was going to be one of those... snobby ones my mother insisted on bringing me to where they throw 'tea parties' for the older women. Honestly, I do not see the point in getting that fancy to have tea." And this was coming from a girl who had her own, and had been to many cotillions in her life. Yes, Serenity Kinderman was a debutante, but she realized it was probably hardly surprising. Shrugging lightly, she looked Lila over and grinned. "Well, I'll take your word on this amazing food you claim they have." She gave the taller girl a wink before she beamed.

Stuffy places were bad. They made her sweat, and she honestly hated sweating. Sighing lightly, Lila just smiled wide at the decorations and bit down on her lip when her the choice was left up to her. "....A table." She cleared her throat a little more and just prayed she made the right choice. Serenity hated making decisions herself. Honestly, the pale, short girl would have been alright with whatever Lila had wanted, but that was alright.

Serenity pushed a hand through her hair and looked over to Lila again before the the hostess took them to an empty table. "..Tables are better for dates," she whispered to the taller one.
