The Faye Clan and the Vialos Clan; two great Vampirian Clans locked in a never-ending battle from an incident that occurred many years ago. The Vialos Clan Elder, Montego, was supposedly killed by the Faye Clan Elder, Eridan, in a blind rage. The Clans have been locked in battle ever since. 10,000 years after the “murder”, the two clans are still locked in battle. Most of their vast numbers have dropped down from hundreds to under 50 people in each Clan. With the clans dying and no answers yet uncovered, the time has come to seek answers.

Pandora Faye, the heir of the Faye Clan, left her clan to seek the answers long hidden by folklore and hopefully put an end to the fateful night that Montego Vialos was murdered. Pandora fights alone, and is eventually helped by several others who are also looking for answers. She is joined by Kyndria Thorn [a lycan girl looking for her family roots], Christiana Engel [an Ice Angel looking to prove herself worthy to gain her wings and access to Heaven as a Guardian Angel], Gabrielle Rowan [a Fallen Angel seeking the last souls she must save to gain access to Heaven once more], and one final person she never expected to be helping her- Drakiel Vialos, the heir to the Vialos Clan!

But some people in the Clans wish that the truth wouldn't be uncovered. This alone is suspicious, but the fact they'd go to any lengths and even kill the only heirs to leave the truth buried leads people to suspect that the murder was staged to start the war. Many people, human and not, are sent after the heirs and their friends to bring them down!

Only one person could know of any answers of what happened that fateful night many thousands of years ago. An immortal enchantress, of great power, only known as The Lady Bathed In Snow. Finding her will be hard, as the path itself is difficult. To pass through many gates those who travel to see Her must answer several riddles, some hard and some not, to gain access to her Temple where she resides.

Can Pandora and Drakiel make it to The Lady before the Winter Solstice, before her Temple is sealed off to the world for another hundred years!?

❶ Please message profiles to myself or VSG12, with the title of "Light and Shade". Be sure to include a gaia_star (star) icon as well, so I am sure you have read through the rules.

❷ The main characters will be open only for a short time. If you want them, be sure to take them. Try and take already existing characters, instead of making your own ahead of time. However, original characters are accepted.

❸ Please do not go over-board with violence, romance, or other themes. Try to keep the Role Play to a PG13 limit. You can be violent, romantic, and curse, but do keep it to a limited amount. If you do insist on "going further" with a character in a romantic setting, please resort to Private Messaging.

❹ Please be literate in this Role Play! I don't expect huge paragraphs or anything of that matter, but don't use one-liners. Also be sure to use the correct spelling, grammar, and other literary methods.

❺ Try and make your posts as pretty as you can! You can either use a creative border or a picture of your character(s) in each post. Using colors is accepted, but try not to use the same colors as other characters.

❻ There is no limit to the amount of characters you can take, but please, only take as many as you can handle. If you take 20 characters and only use 6, I will delete the unused characters. Unless there is a reason for a character to be out of action, please only make as many characters as needed.

Bio: Drakiel is the heir to the Vialos Clan, and is the only son to Korbin Vialos, the widowed leader of his clan. He is a merciless and cold fighter, but a man with a big heart. Wanting only the survival of his clan and the end of pointless blood-shed, he leaves his clan after hearing that Pandora left to find the Lady Bathed In Snow and get answers. He saves her, from a group of Vampire Hunters, and aids her. At first, they do not get along, but learn to look past their clans feud and uncover the truth. While not as skilled in hand-to-hand combat or weaponry as Pandora is, he is very skilled with his abilities and uses them most of the time. He is very sophisticated and protective of his allies.

Christine, wanting her wings, decided to help Pandora and Drakiel find out about the truth and stop their Clans' blood-feud. A powerful warrior of great skill, though most times ruled by her emotions from time to time.

Having saved 98 souls already, she decided to aid Pandora and Drakiel to save them; thus ending her sentence on Earth. While at first she does it merely to be able to re-enter Heaven, she ends up sympathising with the two and truly aids them. She often fights with Christine Engel, an Ice Angel, at times. Both have strong and bold personalities, but eventually find common ground and form a friendship.

The Lady is the worlds strongest Enchantress, and because she is Immortal and a servant of the Gods, she can alter sections of reality. She has memory of all time, from when she was alive, which was during the time of the start of the Vialos vs Faye Clan feud. A very graceful woman who speaks in riddles and rhyme. She is elegant and sophisticated, and rather gentle. Also a very cold-hearted woman at times.

