People would ask him if he was angry or "what's a matter?" to which he would answer, "nothing? Why?". They would just say that he looked mad. He would laugh and they would laugh with him.
On the contrary though, when someone is inside, being a friend, they see that he isn't that serious person. He still puts his job before anything else, knowing that failure is not an option, but whenever he is done with his job he smiles and laugh with other people and does things. He is still fairly immature when around people he knows and feels comfortable with his eyes usually sparkling with innocence. He can be very thoughtful and is sometimes able to come up with a clever strategy for his battles or even something as silly as a prank. He is fairly O.C.D (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder) having to do a certain "routine" every morning and every night. - Bio: Before Death On April 28th many centuries ago Santiago Hale was born unto a Spanish man who had fallen in love with an English women. The different races brought on a family feud because the English women was to marry another man. The Romeo and Juliet like family fell in love with the child and even though they didn't feel like it, they presented the child to their parents who surprisingly loved him. From then on he was given a complete family with two pairs of grandparents and aunts and uncles and so on. He led and warm and happy life, with so much love from his family. He was given the best education possible and was allowed to do anything he pleased as long as it didn't interfere with his studies. That's when he started soccer. His parents made it to as many games as possible and it always made him happy to see them there but there were a few times when they couldn't make it an he would just walk home. It was on one of those occasions that all the happiness and love couldn't protect him from what was going to happen.
Santiago was crossing the street and he texting one of his friends. He has looked up momentarily and saw that the coast appeared to be clear and continued on his path. As he took to the streets a truck came from down the street and started honking. Instead of continuing along the boy looked up and made eye contact with the vehicle before it made impact with his body. That was the last thing he remembered before he woke up in the hospital. When he awoke he looked around blinking since all he saw was white lights and nothing more. He squeezed his hands and felt warmth from them. It was his parents. The next couple of moments were filled with happiness but for some reason he started shaking and things went down hill once more. He started seizing, his body shaking violently his heart pumping faster and faster, screams echoing throughout the room and down the halls. Nurses and doctors ran in trying to calm him but nothing worked until he laid down and the heart monitor went off. His parents stood in a corner fighting the nurses who were trying to get them out. That's when he passed away.
After Death After his untimely death to unknown causes, Santiago wandered around for a couple of days, seeing the sights that were only available to him now that he was a ghost. He explored, buildings that weren't accessible to him before area's he wasn't allowed to go play at and ultimately his grave. He didn't know it was his grave though because he couldn't remember who his parents or even friends were so he watched in slight sadness for "whoever" they were. When the funeral ended he took off to a park and was playing there staying out of the way of the humans thinking they could see him, which one of them could. It was strange at first, when the little boy came up to him and asked his name. He answered him and he had a friend since his death. The boy invited him to his house and he stayed and he sort of became an imaginary friend to the boy until a shinigami came and cleansed his soul. He then went to the Rukongai districts where he found a new family to call his own.
During New "Life" After 3 attempts Santiago was finally admitted into the academy that would train future shinigami in the arts of Hakuda, Hohō, Kidō, and Zanjutsu. He was so excited yet, he was sad at the same time because it would be one of the last times for a very long time that he would get to see his family again. He knew that it was for the best however. Ever since The Great Ash War, that had ended only years before, there was an enormous need for brand new shinigami so he decided to step up to help prevent a future outbreak. He knew that he had a goal and a dedication to the shinigami that had cleansed his soul and even though he wasn't a special "one" since everyone in this world had been cleansed as well, he still wanted to help as well. This brought on a stronger sense of nervousness and sadness. Nonetheless, he shrugged it off as he stepped through the academies giant gates and into an unfamiliar world. He made friends there quickly and was having a great time. He learned many things and was somewhat good at all the things that were put in front of him to learn but he had problems in some areas, such as Hakuda. He excelled in Kidō and was pretty proficient in Zanjutsu. Since he was so small he was pretty quick and flexible which was helpful for when he was practicing with more violent people during Zanjutsu training. The only problem with that was he was immature and even his teachers could see it. They warned him and punished him on multiple occasions because of it telling him that he, or someone, could die due to his inability to be serious, but of course he ignored them because everything was going swimmingly.
Five years later, Santiago graduated from the academy and quickly tried to get into the Gotei Thirteen, but not finding place just for him for a while. He roamed around a few squads observing their jobs, seeing what kind of people they were. He knew that it was to late to join the 4th Squad since they are removed from the academy earlier to begin healing training. He also numbered out the 5th Squad due to the fact that he wanted more sword action then they used since they were closely related to the Kidō Corps. Eventually he stumbled upon the 7th squad and viewed their jobs, which was an odd one. They were very different from other squads, creating new weapons or other things that were needed. This peaked his interest and he knew that this was where he wanted to be. He submitted his application and they were more than glad to have him. Finally he had found a home for himself.
