SE officially announced a new job yesterday at the Fan Festival! The new soloing job: The Puppetmaster. http://media.xbox360.ign.com/media/748/748456/vids_1.htmlHere are some videos on it. Not very rich on details, but you'll be able to see the AF. As well of a new PvM, Besieged. Basically, your basic siege. Protecing the city and all that. Sounds like a great expansion. What do you all think?

as i hear its suppose to be a cross between smn/bst/drg, puppeteer was only ever a mob job in the game...and to me it looks like a blatent rip off of kingdom hearts which = lameo to me -_-

Perhaps a better soloing job? I mean, they have a puppeteer, maybe summon different kinds of puppets, as well as their main weapons seems to be h2h.
Probably knows repairation and so on.

When I woke up to the Video on IGN, it didn't look so bad. It shows alot of promise. We'll see. And did they really call it the soloing class? BSTs gonna be angry...

Then again, it will make place for more variety and mixing for parties.
New tactics, new abilities, and all that cool stuff. :3
While I personally am waiting for Corsair just so I can cross-class COR/NIN to be an infamous Pirate Ninja Kitty, I'll probably also give Puppetmaster a go, just for the heck of it. Might end up liking the class. heart

Never noticed myself. I have my own reasons for COR/NIN, namely :
~ Pirate clothing ish t3h secks.
~ Pirates are awesome.
~ Corsairs wield guns!
~ Ninjas rock.
~ Ninjas get dual wield... Maybe I'll get to dual wield GUNS~! mrgreen
~ Ninjas / Pirates are sworn enemies, by internet standards. Mixing sounds fun. xd
~ Ninja Pirate Kitties appear in the Altermeta webcomic, always loved'em. whee
And of course, these two classes I'll be leveling up anyways, just like very other class in the game. xd

Corsair seems to be the least wanted job. On http://ffxi.killvoid.com/ the poll says most ppl want puppetmaser, next ppl want bluemage last is corsair. i can see why. Bluemage is a classic job that everyone loves Puppetmaster is something new and exciting. Corsair people cant really see the point in as its meant to be a supportive class with guns. confused

Far as ive seen in the pictures you weild swords as a main weapon, your specials deal with your ranged weapon, IE guns. in my own personal opinion nothing agenst yours....i hate ninja with a bleeding passion...just hate it.

True, hadn't thought of that. Hmm... Oh well, I guess time will tell.
Even if the class comes out as uber-sucky, I might as well end up leveling it just for the heck of going with the Ninja/Pirate cross-class joke on the infamous Pirates vs Ninjas internet war. xd
More than anything, my no1 choice for class is Redmage. But, I guess it's all up to how much time I spend online. X3

Yeah, I think I'll try out BLU/NIN. It seems pretty fun you know?
I'll be BBQing Mandies and SATA Sickle Slashing opponents. Damn... Sickle Slash ignores defense you know, would be pretty good against Kirin and the CoP wyrms.
