HP: 24/24 Needs 16+ to hit Rolled: 19 (+7) = 26, hit Damage: 19 (+7) = 26/2 = 13 Damage Briella liked to practice, you never knew when you would need to be able to defend yourself, and now that she had Ilyra she had to be able to defend her as well. Sure Ilyra was older now, and could defend herself, but to Briella she was still a youngling and needed to be taken care of.
When she fought Yansa it was an easy win. She wanted to fight an earthling, but there wasn't an earthling that she knew and could just ask to duel her. She had heard of a halfling that had recently moved up in rank, and also he had a hammer! That was a weapon she had never used or fought against. So she had sought him out.
Luckily Yaholo had agreed to practice with her. "Don't go easy on me!" she said with a smile before going towards him with her blades.

The fact the Yaholo had actually made it to guard status was a befuddling idea itself at first, but having to actually battle other people to hone his skills, that was even more daunting. You mean he actually had to hit people with his hammer, for practice?! This concept was... Terrifying! What if he actually hurt them? Like, really destroyed them?! Not that it would be on purpose... BUT STILL! At first, he only wanted to practice with his elders from the leaf tribe, but they proved a little too easy for him. In fact, his own father forfeited the mock battle they had set up because Yaholo's hammer was too much for him! His father, the strongest man he knew, admitted that he wasn't as strong as his son. DAMN. That was an eye opener! Sure, he was getting older, but DAAAAMN!
Though, as soon as he was approached by Briella and offered a practice battle, his growing sense of pride couldn't refuse. He had to battle another Alkidike, he had to show that he was just as good as his sisters were. A whole new wave of confidence took roost within him, and he wasn't about to let it fade away with the wind.
"Don't worry, I won't!" Yaholo replied, suppressing a soft smirk. He leered to the side as she came at him and twisted his body so that he avoided her blades, before swooping in behind her and laying a swift blow to her back.

HP: 19/24 Needs 16+ to hit Rolled: 15 (+7) = 22, hit Damage: 1 (+7) = 8/2 = 4 damage. Briella smiled as he twisted away. From what she knew about the halfling he was raised with his Earthling family, so he shouldn't be as quick as she was. Even if he was part Earthling, it was clear that Alkidike blood was in his system.
Her attack was strong, and if it had hit him she was sure it would have done some damage. However he was more agile then she had expected him to be and avoided her attack easily. He was no Elder, no he was young, quick and strong. She grimaced when he hammer hit her in the back and she turned quickly trying to hit him while he was still focused on hitting her.
"Gotta say, I'm starting to see the usefulness of a hammer." she admitted to him. When she had once thought the weapon silly, like most Earthling weapons, it would leave a nice bruise for her in the morning.

Yaholo smirked but reminded himself to keep focused, dodging her next attack with ease. So, she didn't see the usefulness in a hammer up until this point? Well, he would show her just how useful it could be at full potential! He swung across, hoping to land a hit to her shoulder.

HP : 16.1/24 Counter attack Needs 16+ to hit Rolled: 18 (+7) = 25, hit Damage: 13 (+7) = 20/2 = 10 damage He hit her shoulder, but not as much as the attack was meant for, she knew that. It still stung, but not as much as it would have if it had the full force. She quickly moved to hit him back, she would prove to him that the weapons that they normally used were just as good as his earthling weapon!

His hammer hit her again, and it was in the very spot where he had hit her before. She had to make her self not cry out in pain. But she wasn't that weak, she could handle it and she would. Once again she went to attack Yaholo, hoping this time he wouldn't be able to dodge her attack!

Now the karma from his overconfidence had caught up to him. He moved to avoid her blades just as he had done before but slid on a stray stone on the ground. As he slid, his side rubbed up against Briella's blades and created a few slashes, before he lunged forward again and caught his balance. Okay, now he really had to focus and think. He prepared for Briella's next attack.

She smiled, he was doing good but it seemed that she had earned the upper hand here. She watched him and once again went towards him with her blades, showing him no mercy just as she would have wanted him to do. There was no use practicing if they were going to go easy on each other.