One day he was on a mission with a few other people from the squad, they were sent to get rid of a few hollows. When they arrived at the scene they met a few weak hollows and out of boredom decided to try to take them out on his own. Even though he should have been able to take them out he received a slash across his chest. It hurt but wasn't able to kill him. He returned to the squad and was scolded once more for doing something stupid and was reminded that that foolishness is what can be the winning or losing factor against enemies that threaten the peace in the future. He remembered back to the entire reason he had became a shinigami and understood what he had meant. The Original Gotei were all serious about what they did, that is why they were able to save so many even if it wasn't as many as they had wished, and the reason why he was being allowed the opportunity to represent those who passed away during that tragic time. That's when he became more serious about what he was doing, taking precautions in everything no matter how simple. With his new seriousness he eventually went up the ranks and arrived to where he is now.

He has a small body frame since he is so short and is skinny. His body is completely in proportion with every other part of his body. - Character Attire: He wears a standard hakama and a within regulation Kosode. He tends to wear a sleeve-less kosode for comfort. Whenever sent on a mission he tends to change to a full length kosode for good representation of the shinigami. He tends to wear his Zanpakutō (which can be seen in the picture or something like this) across his back with a black strap or carried in his hand. Whenever he is on earth he tends to wear different clothing to blend in with the people. - Zanpakutō Name: Dai tenshi miko (Archangel Priestess) - Zanpakutō Spirit Appearance: Upon arrival of the spirit world, you are greeted by darkness. You only know forward because you are facing it. The ability to see, feel, and hear are taken away from you. Faith in something above is something that is tested each time this realm is entered. A step of faith forward and a little blur of light can be seen, all you hear is a little fwoosh, you can start to feel the heat of the fire that has started on each side of you. As you take each step your senses are slowly regained and the path has been shown to you with the flames. They don't go out because they are the only way back out. At some point all the senses are regained but only to continue on another journey, this time up a stairway. This time the flames glow blue as each story of the steps are passed and sight is taken away once more. The reason for this is that by making it to the steps is to have faith, but to see the thing you have faith in, yet not see at the same time. That's why feeling and hearing is still granted. Eventually you can arrive the top where the spirit awaits sitting in a shrine.
A childlike priestess who is blind but is blessed with divination that makes her not need sight. She is clothed in a white kosode with a red hakama. She has brown eyes that look almost like crystals of some sort. Her brown hair appears the same, glimmering in the light of the flames in her domain. In each hand she has a different tool used in holy sessions. Each one when touch with grants an enlightenment of sorts, when going through her trials to acquire her powers, and later her full power, she touches you with each to grant you the spiritual ability to use them.
- Zanpakutō Sealed Form: A sleek black case which protects a shiny silver blade. The guardless weapon looks very long since there is no guard to show where the sword starts but the blade is still a normal length Zanpakutō.
- Shikai Status: Control is fluid but yet to be mastered. - Zanpakutō Shikai Activation Statement: “Look into the soul and show them their fate, Tenkū no fōchunterā” - Zanpakutō Shikai Name: Dai tenshi miko (Archangel Priestess) - Zanpakutō Shikai Appearance Twenty-two Tarot Cards take the place of the sword each one representing the major arcana used in actual tarot readings. Each one signifies a different fate and with each combination a new reading is made. They float around his body and are controlled with his hands. They are also still made of the metal so they are still capable of cutting or defending but against minor things like sword attacks. To get the best out of them they have to be used with the abilities below. - Battlefield Changes: The sky darkens and numerous stars cover the new sky. The cards also spread around his body evenly. - Zanpakutō Shikai Abilities
1.) Haierofanto: Kami no hogo ( Hierophant: Divine Protection) - All twenty two cards align themselves in a giant square radiating a silver glow. The light connects to each other creating a barrier that protects the user from the attack in front of him. The barrier can stay up for as long as the attack is if the attack it is defending from is of shikai level or down. Any Kido techniques above 40 can "crack" the shield and go through but in weird directions, but still capable of hitting Santiago. Kido spells below 40 simply meet the shield and vanish. Bankai attacks automatically destroy the shield due to the heightened spiritual pressure. Kido spells above 70 can go straight through the shield going along the same path it was going, there is only a slight decrease in power. While the technique is his back and sides are completely open leaving him to run, cancel the ability, or use a Bakudō of some sort to defend himself. 