What you need to know

The Estate – The estate is broken up into three areas:

• The Leasable land – land for farmers/villagers to rent and work. Villages on the land are quaint and humble. People are the main interest here.
• The Town of Windvale – It’s a town on the estate. It’s an olde town, but it is also a small town. Watch what you say or it will come back to you. Noble homes are scattered around the outskirts. Money is the main interest here
• The Windermere Estate – the actual domicile of the Lady Windermere, includes mansion and grounds. The grounds consist of woods and garden. Decorum is the main interest here.


The Gossip – vague description of things going on in the rp. The details are left up to the discretion of the players involved.

The Paper – the newspaper, actual facts about the rp that are public knowledge. Spontaneous events such as famines, floods, fires, and declarations of war will appear here as well as posted in the rp.

Spontaneous events – Not everything in life is planned, and even worse some cannot be avoided. These events have to be worked around. If the state goes to war, then young men become part of the militia and go to training every so often. If you have wanted to kill off a character for a while and not sure how to do it, these events are perfect. Need more drama? Break a leg fleeing from a fire. Need a chance for the rules of society to be broke for a while so you and someone else can have a sword fight in the middle of the street while all hell breaks loose? We’ll come back to that.

Setting – The Windermere Estate follows a feudal structure with a Victorian style. Land leased to persons who work the land, should follow aspects of village life. The town of Windvale should follow traditional town life. The mansion should be an upstairs-downstairs institution (Downton Abbey, Victorian Romance Emma, etc.)

Somewhat real-time – time will pass eventually regardless of where you are in the story. If that leaves girl A at the altar, then boy B has to do everything in his power to win her back before girl C and boy D drive them apart.

Prepared Characters – some characters I already have in mind. You can’t seem to come up with a character on the spot but you want to be a part of Windermere Estate. Pm me, write that you want one of these and attach a picture. You can use them as long as you want, and if you want to make your own you can add them to. Just remember the rules (below).

Welcome back to the Windermere Estate. I am sure you were all very frightened when the past Lord had his accident. Fear not the current Lady shall take excellent care of you in his stead. Now it seems everyone has been a little misplaced. If you can write down exactly what you do on the land you lease from the Windermere Estate, what you do for a living in the town of Windvale, or what position you fill in the main mansion of the estate.

I heard the Lady chopped off all her hair after the accident. - Yeah? Well I heard that she's off her rocker. Goes hunting in the woods in the middle of the night. - I have a cousin who works up at the house. She says things are loosening up around there. The old bloodhound isn't cracking the whip anymore - Hardly old really, I thought he was handsome. To have an accident so young, a shame really...I heard...that a detective is coming to examine the accident. - Honestly! I doubt that tiny thing could have done anything to 'im!
