Kadryn and Kirosh were on their way to the ferry to leave Aiskp. Kirosh had been teasing her the last few hours about her and her traveling habits. He’d let her try to lead them back to the ferry to see how she did... Kadryn being Kadryn, had gotten lost. Kirosh had been taking a nap during this time as he rode his Aiskalan Hastar while she tried to find her way. When Kirosh had woken up, he’d looked about and started laughing. Kadryn had blushed, her pale blue cheeks darkening to a purple at his reaction. So she had trouble getting her directions right! Eventually she’d pushed him off his hastar into the snow. He still chuckled from where he lay in the snow. His hastar bent its head and nibbled on his Mohawk.

“Can’t believe you got lost so easily!” He chortled and sat up only to receive a snow ball in the face. Kadryn was still embarrassed, but she wasn’t about to let him get away with mocking her.

“Keep laughing and I’ll make you eat more snow! There’s nothing wrong with getting lost, everybody does it!” She was smiling as she said it though; Kirosh’s open laugh was infectious. He snorted with amusement and reached behind him to gather up his own snowball.

“Oh? Well, I do recall saying keep the cliffs to your left… how come their behind us now? That takes skill and practice in the art of Getting Lost.” He whipped his snowball at her and Kadryn laughed as she ducked and through another snowball at him. The hastars snorted and moved away a bit to escape the snow ball fight as Kadryn and Kirosh dueled with snow balls and teased each other in the fading light. Finally Kadryn admitted defeat; she’d never had very much skill in ranged attacks.

Kirosh gave her a big grin and flung an arm about her shoulders, “Never challenge archers to a snow ball duel! It's a hopeless battle! But in all seriousness, how’d we end up here?” He smiled at her as he brought the conversation back to its original topic. Kadryn’s heart was betraying her again, skipping a beat and speeding up slightly at his nearness.

“Dunno. I’ve always gotten lost if I don’t know the area too well... guess I can’t remember landmarks at all unless I see them all the time.” She looked up at him and grinned, “One time I tried flying to Ayr and ended up at Eowyn!” Kirosh laughed as they walked back to the Hastars, he was about to say more but then he suddenly tensed and pulled his bow off his shoulder.

“Dragons.” Was all he said; Kadryn unfurled her wings and grabbed her mace, a feral smile stretching her lips as her blood began to burn.

Two Aiskalan Dragons were circling them. Kadryn chuckled and stepped away from Kirosh before leaping into the air and flying up to meet them. Kirosh was an archer; Kadryn knew he’d be able to help out in the fight just fine from the ground if she fought in the air. Two arrows went screeching upwards as she flew up. They impacted and small flames flared briefly. Kadryn was impressed; Kirosh had some neat toys to play with!
She crashed into the lower dragon, her mace smashing upwards into its neck, gouging out huge chunks of scale and meat with its long spikes. It gurgled, the ice spell it was about to cast broken by pain. She heard more arrows whistling by and swooped about till she landed on the thrashing suffocating dragons back. She ducked a spell from the other dragon and crashed her mace down onto the dying Dragons skull, ending its agony in a bloody crunch. She then leapt from the dragons back as it disintegrated and left two orbs to fall to the ground. With a wild yell, she swung her mace in an overhead smash as she collided with the other dragon, peppered with arrows and mostly dead already. Her mace hit the wounded dragon’s jaw with a sickening crunch just as Kirosh’s arrow found its eye. She managed to grab the orbs that appeared as the dragon died and disappeared. Grinning she fluttered down with the orbs.
“Two for you, two for me! You make good back up Kirosh.”
