Skellyphones weren't all that complicated, as it were. It was remarkably the same as usual cell phones. However, the nuances tended to be a little too ridiculous for Otto's understanding. His golem sat on the steps outside the Undead Dormitory, fiddling with the workings of the phone while Tenya unhelpfully babbled in his mind. The last few times he'd been here, the voice changer hadn't been fully functional yet. However, this time all systems were go. <>That's just creepy. He replied within his head. The golem sighed slumped, cringing at the girly sound his voice made through the changer. "Creeeepyyyyy...." He pouted.

"What's creepy?" Amrita asked curiously, rounding the corner just in time to hear the strange ghoul's sigh of the word. The Patchwork paused in front of the steps to the dorm, her head tilted as she regarded the eyeless ghoul. This one she didn't recognize at all; perhaps she was new? Hmm.
"Are the skeletons in the basement rattling in tandem again?" Because the last time that happened, it did indeed sound creepy, even for Halloween standards. "Because I can ask them to stop, if you want."

The golem looked up suddenly to find they were not alone. "Ah..." Otto waited as the ghoul rambled on, and something hit him. This was that ghoul. That ghoul who had backwards feet just like the thing that attacked him. He'd questioned her once before, and he still had his doubts. But in this body, he had to remain unbiased. He was on a mission, after all.
"N-no. Leave'em be.." Skeletons doing what now? Definitely creepy!
"I'm just.. still getting used to things here. Everything is weird." Yeah, that was basically the truth. It just doubled as new kid woes. "I'm used to routine." He did what he could to keep his accent on the lowdown. The voice changer helped, but a certain drawl was hard to hide. Did Halloween kids HAVE drawls?

Oh good. One less thing to worry about...

Amrita's feet were indeed backwards today, as she found it most comfortable that way; her hands too, twisted at the wrist in the most uncomfortable looking way. To her it was second nature to deal with limbs this way, and everything else was weird.
"Nothing like your home, eh? It's okay, it'll pass. I think most people find this place weird at first." Amityville was something strange, but if this ghoul was anything like she was, well...it might take a long time getting used to. "Mind if I sit?" She pointed to the spot on the stairs beside the sitting ghoul. "Maybe I can help?"

The golem nodded, head down shy and body scooching slowly to the side to allow room to sit. Well, if there was one thing good about this situation, it was getting closer to the enemy as a friend might reveal details that could help himself, his friends, and Deus as a whole. After all, if this ghoul was who he thought she was, he might be able to prevent more people from getting hurt. Like himself. And Nevada.
"S'fine..." The golem fidgeted with the phone, brand new and shiny. "M'not really sure where to start... I got a tour already, so I know where stuff is.."

Amrita hopped up the stairs and took a seat beside the ghoul, smoothing out the blood stained yellow skirt over her knees. "Oh, already got a tour? Well, that's half the battle already over!" She chuckled, leaning to put her chin in a backward palm, staring thoughtfully ahead of her. "All settled in then, though? Uh..." The ghoul paused, looking out of the corner of her eye at the stranger. Yes. Stranger.
"Oh, Jack! I'm sorry, I was rude! My name is Amrita. I'm a Third Year here, and...and I'm the Student Council Vice President! So if you have questions or something, I'm here to help!" It still felt really, really weird to her to announce that she was on Student Council. It was an accomplishment that she was incredibly proud of, considering she had started from, well, scratch. The Patchwork held out her left hand - which was positioned as a right hand, thanks to being backward - to the ghoul. "It's nice to meet you."

She was friendly. Open. Almost normal. It creeped him out even more. But what caught his interest was her position. Student Council? Oh s**t. He needed to get good and close to this one. The closer, the better. She could very well be a goldmine of information.
"My name's Enya. It's nice to meet you too, Amrita." The golem replied, face stoic and unreadable. Having no eyes did a lot to hide one's inner thoughts. Reaching out, he move to shake her hand, although he had to double back and use a different hand after studying its backwards nature.
"How long have you been on student council? Is it hard?"

