Jhulsa moved at a consistently different pace from most youngsters, always slow and deliberate. Running about was not in her repertoire, not at all - if she moved too fast, she might miss something! Worse, not only might she miss something, she might not realize she had missed it, and that would just be sad. She needed to see everything and know everything, and nothing less would do. She intended to acquaint herself with every inch of the mountain she could reach, and just as importantly, learn as much about the other lions who lived here as possible.
The juvenile was currently stalking around in the pre-dawn hours, near what was often a high-traffic area, on the lookout for anything or anyone interesting.

Bédoier had been settling into mountain life well enough. It was...a nice home. It wasn't the swamps he'd grown up with, or the plains and lake of the place his sister had taken refuge in for a time, or the place two of his cubs resided in...But it was nice. And it was home. Far from the reminder of the fires that had stolen the swamps from them and made it so fur never grew on parts of his daughter Nin's back.
In the pre-dawn hours, he'd roused himself from his mate's side to go hunting. He wanted to provide her with a surprise, with a nice treat...perhaps a small, plump creature that would be perfect to start her day off with! Lilika was the light of his life, after all, aside from their little ones, and she seemed to do better with a boost at the start of the day. At least in his mind. He hadn't expected to see a cub meandering about. Or stalking. It seemed too...deliberate to be meandering.
"Well! Hello there, young one!" He smiled brightly. "And what has you awake so early?"

The movement of the adult had just caught her eye when, it seemed, she also caught his. Well, that was fine. Instead of learning about him by watching him, she could learn about him by talking to him. That worked, too. She blinked at him for a moment, then offered him a small, polite smile. "Good morning. I'm exploring. You?"
