Lacey stretched her wings as she stood up, smiling as she looked down upon her three boys. They were growing so fast and so strong. It seemed only yesterday she'd been protecting them by herself, and here she was, home, with her boys, and her family were just as accepting of them as they had been with everyone else. She stifled a giggle as Roman squirmed in his morning dream, only making him get closer to his brothers. Realizing that they would wake soon, Lacey hurried over to the orchard and began gather some fruits for the boys, especially mangoes as she knew it was Roman's favorite. She returned with the bag of fruits just in time for Roman to yawn and stretch awake, his wings stretching out wide before he blinked and let the world come into focus around him. "Morning, baby." She said warmly, nudging Roman before turning to the other two wakers to greet them. Roman immediately spied the bag of fruits and went to them, dumping them out delicately so they wouldn't bruise, and gathering the mangoes to himself, though he waited to eat until his brothers were ready.

Feeling his brother squirm beside him, Regulus gave a quiet groan of annoyance as a hoof pushed at his side. Damn brothers.. Was the only thought that flashed through his mind before he turned his head away to tuck it against the right of his leg as he tried to fall back into sleep. Oblivious of his mother's departure as he lamented on his current situation. He'd had another terrible night of sleep, it seemed no matter how long he stayed under he would always wake up groggy with an unknown emotion hiding in his gaze. Ears twisting to follow the sound of his mother's hoof-fall as she returned. Frown crossing his lips he let out a quiet huff as sleep refused to claim him again. Lifting his head, Regulus shook out his mane and yawned sleepily.
"Mornin' Momma." He greeted, a hint of warmth playing in his voice as he turned to look up at her before yawning sleepily. He always loved looking up at his mother, she was always so happy. It always made him want to act the same way. Yawning once more, he rubbed at the side of his face with his knee before moving to stand up. Stretching his legs out one by one, he ended with a quiet flick of his tail and turned to the sound of rustling from his brother Roman. "H-hey! Don't dump them all on the ground." He huffed as he trotted over to where an apple had rolled away. They were his favorite and Regulus didn't want to lose one! Snorting he picked it up and walked back over to where the rest of the fruit was to carefully shift through them as he tried to spy any pears or cherries.

Roman had been snoring and sleeping soundly until he heard Regulus's scolding. His ears flicked up. Dumping them...? Dumping what? Maybe it was... His eyes flew open as he scrambled to his feet, his red eyes fixing on the fruit. But in his rush, he tripped over his own hooves, getting a mouthful of dirt instead of mango. "Pfth!" Getting to his feet again, he spat out the dirt and held his head high, as if he hadn't made a mistake. He trotted over to his brothers and mother, grinning at the latter before he looked around at the fruit Roman had spilled. Since Regulus was going for apples and Roman the mangoes, Remus searched through the other fruit in the bunch. He didn't really have a favorite; he'd happily eat pretty much anything he was given. His teeth gently clamped around a peach, remembering all too well what had happened when he squeezed one too hard. He didn't think Roman or Regulus would like peach guts splattered on them again.

Roman grinned mischievously at his brothers as he moved his stash of mangoes to the other side of their grounds. Once he saw that both of them had started to eat, he smiled at Mama. "Thank you, Mama." he said, his voice bright and happy and full of feeling as he went over to nuzzle her before going back to his mangoes to eat them eagerly.
Lacey laughed softly at her boys, nuzzling Regulus when he came to her for an extra second than she had the other two. She knew her boys well, more than they realized. Of course, she was the one that carried them in her womb before they even had conciousnesses, so it was only natural that she would know every nuance of her boys' personalities and quirks. She knew that Remus and Roman knew she loved them, just like she knew that Roman was constantly heading south to train with Ruin, even though he knew she wouldn't like it. She also knew that Remus had accompanied his brother a time or two, but had always come back quickly. She knew Regulus too. Her distrustful son who's emotions were swirled and confusing to himself. She knew hew as confused and unsure how to act, and she knew, that she needed to make sure he knew she loved him. By far, Reg was the one she worried about the most. He hadn't exactly bonded with his brothers, like Remus and Roman had, and he held himself at a distance from the rest of the family... and that was the one thing that she was unsure and confused about. Was it cause she had left them alone as babies shortly after they were born? Had she missed some unknown crucial bonding time with her youngest son? The thought plagued her and she wished she had someone to ask, but was worried about asking her mother. "Eat up boys, we're gonna go to the lake today." She said, hiding her emotions and thoughts easily behind her warm facade.

Regulus stayed by the pile of fruit, already quietly munching on a crisp red apple by the time his brother's set off to do the same. Tail flicking idly, the foal took a moment to look over at the two of them. They always seemed so awake in the mornings, so ready to face the day head on. Yet he felt reliant on the apple before him to shake the groggy feeling from his coat. Returning his full focus to the task ahead of him, Regulus found himself already finishing off a third apple, leaving one at his hooves by the time his mother spoke up about their plans for the day. "We're going to the lake?" He questioned, a hint of excitement lining his tone as he turned to look at her, the lake had always been a fun place. Yet within moments his ears flicked back, and brows pulled together as a strange feeling flicked through his mind. Something about the idea suddenly felt off, as if the whispers of his mind wanted to make sure he knew the lake was indeed not a good place to go today. Shaking out his mane as he quickly rid himself of the idea, Regulus walked over to his mother and nuzzled her side as he looked for a moment of comfort.
"It'll be fun." He announced more to himself when he moved away from her and looked over at his brothers as he waited for them to finish up. The water would definitely wake him up for awhile.

Remus's face lit up at his mothers words. The lake. Somewhere different, somewhere that he hadn't explored completely. He couldn't speak with a mouthful of peach, but he pranced about Lacey to express his excitement. He swallowed his current bite and had just taken a second one when he saw Regulus's expression change to something... well, not excited. He was going to ask what was wrong, but his brother seemed to have ridden himself of the thought and had gone over to nuzzle his mother before waiting for him and Roman. Well, it must've just been an odd thought. He was sure Regulus was fine.
He finished his peach and dug into an apple that Regulus hadn't eaten before prancing around his mother again. "The Crash is ready," he announced with a grin.

Roman's nose turned up at the idea of the lake, but he supposed it wouldn't be a bad idea. Just... Maybe his flames wouldn't go out. They'd see. His brothers were sure excited about it so, he would act excited too. Maybe. He smiled and finished off his mangoes before going up to his mother. "I'm ready too Mama." He said brightly, his red eyes glistening with love and adoration for his mother.
Lacey smiled down at her boys and nuzzled them each, one by one as they finished and came to her. "Alright, its this way boys." She said, leading the way, her babies following around her like exuberant little ducklings. She kept her eyes out though, always scanning her surroundings. If one thing were to make a threat towards her boys... But it wouldn't. Not today, because today was a happy day, and it was happy because she had her boys. All three of her beautiful boys, who she couldn't love any more than she already did. It didn't take them long to reach the lake, and when they did she smiled at them before racing into the water. "Come on boys. You'll love it!" She said happily, splashing water up the shore line to them.