Her nickname of "The Vermillion Valkyrie" comes from her dark-red hair color that looks like the burning blood; another color being Ochre.

Bio: Lucifer is a Dullahan, otherwise known as a Headless Horseman. He travels the lands on his own; not because he dislikes company, but because he has a job to do. He mainly serves as an Angel of Death (a dullahan's duty is to kill those marked for death, thus bringing them to heaven or hell). Lucifer is a fairly old-fashioned gentleman, who talks in an Irish-like accent. This pays homage to the fact that Dullahans are of Celtic origin; Irish spirits. Lucifer meets with the group while travelling to find his next soul. He decides to help them so that he can know about the war between the Violos clan and the Faye clans.

The wolf spirit was recently forced to leave the forest she guarded with her due to it being used as a battlefield for the two clans. Ellis now silently follows the group wanting find out the truth behind the blood-feud and even helps a few times without them knowing.

Bio: Fell used to be famous for the one 'Vulture' who did not feed as her brethren, instead surviving off of animals. She had a kind personality, and always seemed to be helping someone. However, as she grew older, and learned of her kind's discouragement from common society, she started to change. The elders of her kind saw that this was not good enough. They twisted her very soul into that of chaos. Now she is one of the most infamous War Demons known. However, she's been missing for many, many years now. ☠☠☠☠ Ivon showed up on the Faye clan's doorstep, no one is quiet sure how, but he managed to manipulate his way into the clan. Even though no one knows where he comes from, he is one of their best fighters, and almost no one would even think of deposing of him. Some even think he's always been there. He's a bit of a flirt, and has a silver tongue. His playful (and sometimes secretive) personality allows him to bounce back easily from most anything, especially insults. He is also good at taking bad jokes, usually towards him, and returning it back to the speaker. He's earned many allies, and enemies, throughout the clan over the years. ☠☠☠☠ Laquie also charmed her way into the Vialos clan, however, she showed up with various proofs of battles. Most of them were body parts of the Faye's clan, and she asked to join their battle against the Faye clan. She too is now an accepted 'member' of the clan. Laquie is quite charming, if not a bit bloodthirsty and crazy. She can also be seductive, mysterious, and dangerous. Her past is a mystery and she easily brushes it off when the subject comes up. ☠☠☠☠ Fell's actual gender is female, though she's switched back and forth so many times she no longer can tell the difference, nor cares. She also doesn't care how the murder happened, all she cares is that this war stays ongoing. It's her lifeline, and she'll do anything to keep it alive. She keeps many secrets and is currently seeking out conspirators against the heirs. They're obviously trying to stop the war, and that makes them dangerous. She also keeps her true identity hidden extremely well, and plans to keep it that way.
Other: Fell is extremely sensitive to anything holy. Only holy water actually harms her, but the normal crucifixes and such disturb, upset, and annoy her a lot. Any angelic magic, or magic used by an angel in general she is extremely vulnerable to. Her mind alone is the only thing no one can break into, even angelically.

She is fairly masculine, if wearing clothing that isn't more girly. She is an A cup when it comes to bust size, but although her bust is small, in the right clothes, they are noticeable.

He is a dark man, and is less "kind" than Amira seems to be.

Lucifer Fionn rode along the dirt path in his black, bone-covered carriage. His black steed with crimson eyes (his companion named Sterben) snorted as the two passed into a town. "Ah, there seems to be much emotional turmoil here." Lucifer said to himself, as he scanned the town quickly. His head was sitting securely on the top of his chariot. He was a Dullahan, a Headless Horseman, otherwise called an Angel of Death. He travelled through the town, watching people cower in their homes. He rolled his eyes as he moved along. He was in this town to take one life, and only one. They had been marked by Death, and it was his job to deliver that soul.

"There has been much blood spilt here over the years. You can see it, can't you, oh Angel of Death?" an old, blind woman said from her porch. Lucifer got off his chariot, placed his head under his arm, and walked over to her. "Yes, what happened?" he asked. This woman was his target, and she welcomed him. So, as tradition would have it, he must listen to what she had to say.

"The blood-shed from the Vialos and Faye Vampire Clans was split here, over thousands of years. They will kill each other off before an answer can be found. They are cursed to die." she said. Lucifer nodded, she spoke great wisdom. The woman then walked with Lucifer to his chariot, and rode off into the night.
