Ricky needed a shower, badly. The club had not one, not two, not even just three, but four bachelorette parties that night. Luckily, that meant a lot of tips for Ricky. Unfortunately, two of those bachelorette parties had some kind of infatuation for glitter, and now the boy was covered from head to toe in sparkling colorful specks, clumping in places where he didn't like anything to clump. To top it all off, it was itching pretty bad, too.
Scratching himself as he exited through the club's back entrance, the boy cautiously crossed the street to make his way home. With all the parties, it had been a rather late night, well-past midnight - which in Destiny City's downtown district meant he was almost asking for trouble to find him. Or something to find him.

Super Sailor Aster's hunt for answers to the attacks on the carnival had been coming up dry. She wanted something to report to Luxor, but lately it almost felt as if she was sprayed with Negaverse agent repellent - she hadn't encountered one on her patrols in quite some time, and she was more motivated to find one than ever. She wanted answers, some answers, but dug up nothing instead. That is, however, until she thought she found one of her answers.
Taking a break on a club rooftop, the Super Senshi of Sunflowers spotted a familiar face exiting a club - her old friend Ricky Cunningham. She nearly had to do a double take to verify it was in fact him. The last time she had seen him was the night of the carnival - the night that their mutual friends Desiree and Michael were brutally murdered.
As far as she knew, he hadn't been seen by anyone since. She had almost given up her search for him after two weeks of checking his place and more time spent trying to call and text but the phone was always out of service. He had vanished into thin air once before - to the Surrounding two years back - but she knew this was different. There was something else to it, but she couldn't place just what - and that only made her more suspicious of him, and his potential involvement in the deaths of their friends.
Hungry for answers, the Super Senshi leapt off the rooftop and landed directly before the boy.
"Hold it," she ordered. "I've got questions for you."

What the ---
"For me?" Ricky questioned, oblivious and confused. What was going on? He wasn't powered up, so couldn't sense the girl's power signature, but she certainly didn't look like any agent of the Negaverse or Dark Mirror Court. In fact, he was pretty sure he had seen her before a few times. But since when did Senshi start stopping random citizens on the street? Ricky had heard about that news broadcast claiming Senshi were terrorizing the city, but even he knew better than that. Or at least, he thought he did. Was that a sign of change?
"I don't think you got the right guy," Ricky tried to insist.

"Ricky Cunningham? Yeah, I got the right guy," Aster insisted back, crossing her arms. She needed a cover story to explain herself a little, but began spitballing out some lies. "Look man, I've been following your case - your disappearance. You went missing the same night of the attacks on the carnival, went missing for weeks, yet here you turn up, perfectly fine. You know something, and I want to know what it is."
She took a step forward, getting close to him.
"What do you know about the attacks on the carnival? What was your involvement?" she spat. "Are you working with the Negaverse?"

"Erm...what?" Ricky questioned. He had heard about attacks at the carnival, but had assumed they were just part of the small incident inside the mirror house. As far as he knew, that was the extent of everything. Since returning to the city, released from captivity in mirrorspace, he didn't make any efforts to get in touch with former friends. It was a difficult adjustment to make that he wasn't quite ready for - especially with his cell phone stolen from him.
"I don't know a thing about what you're babblin' on about," he explained. "And I ain't no damn Negaverse agent, so back off me."
Ricky tried to step away, but the Senshi blocked him. "I said back off." Frustrated, he gave a light shove to the Senshi's shoulder.

"Excuse me?" she exclaimed, infuriated by the shove. "Oh ******** no, man. No you did not just do that."
"Sunflower Turret Field!" she shouted, instantly feeling a bit of guilt for using her magic against an unarmed civilian that she was harassing in the streets. It was the kind of behavior that would likely get her Senshi license revoked, if there was such a thing as a Senshi license. Then again, it would have probably been revoked a long, long time ago. "s**t, sorry. But seriously dude, what the ********? Don't push me!"

The next thing Ricky knew, he had three sunflowers popping up from the ground before him, each shooting sunflower seeds at rapid fire into his abs. It didn't hurt too bad at first - but as they continued to hit the same area, it started to get sensitive. He tried to block them with his arms, but was mostly just getting irritated instead.
"You ain't being very nice," Ricky growled as the sunflower seeds started to cool their attack on him. Frustrated and pushed to a point of anger, he angrily powered-up to Troy Squire of Chronos. "Now you ain't gonna like me at all."

"Wait, wait, Ricky, stop!" Aster demanded before the Knight laid a first move against her. "It's me! It's me!" She sensed the area one last time, and looked around for witnesses.
"It's Haley," she whispered. "It's just me...I thought you were...I'm sorry."
"I thought you had something to do with Desiree and Michael's murders at the carnival, I had no idea you were on our side in this war," she explained. "But where were you then? What happened?"

Troy nearly attacked the Senshi, but stopped his own raised fist at the mention of her true name.
"Haley?" he questioned. "You're Haley?"
It was a lot of information to process. "....Michael and Desiree are dead?" A lot. He felt a panic attack start to creep up on him.
"I...I was kidnapped, I had no idea," he started out before the emotions overtook him. Crying, he powered back down to his civilian form, followed by Aster powering down to Haley. "When...what? How?"

"You didn't know?" Haley questioned. "I'm sorry to break it to you that way. Look, there's a lot of ground to cover. A lot. I'll explain everything, but I have questions too."
The two started to talk, sharing their experiences as they returned to Ricky's apartment - Haley explained her life as Super Sailor Aster leading up to the discovery of Michael and Desiree's bodies, the attacks on the carnival, and her subsequent investigation into it all, as Ricky explained his history as Troy of Chronos beginning with the Surrounding, leading up to being kidnapped and imprisoned in mirror space. They spent the whole night together, talking and covering all the territories, each happy to have found a new ally in the war, found in an old friend.
