Written as having belonged to King Arthur under the name Carnwennan, the dagger was said to have the ability to shroud its owner in shadow. Centuries of mistranslations have twisted the true story of this dagger to favor the ancient King. The dagger truly belonged to the witch Orddu, but Arthur stole it from the witch after learning of its abilities.
Since then it has been lost, hidden away in the ruins of what had once been a castle. The only remaining entrances are at the very top of the castle..

And the bottom...

Historical IC Background: This castle was not particularly grand or large, mostly used as a private getaway for those who knew of its existence. After the fall of Camelot this castle gradually deteriorated into ruin itself along with items its previous visitors may have left behind either intentionally or accidentally. A landslide eventually destroyed most of the castle, the cliff it sat on collapsed and swallowed up most of the building and left only two small entrances. The broken roof, and the secret escape tunnel for nobles and royals who needed to escape and arrive discreetly.

Pack of tissues - 1 point 1 Hammer - 2 points 1 Wrench - 2 points
Getting to the lower entrance: Getting in from the top of the castle would require spelunking and caving gear, it is simply easier and safer to start from the bottom. The lower entrance is hidden by a portion of the cliff that has collapsed around it and nearly completely destroyed it, and it is also mostly blocked off by water. Scaling the cliff is too dangerous without the proper training, which will come later, the team will be crossing the lake.
Luckily, the lake is mostly only knee deep at the highest.
Mostly.
There are sections that are deeper, small pockets where the ground has sunken in.
Be careful.
- It takes 6 rolls to cross the lake, there will be no HP loss for this portion. However, keep in mind what you packed in your bag. - Roll 1d10, the roll dictates how deep the water is where you're walking. For example, Candace rolls 1d10 and rolls a 5, she falls into a hole nearly as deep as she is tall and quickly swims back to a safe level. Candace rolls a 2, the water is only to about her thighs.
