Isi looked up as Kyrie placed her hand on his arm. He could just make her out as his eyes adjusted to the lack of light. Scim barked, and Isi heard him pad over towards them. At least they were all safe. They seemed to be in some kind of hallway, he could see it now, stretching off to a doorway at the end, it was empty and plain, there were other doors too, the question was, how on earth were they going to get out? It was too far up to get out and Kyrie couldn’t fly them out. “Maybe if we shout someone will be able to hear us?”

Kyrie looked around at the darkness that surrounded them and shifted to link her arm with Isi's. Leaning into him, she breathed in the stale air, then looked up toward their only known escape. "I don't know Isi," she said softly. "We're far down and Momma and Kleo are in that library thing. They were far inside it. But we could try?" she offered with a small shrug as she lowered her head and looked at him in the dim light from above.

Isidore thought about that for a moment. She was right, they had wandered a bit away from the library. The only being who would hear them would be Anwar and he couldn’t help them. It was time for an executive decision, Isidore glanced around his little mind working hard. “There are some doors here, we can try them and find out if there is a way out.” He declared, pushing himself to his feet. There would have been a way out once and I can’t see any stairs in here so i don’t think that this is it.” He smiled at his sister.

Kyrie looked down the length of the hall and nodded. "Yes. I think we need to try. I don't want to be stuck down here forever," she declared with a certainty she really did not feel. As she pushed herself up to her feet she felt her stomach doing twisty knots. She really, really hoped they found their way out of this place. "You don't think there are scary things down here?" she asked as she took a timid step towards the doors. She really hoped there would not be anything scary, but you never did know when it came to old and dark places like these.

Isidore was not scared at all, it was cool down there and though it was dark, it was just a room. He did not think there would be anything scary behind the doors, and if there was he would deal with that when they came to it. They had Scim to help protect them. He took Scim off the leash and took a decisive step towards the closest door. “Let’s try this one first. It’s not scary Ky, I don’t feel it’s scary at all.” He thought that he might, they were gods, surely something would feel off if there was something wrong.

Kyrie looked to her brother as he bravely stepped towards the doors and reassured her. Following after him, she grabbed a light hold of the back of his shirt. She felt marginally better knowing that he was not afraid. "Yeah. Okay. You're right Is," she said softly, though her stomach was still doing twisty knots. She was really starting to feel claustrophobic in the stale air. "What do you think this place was once?"

Isi did not understand his sister's fear, how could he? He was not a goddess of birds, used to being in the open air. He was of the Underworld, the god of funeral with links to burial and tombs. He felt right at home. "I don't know. Maybe it was someone's house?" He suggested stepping into the room, it was even darker in there. He wished they could do something about the light. Scims eyes glowed red in the darkness as he sniffed around. "We need some light somehow. I wish we could be like Hakim."

Kyrie followed him into the dark room and tried to look around. It was all just pitch black. For all they knew, there was a wall right in front of them or a big, very open room. "Me too. We'd be able to clap our hands and there would be light," she said softly as she glanced around the darkness. "Maybe if we think really, really hard we can make it happen?" she suggested and turned towards the side of the door. Stepping away from her brother, she reached up and she thought she touched something that might be a torch. "You want to try first? Or maybe we should do it together?"

Isidore thought about it for a moment, he didn't think that would work. He had never seen his parents be able to make light happen so he doubted that they could, still, just maybe he might have an idea. "Oh, lemme look in my bag." He grinned a little and started to rummage in the dark. He found all sorts of things when he was wandering around. "I found this in the market. It makes fire." His small hand found it and he pulled out the rectangular metal object. "Watch." He flipped the lid open and a small flame appeared. "It's not very good though."

Kyrie turned as the little flame came to life. Clapping her hands happily, she turned back to the object she had been feeling before he made the flame appear. Reaching up on her tippy toes, she struggled a bit, but managed to knock it loose and it fell to the ground. Searching blindly a moment, she found it on the floor and stood to walk over to him. "Maybe you can light this?" she suggested and brought it close to the flame. It was, in fact, a torch and she felt a little bit of excitement that she had managed to find something useful.

Isi looked at the torch and brought the lighter towards it, at first nothing happened, then suddenly it started to take. Isi stepped back and looked around the space that the light revealed. "There might be other torches, we should light them all." He decided. In the dim light they had he could already see some statues, they seemed to be made out of stone and they looked like people.

Kyrie watched the flames slowly come to life and then glanced to the walls. "Okay," she agreed and slowly walked back to where she had found her torch. Examining the entrance revealed another torch on the opposite side. Reaching up, she knocked the new torch down and picked it up. "Here Isi," she declared as she put the unlit torch to hers and watched it catch.

Isi watched as she lit the torches and turned back to the room. More was being revealed. It was filled with statues, some small, some larger. They all had dark skin and white, clothing, some had simple clothes, some more elaborate. There were people carrying plates with food and goods, some wore lots of jewelry. "Wow, look at them all." Isi said with a smile. "I wonder who they are?"

Kyrie walked over to hand Isi one of the torches and then moved closer to the statues. Her fear of being enclosed was forgotten as her curiosity was piqued. "I wonder why they are all down here," she mused as she admired one with a lot of jewelry. "This one sort of looks like Hakim with all the stuff in his ear. Do you think they might be kings and queens?"

Isidore nodded in agreement and walked closer to some of them, they were interesting, and so lifelike. "I don't think so. They seem like servents to me. Look, they are all carrying things." He took the torch and held it over the people to light them up. "Maybe they're someone's treasure?" He suggested. "Maybe this was a temple or something like that." Though as he spoke he had the feeling that this was something connected to him in some way. He couldn't put his finger on why he felt that way, he just did."
