Survey Mission 4BLocation: The Abandoned Takakonuma Greenland Park Images:: x, x, x. General debriefing: Recently, the park opened itself up for a different type of tourist crowd, making itself a fun tourist set for locals, until unexplained deaths began happening to those on-site. Falling beams, uneven flooring, and occasionally, witnesses have claimed that they hear voices, oddly enough of themselves through the fog. * C class difficulty level (must have a team of three, at least one of them must be an intermediate trainee) MECHANICS * MECHANICS: RP assembling a team, as necessary, before heading towards the Lighthouse portal to request a portal to Survey Mission 4B. Once there, roll a 100-sided dice and match the roleplay to the results below, as well as any reactions. Players can continue rolling until any of the players roll a INSANITY ENCOUNTER, in which case the BATTLE PHASE begins. See below for battle phase mechanics. 1- 20: You have a hard time getting past the fog, everything thick and desolate. Finally you see something, a flash of something, colour in the fog. You run over to it to discover that it is a mutilated corpse. Its face has been torn clean off its head, maggots crawling out of the skull. 21 - 40: You notice that some of the rides are moving on their own, from the roller coaster - still taped off with DANGER DO NOT ENTER - to the excuse of a ferris wheel. A body slumps to one side of the ticket booth, dried out. You turn around as you hear a strange hissing noise. As you turn back, the body standing, still, in front of the ticket booth. 41 - 60: You stumble for a second, as if someone, one of your teammates have shoved you, but when you look around, you notice that there is noone else in sight. 61 - 80: You see a mirror maze, and walk into it, your reflection eerie in each broken mirror fragment. Everything suddenly turns an oblique white and as you regain your vision seconds later, all your reflections have been replaced with your body melting, face and skin melting right off your face's reflection. Your reflection continues to copy everything you do. 81- 100: BOSS ENCOUNTER: - As you continue walking down the sidewalk you hear a large crack, followed by another. A strange gas explodes from underneath, making you extremely dizzy, as you cough to figure out what is going on, fighting for air now. You have exposed your entire team to a hallucinogen, making everything more terrifying than ever as your vision swims and hops uncontrollably and your hearing becomes muted. Something creaks, groans, lurches underneath you, but is that your imagination? - BOSS MECHANICS: This boss is a mob that has collective 100 HP. Every time you attack it (following the general battle rules), you TAKE 8 damage. AS you can't really see the boss, most of it will have to be dependent on what you can see, if anything at all, from strange faceless figures lurching, half-hopping towards you to the smiling dead coming back and swiping at you. Make sure to tally the boss's total HP (the damage you did to it) at the bottom of your post as well as your total HP and the damage you did that round. If the boss's HP hits 0, you have defeated it, and your team can now take the portal back. ((* You are all horrible people))

A theme park people died at. Yeah. Sure. Okay. Why not. What could possibly go wrong?
She looked up at Rep and then to the other boy who was accompanying them. Heidi had no idea who this kid was but it was okay, she was happy to meet new people.
"Soooo..they think monsters are doing this? It just sounds like a bunch of accidents and safety code violations."

A mission was just what Rep needed, being trapped on the island lately without being allowed to spar with Tracey was slowly but surely driving him crazy, any chance to get out and about was more than welcome.
Theme parks still to this day gave him chills, he'd almost ended up bleeding to death in one and had walked away with his most prominent scars. After his encounter with the exiled horseman he'd been lucky to still have his arm and lucky to still be breathing.
The fog here wasn't helping with the anxious edge either, too close to insanity.
He was set to summon Tracey any moment. "As much as I'd like to think its just some dodgy health and safety, when it's a place like this, I'm doubtful. Theme parks are a ******** nightmare."

Al flanked the side of the strange girl opposite Rep, he didn't really remember her yet but she looked about as new as he felt... so that meant acting even older than that. "Who knows really, they wouldn't have us waste our time and resources if there wasn't something offputting, right Rep?" Rep seemed to agree.

"You think?" Heidi frowned. She liked theme parks..
But apparently theme parks did not like them.
Heidi heard the large crack and immediately summoned Matilda. This was certainly familiar. She stepped closer to Rep and Al so as not to lose them like she had Tuck and Wash. Her knees buckled when she first inhaled the gas, and she quickly covered her face with her scarf.
It was too late. The sounds were already starting to ring in her ears.
No.
No.
No!

