CitrusCupcake Elisheva drifted along, the sun warming her back and wings as she flew, the breeze ruffling her up-pinned mane. She shook her head to move the wipsy tendrils from out of her face, the gold chain that dangled off the hairsticks jingling slightly as she did so. Shaking her head affected her flight path though, so she didn't do it much, and she decided to land anyway, as the breeze was scattering her mane across her face more and more and she was getting decidedly annoyed with it. Circling above the wide open plains, she slowly descended, and landed with a soft thump, taking the time to look around herself for anyone very near by before she attended to her wings, tidying the feathers and then by shaking and making little 'piff' noises with her mouth, got her mane to look slightly less windswept. That done, she took a slow stroll through the long grass, the noise and motion as the wind sent it moving like waves on the sea was rather soothing, and she felt herself relaxing. Not that she was particularly stressed, now that her sister Nalani was back together with Izefiah, everything in the family was on an even keel. Which she was glad about, her family was dear to her, and she made sure she did everything she could to maintain their general harmony. So this felt a great deal like her time, time to enjoy just doing whatever she felt like, without worrying about anyone else. Sort of selfish maybe, but she really did feel like she deserved it. She plucked a wildflower as she walked, stopping to tuck it in the part of her tail that she could reach and chuckled, swishing it speculatively, wondering if it looked good or just silly.

Roman Foi Cato seemed to find himself on the ground more and more recently. Flying didn't hold the same pleasure he used to find in it, for what reason he didn't really care to know. All he really cared about was immediate needs. Like right now? Water. Water sounded great. He listened for the noise or smell of a stream or small river bed that might feed through around these massive plain areas. It smelled of rain, though, so his senses were getting a little confused. He kept on his trail, glancing once or twice around, searching. It wasn't long until he spotted a dark mare in the distance. He also noticed, not to far back behind her, he saw what might be the gleam of water. A pond maybe? He couldn't tell but he would find out. He started that way, trying to avoid eye contact.

CitrusCupcake Elisheva had just decided that the flower in her tail really did look silly on her and was in the middle of shaking it out as she walked, her path taking her in the general direction of the smallish body of water nearby. It was as she was doing so that she caught sight of the large male, her eyes widening a little as she did so. He was a strange mixture of parts; and she caught herself staring, and chided herself for doing so. The unusual really was remarkable though, and whilst he wasn't looking over at her, maybe he wouldn't reject her stepping forwards and introducing herself. It was only manners after all, she really couldn't pretend she hadn't seen him. 'Excuse me.' she said, stopping a short way from the stallion.

Roman Foi Crap. Gruffly Cato, peered over to the mare, all the while suppressing rolling his eyes. "Uhm. Yes?" He stopped his walking, standing where he was a little ways away. She was a pretty chocolate brown color, he thought, and was very small. He assumed it was her breed-- he'd not been introduced to many types of soqs other than angeni, normals, and his father was kalona. She seemed even more petite than what most mares were!

CitrusCupcake 'I'm sorry to disturb you.' Elisheva said that first, and hastily, but with one of her most charming smiles. There was an air of..something in his manner, and she was on her guard as she was whenever meeting someone new, but he had stopped, and replied so maybe she was just misreading him. 'I saw you and felt it only polite to introduce myself, especially as I seem to be heading in the same direction as you. And I confess.' she added with another smile. 'I have yet to see someone as unusual and impressively so as yourself.'

Roman Foi Cato had remained with an indifferent expression until the mention of "impressively". Was she.. was that flirting? He perked an eyebrow, quite surprised a mare would be so bold. And it was odd that anyone just... approach him merely because they were headed in the same direction. 'Lonely' crossed his mind as he evaluated the mare speaking to him. "You're very... friendly, aren't you." he more commented, than asked.

CitrusCupcake Elisheva would have been surprised had she been able to read minds and see what the stallion was thinking of her; she had too much in her life to ever be that. She was friendly and often forwards, and life was to be lived, not shrink back from. 'Yes.' she replied simply and then laughed a little at herself, expanding so that he wouldn't think her blunt. 'I'm not shy it's true, if I see someone I think I would like to know more about I would rather feel a moment of discomfort if they should not wish to talk to me, then feel a longer regret that I just didn't try. So that's why I approached you. And now, why we appear to be talking. You interested me. Does that not happen often then?' she asked, wondering if so how no one would find him interesting.

Roman Foi "I, uhh." She may be one of the most peculiar mares he'd come across. Coughing once, Cato tried to gather something to respond with. "Well if they are curious, they don't really express it." He shifted his weight a couple times, still unsure what to do. Other than he was still thirsty. "Shall.. uh, shall we continue on our ways?" He suggested, motioning toward the pond. He didn't necessarily want to the conversation to end-- she made him curious --but he was rather parched.

CitrusCupcake She flicked an ear, he was bemusing her just slightly. At first he'd seemed to be very sure of himself, at least before she had started talking to him. But now he seemed genuinely confused that anyone would take an interest in him. 'That's their loss then. What would the world be if everyone ignored each other? A sight less populated I would imagine.' she mused slightly, but then nodded and smiled at his question. 'Of course, please, lead on.' she replied, waiting for him to begin moving before she too went on after him

Roman Foi Cato hesitated, giving her a very quick once over, juuuuust to make sure she wasn't a threat, before continuing on his way to the pond. His tongue was rather dry, and the water sounded soo delicious. He tried to attempt the mare wasn't behind him, but quickly learned that wasn't going to happen. He was very much away of her presence. Probably watching him. He didn't like that.

CitrusCupcake Elisheva rustled her wings a little, watching the stallion, and taking the opportunity to properly look at him whilst he was busy drinking. She took in the large, twin set of wings, the pointed, spade shaped tail and the curved horns, and even had time to count all the bangles on his legs. She smiled to herself and stepping over towards the water took a short drink herself, before standing upright again, licking at a drop of water that had escaped her mouth. 'Better now?' she asked, wondering if he would be willing to talk some more.

Roman Foi Cato drank deeply and for sometime. To him, water was very precious. As was typical in the desert, it is a rarity. He had a hard time resisting to drink even when he wasn't thirsty, just because it had been instilled to drink as much as you could at a younger age. He could feel her watching him again, noticing she didn't drink nearly at length as he did. She was probably a native to this land. Lifting his head up, his snout wet, he nodded in response.
