Leitha sighed, pulling on some of her rather long hair. She'd been feeling like she was going to loose it as of late. Between Cadassi and this bird thing she called Sammy, Leitha was at wits end. She was attempting to find her son to pawn off at least the bird thing. She just couldn't take it. This kind of responsiblity just wasn't her thing.
Worst yet, the bird thing kept trying to claw her apart at every turn. Apparently it was a predator and liked fish. The naiad's hand blended into her hair as she pulled it back. This was going to be an annoying trip. Leith had no idea where Ocie even lived these days. Sammy squawked, following the fish she'd been calling a parent. They were going somewhere today, and she didn't know where. The young female was excited to see new parts of the place they lived very often. Mostly, mostly it was just the little place that the fish lady called a home that they were. It wasn't very far from the water. There were a lot of times when they were in the water. Sammy kind of liked the water.
She grinned, stretching her clawed hands out a little. The fish lady smelled so yummy, she really wanted to bite into her. Why was it that the fish lady never got bit? Sammy couldn't understand it. She'd gotten her claws into the fish a time or two, but she'd never gotten a bite. Sammy was still nursing the burn from the last time she tried eating the fish lady.
"Where we go?" She asked, curious.

Ocie was laying on the beach, sunning himself. He'd had a lot on his mind since Twinkle had told him he was to be a father. How was he even going to be a good father when he couldn't even stay on land long enough to visit his future children. He was going to have to relocate. The naiad winced, realizing that he'd worked so hard to find a home and settle in. Now he was going to have to move.
He was entirely lost in his thoughts when Leitha came through the brush by the nearby river. If it weren't for the extra set of footsteps, Ocie never would have noticed anything. Truly, he was distracted.Leitha's bright amethyst eyes scanned everywhere for the brat she called a son. She'd been ignoring the bird following behind her, putting all the effort she could into finding Ocie. Finally, emerging onto the beach, she spotted the little winged freak of a naiad. He was sunning himself? What on the isle was wrong with this child.
The naiad stomped towards her son, glaring at him. "I've got something for you." Her voice was a growl.Sammy squeaked, hiding in the trees when Leitha growled at the weird looking fish thing. He had a tail on land like she did when she was in water. And he had... Were those wings? The harpy was excited. So much so that she forgot she was almost ready to attack the fish thing a moment ago. Wings! She'd never seen something with wings before.
"Who you?!" She all but screamed, rushing over to Ocie. He had wings. She had to know!

Ocie jumped, scrambling back into the water at his mother's words. Not only was her appearance at this time in his life not a good thing, her tone of voice and that stance. He was terrified for his life. Ocie's eyes were wide with worry, fixed directly on Leitha when Sammy rushed over to him.
Another bird child? And it looked the same age as Sparrow. The sprite was still terrified out of his mind, but good night, this was a shock. He thought Sparrow was the only one out there like her.
"What on the isle is going on?!" He exclaimed, looking from his mother to the young bird. Why was the bird so excited to see him? Was his mother treating this poor child the same way he'd been treated growing up? He certainly hoped not.
"This... Thing. This is what I'm here for." She continued to growl. Leitha was about half a second from just turning around and leaving. Without Sammy of course. But, she felt the need to explain what she knew of the thing. It was about as much as she knew about where Ocie came from. He was one of those weird magic babies she'd heard of coming from the isle. It was even more strange because he looked somewhat like her. He just had wings.
"She's yours now."
Sammy blinked, looking from Leitha to Ocie. They... They looked kind of alike. Who was this new fish person? Why did he have wings? Sammy grinned, reaching out for him. He didn't look like he was as fast as Leitha. She could get her claws into him. And he was a shiny fish person.
She snapped to her senses when Leitha mentioned something about being his? What did that mean? Was she going to live with the new fish boy? Maybe he would teach her how to fly?

Ocie's eyes widened. Not only was he going to be a father, he was going to be taking care of something that looked like Sparrow too? Good guardians he was going to be a very busy sprite. If it weren't for the fact that Ocie was going to refuse to show weakness in front of his mother, he would have fainted on the spot. Children and birds. Oh guardians no. He was not excited for any of it. The children were a mistake and then to add in this weird little bird thing...
"What the hell are you talking about?" Ocie rubbed his temples. Why was she dumping this on his already full plate?
Leitha sighed, glaring at him. How was he this dense? Of all things for her son to not understand. "This is your thing to take care of now. I'm done with her." The naiad gave Sammy a nudge forward. Okay, so she wasn't exactly clear on the matter the first time, but if he didn't get it by now.. She hated to think what he'd have to re-learn if he didn't.
Sammy jumped, falling face first down to Ocie's level on the sand. She squeaked a little. Did the fish lady not want her anymore? Her silvery eyes watered, bringing up tears she didn't know would ever come. The bird... Deep down, she loved the fish lady that had taken care of her for so long.
So why was she being pushed off to this weird fish boy? What did Sammy do wrong? Her watery eyes looked up at Leitha, trying not to let the tears spill over. The cold look she got in return undid her resolve. Sammy started bawling, terrified that she was doing something wrong.