2.) Majishan: Hebunrī oshioki (Magician: Heavenly Punishment) - As the magician the attacks created are that of the elements. This techniques lasts two posts, one for the opening and creation of the attack, the other post for the attack and the closing. The twenty two cards separate into 4 groups of 5, the "Tower" and "Death" cards remain with Santiago. The cards align in the sky as "x"s one card in each corner and one in the middle. Each group glows a different color symbolizing the element used. The four elements go forward in a straight line towards it's target to create one giant attack. One a bright blue for the rush of water that can go so quickly that it is capable of cutting the body. Another a golden color for earth, shrapnel of rocks shoot out capable of cutting or getting stuck in the body. A white light covers the air element, as it comes out a tornado of air escapes capturing and slashing at the enemy. Finally a bright red flashes before shooting fire arrows that can burn the enemy if not pierce them for a moment bringing great pain. The tornado, water, and rock form together granting it the speed to be deadly, while the fire follows close behind using the wind left behind to increase the fires size. Even though they each have their form in the beginning, when they reach the target they all come together when they hit the target. Whenever the four techniques are finished they return to Santiago having to start over the process if he wanted to continue the attacks. While he is using the technique he is free to move around, only having the two cards with him which he can still use as weapons. The technique can be avoided since it just a blast of the elements or it can be blocked, and has to be touched, by an elemental shikai that corresponds with that element, but they will still be damaged by the other three or two depending on if there is a dual weapon. 3.) Hāmitto: Tentai keimō (Hermit: Celestial Enlightenment) - This technique is a status-effect like attack that increases the speed, attack, and defense about 25% for five posts. This technique is used. It can be used alone or on allies if they took the hermit card before the five posts are up. The card glows a bright green and touching it give the status boost. The cards that is glowing stays in front of him while he moves around doing whatever. He can stop and let someone touch the card and gain an increase as well but only once per time the technique is used. He can't keep touching it after every post and increasing the time period because it would eventually destroy his body. 4.) Jasutisu: Hōrībureido (Justice: Holy Blade) - This is his last technique and with it is his strongest attack. The cards even though they are already sharp gain an extra sharpness to them. They start rotating around his body before he sends them all forward as they spin horizontally gaining speed. When they hit their target they just go through if it hits an edge or if it pierces an enemy it rotates one time fully before stopping and pulling out and going back to Santiago. The entire time of this depends on how long it takes to make a contact point. It can be blocked with other objects and or Zanpakutō. An attack in shikai form can stop it as well as a bankai attack. Hadō's #1 through #30 can't stop it but after that they can. They can also be used to cut through Bakudō 4. Crawling Rope (這縄, hainawa) and 9. Hōrin (Disintegrating Circle)

- Zanpakutō Bankai Name: Tengoku no tenshi miko (Heaven's Archangel Priestess) - Zanpakutō Bankai Appearance: They remain the same as shikai the only difference is that they gain a glow showing their holy power. - Bankai Battlefield Changes: Everything reverts back to normal if in shikai, which changes the sky into a starry night sky, or leaves it the same if he uses Bankai by itself. - Zanpakutō Bankai Abilities The Bankai is still capable of using the Shikai abilities that have gained a 50% increase in power. They gain access to more powerful techniques though.
1.) Higeki-tekina unmei! Tawā: Fainaru zen'nō no hanketsu (Tragic Fate! Tower: The Final Almighty Judgement) - This is one of the ulitmate tecniques that can be done with his bankai. It can be used as a way to obliterate his opponent or put them through immense pain. A fake copy of the "Tower" card is sent forward after saying the name of the technique and it goes until it attaches on a person. This card begins to glow a black color resonates from the card calling forth a storm cloud to form in the sky. The cloud is a pitch black, like the darkest depths of the sea, and in it resides the attack. The cloud makes a "BOOM!" as thunder roars as lightning flashes through the sky to impale the body the card is located on. Soon after fire joins, flame balls soaring through the air as if they were catapulted, heading to burn the target. Lastly ice finishes the triad of elements, icicles as sharp swords fall straight down onto the target, gravity giving it the speed necessary to pierce through the body. This techniques lasts five posts, two for the cloud to form and one for each of the elements until the leave on the fifth and final one. If the card is destroyed before the technique begins the cloud will simply explode due to the stored of energy, but if the card is destroyed after or during the third post the technique will go haywire and shoot everywhere so it has a big draw back if used without binding the opponent down first or where there are large crowds of people. Bankai's can fight out most of it anything weaker than a Bankai is almost like a sitting duck. Bakudō above 75 can block out the storm while Hadō 80 and above can blow apart the cloud causing the side effects of stopping after the third post to be destroyed. If the cloud can be blown away the technique can also be stopped. Once the technique has begun, Santiago can't do anything to stop it. 2.) Higeki-tekina unmei! Shi: Serafikku hakai (Tragic Fate! Death: Seraphic Destruction) - This is one of the ultimate techniques that can be done with his bankai. It can be used as a way to obliterate his opponent or put them through immense pain. A fake copy of the "Death" card is sent forward after saying the name of the technique and it goes until it attaches itself to something with spirit energy, be it a person or a Kido or something of the like. A single white blooms out of the card and slowly drains out the energy from it. The rose can stay on for as long as ten posts and only takes about a quarter of the enemies spirit energy if left alone. The card can always be destroyed by any number of physical ways. It can be cut or burnt if using an actual flame that comes from nature, along with water. If a Shikai or Bakai flame or element is used, it can absorb it since it is made of spirit energy. The card can also get stuck to an attack that is pure condensed spirit energy like a Cero or Kidō and absorb some of it's power but the attack goes so quickly it won't absorb much. The energy that is absorb simply disappears whenever the card is destroyed or the technique is complete depending on which occurs first.
