Nuivian was fuming. It was one thing to be continually tossed into trees one way or another, and definitely another when blood was drawn. Nuivan’s arm was bleeding! He almost couldn’t believe that that damned creature had had the audacity to bite him. He was left standing in shock for what was just a split second before the anger seeped in.
And it had ripped. His. Robes.
He took off into the forest to chase the thing; sure he was going to cut its head clean off this time. He wasn’t one for charging in and fighting, but he sure as hell wasn’t going to stand by while he was so blatantly abused. He tore through the forest as fast as his growing legs would take him and chased after what was fleeting glimpses of wings through the forest. He would catch it. And he would kill it.
He rounded a tree and could see the wings slowly getting closer. Aha. This time Nuivian felt like he had him. The Ysali dragon settled in another part of the forest, probably assuming that Nuivian wouldn’t have followed after it this far after a bite from a dragon. It was wrong.
Nuivian lunged into the area with the dragon and tore out his dagger, his rage building the more he had chased the damned thing. He was nearly turning red in the face. He huffed out breaths as he used his dagger to try to tear into the dragon. But it seemed to be no used. The dragon twisted and turned its body away from Nuivian with a disinterest that had Nuivian even angrier and vengeful. With one last strike, Nuivian caught the thing’s arm and tore through the hide. The Ysali released a sound of pain, and with that ascended into the sky and quickly out of Nuivian’s sight; apparently no longer playing around.
”Get back here! Damn!” Nuivian bellowed into the sky as loud as his lungs would allow. He dropped onto his butt and sat in the grass, holding his bleeding arm. It really wasn’t as bad as it looked, but he was definitely done for the day.