Rep flinched at the cracking of the pavement, familiar dread kicking in in anticipation of what was to come. This particular breed of fog creature had attacked him before on missions and every time it seemed to get worse.
He tried not to breathe, but there was no option but to inhale as he summoned Tracey to hand, his vision skewing and his hearing wavering troublingly.
Closing his eyes he swung out at the creature before it could solidly form, but the hiss of anger he got in return sounded to him far too much like his mother.
"I'll need some ******** defence." he said a little more panicky than he meant to.

Al squeaked in terror as their entire party had walked right into a trap and that trap was now attempting to choke the life right out of him. Despite the dizzying spin, there was now a familiar whisper... it was calling... calling him home... He took a staggered step in the direction of it before abruptly coming to a halt at the order. His attention refocused to Rep. He moved towards him, intent to obey but... well.. that voice it just...

Heidi struggled with her scarf a minute, desperately trying to keep her face covered so as not to breathe anymore smoke. Bad. Bad. Bad.
She was slow to get into position and defend Rep, and even when she did it wasn't really all that great.

He didn't blame them both for the hesitant defense, what they were fighting was intangible and difficult to pinpoint and they were trying to defend someone wielding an axe larger than he was, they didn't know how to get into the dead zone, the eye of the storm the way Harrison did. It would be fine in any other situation but this thing always pushed people to the wire.
If he could he wouldn't have looked at the thing directly, but he had to to swing, had to see the long brown hair matted with neglect and the slender arms that were practically skin and bones.
His blow was glancing at best.

Al shook his head dazedly as Rep suddenly bolted past to swing at the perceived enemy. But that voice.. it was... no. It wasn't. Al set his jaw and ran after Rep determinedly. A light flickered from behind Nuru's teeth as Al swung the stave wildly at the putrid smoke - beating it back while revealing it for what it was. It was not real.

A giggle echoed nearby and Heidi tensed. She heard footsteps, saw flashes of light off in the distance. Something creaked, something screamed. No. Don't pay attention to it. The flash of light as Tracey moved near them startled her and she had to duck away from it. Holy crap his weapon was massive. How was than even possible?!
Note to self: Stay out of the way of Rep's swing.
She shot an arrow out at a figure she couldn't quite make out the exact shape of. The figure disappeared, the light of the arrow vanishing. Did she..do anything?

They might not have been Harrison, but Al and Heidi now they seemed to have caught up to speed with the fight at hand were certainly ******** starting to pass muster, the taloned injection pocked hand deflected from its swings at him long enough to gather his focus.
It wasn't her. It would never be her, she was dead, she was rotting, she was in the ground.
Why did these ******** monsters never let him FORGET?!
He was momentarily somewhere else when he swung out again, only narrowly missing his defenders as he buried several inches of cold black steel in the temporarily substantial body of their assailant. The look of pain on its features -features mimicking to him exactly those of his mother - giving him the most guilty and vicious twist of pleasure.
It wasn't her, but he could pretend.

Al about pissed himself, far more terrified of the massive ******** razor-sharp blade that came crashing down mere inches from him than the monstrous smoke creature it was aimed at. He was alive though and still in one piece. That just meant watch where the ******** you were going in this putrid cloud. He moved close to Rep's side and continued to use Nuru to fan the toxic smog away from their group.

Heidi cringed at the sound of the axe slamming into the ground. The metal of the blade practically shrieked as it hit the concrete, the cracking of cement sounding eerily similar to the breaking of bones. It made her sick to her stomach. She shuddered and looked away.
It was getting easier to move out of the way of Rep's axe. She was lucky enough to be just short enough to duck under his arms and slide out of his way when he moved, swinging Matilda to strike at something coming at them with one of her blades. The bow went straight through it but it didn't disappear.
What. What is even.
She frowned behind her scarf and tried to kick it away, just keep it away from the Hunter fending off whatever it was coming at them.

The charge thrummed in Tracey like he'd been struck by lightning, a low potent hum carried through him as his runes blazed and hemorrhaged light into the mist. The thing that was not his mother was held at bay long enough for him to leap forward like a wild animal, charging before leaping nimbly straight up in defiance of gravity, the enormous axe slung behind him like a trailing wing.
But in the air the ground vanished into the mist and there was nothing below him to aim at, nothing to center on and no certainty he'd be caught.
The hesitation was his downfall, and as he swung the axe over his shoulder and came down with all the weight at his disposal. It was only as he crashed into several inches of solid concrete that he realised the creature had slithered off further away where it seemed to smile at the pain that screamed through his shoulders as he took the brunt of it all.
"You can do nothing but fail" it seemed to whisper and he couldn't tell if it was all in his ******** head.
