TODAY~ July 25th, 2013, two of my co-workers found a kitten outside one of our buildings. Her litter-mate was ran over, and being a kitten in the Texas heat is horrid. I decided to take her (I have waaay too many rescues as it is..) and we fed her lunch meat. (Hey, I'm at work and I'm boss for the day, I just can't up and leave...) Someone brought her a grasshopper to play with... and quickly after she got it, she ate it.. Same person brought her two more and she has done the same. She looks to be in good health (Minus fleas) and is a little over two months old... So, I'm assuming that she has lived off grasshoppers for a while? I don't know. I don't know if this is okay...but, she keeps crying for another one.. and I refuse to catch her any.

YUM. Grasshoppers. How would you feel if your toy suddenly vanished at that age?
Nothing to worry about but she does need kitty food. smile

When we first got our little dog, from the pound, it was at the time of year when huge bugs were swarming everywhere (we were calling them crickets, but I don't know what they actually were. Bugs.), and our dog ate so many of them. I'd take her for a walk and she'd be dashing from side to side to scoff them down...
Also, as a related topic, we used to have a cat that would stuff his belly on Bogong moths during ... Bogong moth season ... and he'd have no room to eat cat food - so he used to get really skinny and unhealthy at that time of year. *sigh*
I'm sure you already know she can't survive well off grasshoppers alone... maybe she has been eating them, or she's just hungry enough to eat anything that isn't moving too fast.
Have you still got her? Can we see a photo?
