((This is a very short RP to show the birth. <3 Nothing special going on here.))

She had been one hell of a mate during the majority of her pregnancy. To say he had been expecting it would be an outright lie - nothing he could have imagined would have prepared him for this. Contrary to her usually chipper, playful personality, his beloved mate had turned....violent? Not in the way he was, mind you, but she was always finding a reason or a way to kick him or smack him or something of that like. It was strange, seeing his mate change from one personality to the next, but he supposed that's what pregnancy was like....he'd rather be on his end, then hers.
Blessita swelled up like a balloon, and she waddled her way around their living space like a duck most of the time. Umo found it quite amusing, but only when she wasn't looking...he wasn't foolish enough to think anything like that around her, or else risk another kick to the rear. Whenever she went to sleep, he took guard, watching over her peaceful body, all the while laughing to himself because of the size of her. Had she realized she had gotten so big? Did it matter to her? Umo knew there were children, his children, growing inside of her and it was only natural, but damn. Her small body was much, much too small to be lugging around all that extra weight; she looked disproportionate.
Ever since it all began, she never quite knew what to expect; but it surely wasn't any of this. Her mood took more tips, dives and turns than the average bird in flight, and she wasn't able to control any of it. One minute, she would be happily laughing along with her mate, the next, she'd be yelling at him for something he did, or did not do. The truth didn't matter, all that mattered was that he was there, and he was something to scream at, so she did. In fact, half of the time, she didn't even really know the reason why she was yelling - it just happened. More often than not, Blessita would end up apologizing profusely for being what she called, 'a bad mate', but her love never really seemed to care.
It amused him, and in the end, they were both happy enough.
The foals would be born soon, and then all would be back to normal. Or, as she desperately hoped, even better than before. It really was a dream come true.
Today was basically like any other day. The pair got up, ate, slept a bit more, ate again, talked, took a walk or two, and then slept the night away. Blessita had told him that it was the life she always wanted - a simple one - and she couldn't wait to introduce children into the world. They'd be a simple little family, with nothing too intense or dangerous to bother them. It was perfect.
Umo took notice to never mention Giorgia. In all the hectic preparation for the new foals, Blessita had seemed to all together forget about the young mare she raised so poorly. When the pregnancy first began, the poor mare would cry whenever she thought Umo wasn't looking, praying and hoping that one day her daughter would return to her. Umo, although it killed him to admit it out loud to himself, hoped and prayed for the opposite. That mare was nothing but trouble for his mate and him, and he didn't want such negativity around his pregnant beloved - he was bad enough! There were times he'd slip away when he thought she wasn't looking, and go hunting for prey. He just...couldn't help himself any more than she could with her crying.
He supposed it was their way of dealing separately, with what was to come.
But with her growing belly, he noticed she never brought up the topic of Giorgia, and he let it go. She need not be reminded of a terrible time.
He probably didn't know it, but Giorgia haunted her every thought; even this very day. She loved the children growing inside her, and she loved her mate, but this family wouldn't be a true, full family without the daughter that started it all. Blessita could tell Umo knew about the tears she shed for the lost loved one, and so she did her very best to hide it nowadays. No more tears, she kept telling herself, and opted for smiles and laughs instead. Besides, the foals needed to feel their mother happy and lively, or they'd come out depressed....isn't that right?
Well, if it wasn't, she'd still live by that rule. She wanted happy little foals, not sad ones. She wanted to be surrounded by love, not hate.
"Oomoeee." She giggled at him, as he nudged her swollen belly for the umpteenth time that afternoon. "Stop! Wha' if 'dey come out all silly-like cause a'you?" No harm was to come to her babies, not ever. She'd die for them, just as she knew Umo would. The foals, whatever genders or however many there were, would be protected until the day their parents died.
"They won't, darling." Umo stated rather short, as he was growing tired of having to tell her over and over again that the foals were fine. As long as they were kicking, he said to her not long ago, they were alive and healthy. The day they stopped kicking was the day to worry.
He couldn't help himself but stare at her belly while she slept though, just in case. The foals slept when she slept, thankfully, but there was still the occasional movement - which was both an amazing sight, and a calming one. There was no need to worry.
The stallion was about to make another off-handed comment when he noticed the expression on her face had changed. She looked...surprised? Confused? He couldn't quite place it until - ! "Blessita, is it time? Or did something go wrong? Oh...!" Panic flowed through his veins as he tore his eyes away from her and onto the ground beneath their hooves. She needed a soft spot to rest, whatever was happening. Her body couldn't take it anymore, standing up.
"Here, darling; right here." He nudged her softly to the ground, her face still riddled with shock. She spoke no words nor uttered any sounds, but her expression said more than she could dare allow. Easing her onto the soft grass below them, his eyes still filled with worry and panic. Was she going to be alright, were the foals going to be alright? Umo stared as nature began to take its course, not having a clue as to what to do. All he could do was hope it was okay.
The initial shock had been a bit much, but after she realized what was happening to her (from the help of her mate), she was fine. It was happening! She was finally going to officially be a mother! Omigosh! Blessita let herself be lead to the ground, and then did her best to assist her body in it's natural, motherly ways. This was her first time, and so it was difficult to understand and get used to, but he allowed it to happen without much protest...
------
And then she laid there, with three beautiful little baskets that would soon take the color of the foals inside them. Umo told her that he helped put them into the baskets that they collected along the way. The baskets seemed to have...appeared out of no where?....but she didn't question it - it was the ways of the Soquili world. all she knew was now she was the mother to three beautiful little children.

.....And so it began....
