That first attempt had ended in disaster. The party and himself had fallen into a deep chasm, only to wake back up at the school. To add insult to injury, Shun eventually found out that he had been given the wrong information for where the artifact was. A part of him had to wonder what ring that was they saw in the sunken cave, but that was besides the point. He began to dig around, getting better sources for where the blasted thing was.

He wouldn't be too surprised if his father had fed him the bad information on purpose just to mess with him.

A new map had been uploaded to his phone, and it was almost time to embark once more. While it was somewhere else, he figured that this new location would have perils of its own.

Before embarking, he stood outside, giving Xiu a call. He had thought of calling Hel again, but he figured she may have her own things she needed to take care of.



Hanging up, he switched the view of his phone back to the map. He studied it a little longer before turning his attention to the lycan that stood out there with him.

"Are you ready, Mitsu?"

Mitsu seemed a little unsure of this...quest considering how the last one had gone but Shun seemed determined. Gazing at her reaper's phone Mitsu just nodded slight, signing out a few words as Danny arrived.

'Suppose so.." At least her hands didn't hold the same uncertainty that her voice would have. Maybe things would go better this time. Shun had done a lot more research this time around.

Maybe Freya had been stalking Danny. Maybe. She didn't need a reason for it, but when Danny glomped Shun, she had no reason to continue stalking either. In fact, there were much better things to do. Like wrap her arms around Mitsu and never ever ever let go.

"Mitsuuuuu I missed yeeeeeeh so muuuchhh." She purred, burying her head into the ghoul's shoulder from behind. "I feels like I haven't seens yeh in a million years." That was her fault, of course - penning herself up in a room with Kettil so much had made it so she hadn't seen much of anyone, lately. But Mitsu was special. heart

Oh, and Shun was there too. Hi Shun.

At Xiu's arrival Mitsu's tail began to sway slightly, smiling at the baku in greeting. It had been a long while since she had seen her friend, though it had been a long while since she had seen any of her friends. Maybe this would be an opportunity to catch up a little in between gathering this ring that Shun needed to find. At least if time allowed.

Eyes following Danny for the moment Mitsu's attention was on those present until a voice rang out calling her name. Instantly her ears perked and she tilted her head back and to the side toward Freya as she buried her face in her shoulder. It had been an extremely long time since she had seen the Valkyrie and she smiled brightly at the ghoul leaning in to nuzzle her cheek against the ghoul's in a sign of affection. heart

As she straightened up Mitsu turned to Shun finding his reaction to the new arrivals rather strange. Had he not asked them here?

Oh well, if he hadn't the more in their group the better. Hopefully it would avoid the problems that Shun had experienced the last time around. ...Hopefully.

With Shun's instructions laid out Mitsu decided to ask what she found to be an important question, "It's not high up is it?" Yes, it was a very important question.

My my, this was quite the group that had gathered! She lifted a hand to wave at Freya in greeting before turning her full attention to Shun, ears perking up slightly as he explained the situation. The Masamune Ring, hmm? "Sounds like it'll be quite the adventure, but I'm definitely up for it."


Xiu's gaze flickered to Danny when the fire demoness spoke, the corners of her lips curling upwards into a smile. Standing up a little straighter, the baku gave her gloves a little tug before beaming up at her big brother. "I'm definitely not scared either, so ready when you guys are!"

Shun stared at Danny.

"More like master of alerting everyone around you," he said flatly, "Would you feel the same if this was another jacking submerged temple?"

He shook his head.

"Thankfully, that is not the case, however. Nor is it high up. ...At least I don't think it is. There might be high areas within the temple I suppose.." he murmured. Looking over the two 'intruding' in on his raiding party again, he just let out a sigh.

"If you're all ready, let's go. Ideally, we will not be dying some more."

They walked for a total of maybe fifteen minutes before they came upon a sort of door. Danny and Freya would have recognized it from their last time. Muttering some words under his breath, he went on and opened the door. Peeking through, he let out a sigh of relief and went on and walked through, motioning to the other four to follow him.

The area on the other side of the portal was fairly dark. The foliage seemed to have been replaced with bamboo, and they were now on a sort of cobble path. Every now and then, a small wisp of blue fire would appear, then vanish around the the area. It was fairly quiet, but the sound of a raven could be heard calling out every so often. Ahead, was a broken down building at the top of a few stairs. As they approach, the state of the ruins was more apparent.

Carefully, Shun made his way up the steps, watching where he was walking to not trip over the rubble. He furrowed his brow as he stopped by the entrance, which was blocked off by a large chunk of debris in the way.

Well, it looked like their little group of five was ready to go! A flicker alarm passed over the ghoul's face at the words "dying some more", but then she shook it off with an inaudible sigh. Well, what did she expect? It wouldn't be an adventure without a little danger, after all.

She followed after the reaper as they departed, looking rather relaxed up until the point they arrived at the door. Ears twitching slightly, she turned to look at Shun at as she caught a hint of a mutter, immediately becoming wary. So this was the place, huh? Looked...foreboding, to say the least.

Xiu remained silent as they ascended the steps, vaguely unnerved by her surroundings. When they reached the rubble, the baku frowned and leaned forward, eying it scruntinizingly before turning to face the group with a questioning look. What now?

Danny didn't have a witty response for Shun's comment about it being underwater. All she had was a punch for his arm.

Bobbing along behind Shun and the others, Danny didn't think much of the trip. She didn't think much of anything at all. Mostly just mindless blabbering and demanding that Shun play his guitar to ease the trip.

Luckily a portal opened up before them and captured her attentions for all of three seconds. Then she went right back to talking about the guitar.

A bush rustled. So Danny threw a fireball at it. The logical thing to do of course.
