 Her hooves sank in the mud as she walked. Slowly trudging through the swamp, looking towards the horizon. She hadn't been feeling herself lately. She was less energetic and a bit sick at times. Was it something she ate? Her hooves finally hit more solid ground, providing a place for her to rest. Tipping the Balance looked towards the treetops with a small smile. "Maybe I'm dying." She joked, giggling at herself. She had felt the urge to search for... Something and she wasn't quite sure what. Hopefully she would know when she found it and maybe that would put the doe's mind at ease.

A now familiar tug pulled Tastes Like Summer away from her resting spot, hidden low in a bush, curled up as a cheetah in the air warm with the summer sun. She leaped deftly from the soft swamp floor up into the depths of a mangrove tree, taking advantage of the heightened physical abilities that had been gifted to her by the MotherFather. She loped quietly through the trees, following the pulling in her gut until she was standing over the doe that had drawn her here. She heard the doe giggling to herself, joking that she might be dying. Tilting her head, Starburst dropped down from the tree, as she did, twisting into a kiokote and landing in the mud, hooves sinking in. Her voice was light, amused, "I hardly think you're dying. Rather, I think congratulations are in order."

Tilt was startled by the other. Her dark eyes widened in surprise before she gave herself a moment to relax. The Kio seemed to have changed as she jumped from its branches.Maybe she was hallucinating. She blinked in surprise at the doe's comment. "Oh... You heard that?" She giggled again, looking the strange doe over. "What is there to congratulate? That I live another day? Or maybe the worst is over!" She found this little chat so amusing already.

Starburst smiled, glowing eyes bright as she regards the doe, thoughtfully before speaking. "I wouldn't say that 'worst' would be quite how I would describe what you are experiencing and will experience."
"Rather, I think you might find that you will enjoy it." Nodding at the doe, Starburst announced casually, but very much invested internally, "You are to have children."

"Children?" Tilt quirked her head to the side as if she couldn't figure out what this meant. She was going to have.... Children? The thought slowly processed in her mind. "I'm expecting? How would you know....?" She made the connection in her head, standing up almost immediately. She hadn't been hallucinating. "M-may I ask you to bless my children?" She didn't know how this blessing business worked, but she didn't think it would hurt to ask.

"Of course," Starburst smiled, tone turning considering, but also playful, "Though I do ask that in return for a blessing, you answer a question thoughtfully and truthfully."

Tilt was extremely excited. "Oh, I could do that!" She smiled at the doe. Answering a question for a blessing seemed like a deal to her. She was just about ready to go fetch some impossible item at the Legendary's request.

Starburst wasn't the type to set difficult physical tasks, but in some cases, questions of the heart were more difficult than any physical task she could set. "Tell me, what is it that you fear the most for yourself and for you children, why?"

"My fear..." She let the thought roll around in her mind. "I'm.... Not sure..." She fell back on her rear and tried to give the doe an honest answer. Tilt looked deep into her heart. "I fear..." She began quietly, "I fear that I will lose hope. That my spirit will break and I will become weak. I fear that my children won't be strong.... I fear that they will bend and break easily. Lose their own hope and have their spirits broken." She seemed a bit shook up by this talk. "I fear this because... As much of an optimist I am, I have doubts. What if I'm not a good mother to my children?"

Starburst watched the doe think and nodded when she spoke. Listening carefully, Starburst smiled gently at the soon-to-be-mother when the doe finished speaking. "That you worry says much about how well you will do, for it tells me that you will do your best, and that is the most the MotherFather could ask of you."
"Strength is knowing when to bend, when to give, without losing sight of oneself. May your children have the strength to always know themselves and find the hope that will always be there for them."

"I'll do my absolute best!" Tilt returned the gentle smile, "Thank you so much..." She felt like some of the weight of her expecting was lifted off her shoulders. "I don't think I ever got your name!" She stood back up, her tail swaying a bit happily. "I'm Tipping the Balance. I'm sorry to have bothered you with an my request." She laughed nervously, looking at the ground. Amorpheous Sorry for taking forever with this. Gaia ate the quote. >.<

"I am Tastes Like Summer; it's a pleasure to meet you," Starburst said cheerfully. Her tail flicked from side to side and she shook her head, "It's not bother at all.""Is this your first clutch?"

Tilt nodded her head, "Yeah..." He voice was a bit quiet. "I don't even know how I should react!" She couldn't help but laugh a bit, "I guess surprised... I'm really surprised that I'm expecting..." She still hadn't come to terms that in a while she'd be giving birth. It all felt so unreal.

"These things usually are a little unexpected," Starburst said softly, laughing a little as she remembered her first clutch. "Don't worry too much. The Swamp is giving and plentiful, and you seem like you will make a great mother."

"You think so?" Tilt's faced brightened and her tail swayed a bit behind her. "I will do my best for the sake of the children. You've really put my mind at ease." She paused for a moment, mulling over something in her head. "Is there anything I can do to thank you?" She laughed a bit, "Saying it just doesn't seem like enough!"