- Zanpakutō Bankai Time Able to Hold: Santiago can't hold the Bankai at all. Even if he tries to he gets sent flying back with a rush of spiritual energy from trying. - Achieved? No

Kido
- Bakudō: 1. Restrain (塞, sai) -Locks a target's arms in place behind their back.
4. Crawling Rope (這縄, hainawa) -An energy rope entangles a target's arms.
8. Repulse (斥, seki) -Creates a round shield that seems to temporarily paralyse and repel whatever strikes it
9. Strike (撃, geki) -Engulfs a target in red light, completely paralysing them. Incantation: Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat!
9. Hōrin (Disintegrating Circle) -Causes an orange hued tendril with spiralling yellow patterns to erupt from the users hand and attempt to trap a target. The end of it remains in the hands of the user allowing them to control the path of the tendril before and after capture. The Kidō is able to connect with another one of itself if both have captured a target and bind them together.
Incantation: "Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini!! Look upon yourself with horror and tear out your own throat!"
21. Red Smoke Escape (赤煙遁, sekienton) -Creates a blast upon activation and is used like a ninja's smoke bomb.
26. Curving Light (曲光, kyakko) -Hides the target from sight, presumably by bending light.
30. Beak-Stab Triple Beam (嘴突三閃, Shitotsu Sansen) - Shoots three beams of light that pin the target to one place on a surface, slamming into his/her body in three places in a shape of a perfect triangle.
37. Suspending Star (吊星, tsuriboshi) -Creates a star-shaped cushion of Spiritual Energy, which anchors it to nearby objects with "ropes" of spirit particles. It can stop falling objects, acting like a safety net.
39. Arc Shield (円閘扇, enkosen) -Summons a shield of energy to block opponents' attacks.
- Hadō: 1. Thrust (衝, shō) -Pushes the target away from the caster.
4. White Lightning (白雷, byakurai) -Fires a concentrated bolt of white lightning from the caster's forefinger.
11. Bound Lightning (製本雷, tsuzuri raiden) -Electric current flows through any object the user touches and is able to lead electricity, damaging any target that is in contact with the object the current runs through.
12. Fushibi: -A net formed from an attachment point on the caster, can be small or large depending on the reiatsu force behind it.
31. Shakkahō (赤火砲, , Red Flame Cannon) -Fires a ball of red fire at a target.

32. Ōkasen (黄火閃, Yellow Fire Flash) - The practitioner, raising their Zanpakutō horizontally in front of them, generates a yellow orb which widens itself along the length of their sword. Once it is fully charged, it fires outward as a horizontal blast, in a wide arc of yellow energy, at the target. This technique can be launched from the hand instead of a Zanpakutō, albeit producing a shorter arc.
33. Blue Fire, Crash Down (蒼火墜, sōkatsui, Pale Fire Crash in the English dub) -Fires a column of blue fire at a target in a similar manner to 31, but over a wider area and with more power.

So, in general, good work and thanks for applying! Here's what needs to be cleared up:
Biography details missing
Your bio is lacking mention of developing some sort of interest for blacksmith worm which is the primary function of Squad Seven. I suggest adding that seeing as how you're going to be Lieutenant of the Squadron. Also, taking in the fact that your character is 400+ years, I need mention of the Great Ash War. How was he affected? Gotta be chronically correct.
Shikai + Bankai
I like the concept quite a bit, but some things need reworded for better understanding. 2.) Majishan: Hebunrī oshioki: Reword this so I can understand it better.
For Bankai, a post count would be lovely for the first ability. Does he have a time constrain when using the first ability? What are those ability's weaknesses?
