67 - 10 (for the Drakeins) = 57 Need 80-100 Failed
Gained a +5 for familiarity for Rio, Lanzecki, and Uassae.
Erionda yawned as she stretched her arms over her head. Her legs pressed tightly up against Uassae's sides. It was early morning and Erionda had run out of cured meat on the shelf. The clouds hanging over the sky gave a softer heat to the sands than normal. Licking her lips Erionda glanced from side to side as the trio moved along through the sands. Her sword attacked to her back firmly with the shield over that. Licking her dry lips to moisten them from the heat Erionda moved to block the sun out of her eyes with her hand. Her mismatched eyes focused on a distant shadow against the sun. Narrowing her eyes Erionda patted Uassae's neck and motioned towards the creature.
As if without any instruction both Drakein and Keindred moved stealthily forward. Once they had approached a small herd Erionda kicked her leg over and off Uassae. Is that a Hastar? Lanzecki asked.
Yes, a heard of them. I hear they make great pets, rumor has it that they can be caught and trained. Erionda's mental link returned the comment as her eyes scanned over the majestic creatures.
Really! Try! Lanzecki yelped as he burst forward.
Uassae growled low at the younger Drakeins enthusiasm. Erionda sighed burring her face in the palm of her hands. Lanzecki lacked the restraint needed to capture a wild animal. His advance would be perfect if they were hunting and she had never tasted Hastar meat before. Turning her eyes up to the heard in time to see it start scattering. "Lanzecki you fool! That's not how we start this, if we want to capture any for taming!"
Ooops
"I guess we better at least gather some meat while we are out here. And wait to try again and hope for better chances next time around." Erionda muttered at Lanzecki's confession of his mistake.