"Enya." Amrita repeated softly, almost curiously. "That's a pretty name! I've only been on the council for a few Octobers now. It's a lot of hard work and incredibly time consuming, but I love it! We actually just ran Prom last month...too bad you missed it, it was fun. Carnival-themed." The ghoul nodded, smiling brightly. As stressful as that night had been, it had been an awful lot of fun. "But if you're ever interested in trying...definitely do! It's hard work but it's worth it. We need more happy things around here." The ghoul rested her chin in a palm, slouching forward on her knee as she looked about thoughtfully. She really didn't know what to do. Meeting people was a lot harder than she remembered it to be...apparently, she was out of practice.
"So! Any questions about the school you're curious about, or don't understand yet?"

"Thank you.." Yes. Pretty name. Once again, Tenya had insisted on using her name, so Otto compromised and used half. Otto's discomfort in having to pretend to be a ghoul was made a little easier as he followed Tenya's prompts.
The fact that these things even had a Prom blew his mind. It was a whole other universe over here.
"Oh.. I don't think I'd like to do that." The golem admitted in a murmur. "That much responsibility sounds... like a lot of trouble." In fact, Otto usually tried to avoid it. But he'd found himself in trouble with the big boss. Now, he had to take on some responsibility in order to live.
<try to sound like you have initiative and vigor!>>
No way. I suck at lying. He replied mentally.
"I'm learnin' as I go. I just got a Skellyphone the other day. I've never had one before.."

"I didn't think I could when I was a first year, either." Amrita said softly, casting a small smile at Enya. "But who knows what'll happen in the coming years! You'll surprise yourself I'm sure. You definite get no better training than here at Amity!" She leaned back to flex an arm with a small chuckle; and yes, she did mean to use the word training, not education. The patchwork settled down again, looking down at the skelephone as it was mentioned.
"Aha...well, I'm not going to be very much help there. Mine is pretty old and basic, I pretty much only text and critter with it." She pulled a fairly basic - and definitely scratched up and well-used - phone from her bra, showing it to the ghoul. The screen had obviously been replaced. It looked like it had gone through a dryer a few times, with all the scratches and dents. "But I have some tech-savvy friends who'd probably love to help, if you wanted me to call them?"

"Critter?" The golem enquired with a curious tilt of her head. "Sorry.. I've been out of touch with... everything lately." It murmured, tugging idly on one of her braids.
She gave a light nod. "As long as you aren't bothern' anybody.."

"Yeah! It's like...I don't know, this program where you sign up and can keep in touch with people. It has a word count limit or something, but it's handy, see?" As she spoke she flipped through her phone, opening up various screens until she found her own Critter account, showing it to the new ghoul. Once she was done she took the phone back and moved to her contact list, firing a couple texts off to see if anyone could help them.
"There, if they're not busy they'll respond. I'm sure they'd love to help."

The golem's eye sockets seemed to widen. This was just like Twitter! Something like this, with fast moving information and a buttload of contacts to follow would be gold. He'd need to do a lot more networking before he could fully get a hold of it. "That's amazing.." The golem's face settled once more, a fairly content expression. Otto was honestly a bit nervous knowing he would be confronting even more students. It wasn't like a one shot trip to Halloween for a quick mission. He'd have to form actual bonds. He barely liked doing that with humans, let alone the creatures that went bump in the night. "Do I have to make an account? I don't like putting my name on the.." <interwebz>>"..interwebz. Is that weird?"

"Uhh...I think so. I don't think you could just bring up their profiles..." She hummed curiously, flicking through the site and seriously pondering his question. "Oh! But that's not weird. A lot of people are uncomfortable with that. Maybe you could just put your first name on it?" Amrita shrugged. For a moment she went quiet, tapping through her phone...until she suddenly stood up, hands flying to her mouth.
"...Oh Jack! I forgot!" She whined for a moment, sliding her hands up her face and into her hair. "Hey, Enya? If you're not busy, would you like to come with me? I could use the extra hands."

Otto mentally groaned. A road block. He couldn't make an account considering he was human with no Halloween background. Maybe he could just make mention of its existence in his repot, and that would suffice.
The golem flinched at Amrita's sudden ascent up, "Forgot?" Otto stared for a while, "Oh.. uh. Sure. I can help." What was she doing?
