Feel free to post a little bit about yourself to help others get to know you! Might even make friends! smile

I'm Pie, also known as Tal.
I'm 23.
I mainly draw using a cintiq, but on occasion I sketch on paper.
I work in the games industry
I went to school for Game Development.
My favorite type of art is realistic, and somewhat stylized pin ups as well as macabre art. Stuff that is both aesthetically pleasing and well done.
I am not a fan of chibi art. A decent amount of anime art bothers me.
This is my DeviantArt.
Mostly all of my recent work is either done in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Flash or Autodesk Maya.

hey hi hello um!!
i am anika, i am sixteen and going to be a junior in high school this fall!
i would love to be some sort of artist. gonna have to pick schools next year, sooooo. working on it, haha.
i love cartoony styles in general. i'm pretty picky about realistic -- it's hard to explain. it has to be stylized in a certain way, i guess. sweatdrop some of my favorite artists are jen zee, justin hillgrove, julian callos... so i guess if you check them out, you can see what kind of stuff i'm super super into.
my dA is right over here! i mostly work in cs5 or 6, and sai.

Welcome to the guild! I just creeped at your dA. Not bad. ^^

What is sai? I've never used it myself.

Hello,

I'm Counting Dracula, too long of a name for you? Just call me Harry. smile

I'm just going to list information about myself because I find that easier. razz

Age: 18
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Gay
British
Religion: Iffy, I kind of believe what I believe, and it doesn't fall into a genre of religion, but I wouldn't say I'm an Atheist.
Currently a college student studying Level 3 BTEC Software (2nd year starting soon.)
Aspires to be a decent software developer and/or website designer/developer.

I like all art, really.
It shows how the person expresses themselves, and the more of a story behind the art the more I like it. Or if it has a meaning.

I'm a very nooby artist, although I've been drawing on and off for years now I still struggle with headshots (OTL). I'm a very impatient person and get frustrated easily.

I used Paint Tool SAI to draw because my photoshop doesn't like my tablet and makes it only draw straight lines. sad

I'm also a nice person, but slightly (very) anti-social IRL.

Thats about it. XD

painttool sai! i know it costs money, but i'm a terrible person and i found a free download of it. it's great for softer coloring stuff, because all the blend settings are pretty automatic. (never got the hang of it on ps.)

My name is Daniela. Known as Danni. And I'd rather you call me that, please.
I'm 14, just turned on the 28th of June.
I'm currently on my summer vacation, I'm heading to grade 9 a little earlier in August.
I enjoy realistic art but as much as I love it, I am in LOVE with semi-realism. It's my thing I guess.
I'm still an early artist, I draw MUCH better on paper. And I DO NOT have a tablet.
My boyfriend is AMAZING (He told me to.)

I'm training to be a video game developer, working on it as much as possible. I write a lot, and I love to read. I'm into all kinds of things. So don't be afraid to ask!
I've recently been working on my Fanfic of Doctor Who on Wattpad. If you'd like the link, ask.
I use to have a dA account but never bothered to keep the password in mind.
I spend my days either drawing on the computer (mouse over) or talking to my boyfriend on Skype.
I do not brag about things, I don't find myself perfect. I certainly do not look for attention and I ACCEPT a compliment when I'm given one. (Unless it's my boyfriend, because we argue who is *prettier* and shtuff.)
I'm not always right, so please correct me!
I'm REALLY dirty minded. (Please don't judge!)
I'm bisexual, but I don't like everyone!
I'm a normal human being with feelings.
I find myself attractive towards Doctor Who.
Especially David Tennant.
And his nickname "David Ten-Ich" is not bad either.
Please tell me if I annoy you. <3

Oh neat! I think I'll check it out. I personally use free versions of most programs myself... sweatdrop

Welcome!! smile
What kind of tablet are you using? Did you install the drivers correctly? Not sure why it would only be doing straight lines.

I am with you in the anti-social in RL.

What kind of stuff are you interested in doing, game development wise? Myself, I'm a 3d modeller/texture artist and work in the industry. If you ever want some pointers or tips, feel free to ask! biggrin

I use a Lapazz tablet. (If you haven't heard of it I honestly don't blame you...)
Very cheap tablet, but it does the job.
Since it's old I just think it's partially just not compatible with photoshop.
I've installed the drivers that came with it, but I haven't really installed any since, I searched for lapazz drivers a while back and I think I yielded hardly any results.

It's a poopy bug and many people have it, but all the 'solutions' i've tried don't work. Which is a shame because I do love photoshop.

I'm very interested in 3D modelling as well. I have set a goal in my life that ONE day I will get to the point where my art is going to be as great as the art they have in video games in this generation! More like The Last of Us or The Walking Dead.

Say, what do you think about that?

I've been told, and I do believe (not to brag), that I am VERY or somewhat good at realistic drawing. (On paper.) If you'd like I can show you a little example or two.

I have the program blender and I am currently learning how to work on it right now. Though life continues to hit me in the face at times and I keep falling over, clumsy aren't I?

Oh that is a pain. I've never used one of those myself. That's a real shame that none of the solutions worked. I generally stick to wacom products as I've yet to have an issue with one.

There are a lot of other programs luckily! biggrin
Photoshop is kind of a pain to sketch in anyways.

Hi there c:

I'm Meri
I am older than 19 [age is rather unimportant to me]
I am very openminded to new things and I love to hear suggestions about how I can improve myself as a person and just all around!
I am British
I have two adorable kitties that think somehow they are human princesses xD
I use sketchbook Pro to draw because I am poor as dirt ;-; [yaaaay uni life!]

Some things I absolutely dislike are:
1. Fakes
2. Those who are blatantly rude to others just to get a negative reaction
3. Crabby people who change their refs or orders on me at the last minute and get snobby when I tell them it is too late for me to make the changes. [I would be more likely to happily redo the art for someone who asks kindly instead of treating me like a bloody idiot emotion_omnomnom ].... rant over
4. Almonds. If you are an almond I am sorry but stay away from me. I will die if you come near me c: [I really don't want to die D:]

That is really all i can come up with at the moment! c:
If there is anything else you would like to know that you can't find here let that be the incentive you need to come and talk to me [I only bite if you are food and I am not a cannibal]!! C:

Also: I am looking to employ artists for art of my Avi/ OC

It's great to have such goals! I want to become an amazing modeller and work on some AAA titles, but the competition is fierce. Have to be amazing to get anywhere in the industry.

I'd love to see some examples! If you want, you could post in the gallery sub-forum and make a little gallery for yourself.

I don't really suggest using blender. If you're wanting to get serious into modelling, I would suggest using either Autodesk Maya or Autodesk 3DsMax. They're really complex, but they're great once you learn to use them.
