Shivering Kioda strutted along the sand dunes. Keeping mental tabs where a the young hybrid she had been following since the large bloodshed had occurred. She so resembled the tiny infant she had seen so many years back. Leaping like she had in her Keinling stage Kioda jumped over another mound of sand. Enjoying the feeling of kicking up sand as she went. She had separated from her hunting companions long enough to stash away her orbs. Not completely satisfied with the haul she had received. Stopping to sniff the air Kioda grinned. She was very close to the house she had been observing.
Rounding another dune the hybrids house came into view. Dropping to her belly Kioda's eyes settled on both the hybrid and the strange two legged that seemed to stick with her lately. Her teal eyes settled on the scene. The day was early morning lacking most of Eowyn's heat. She watched as they embraced and their heads seemed to connect for the briefest moment before the Oblivionite moved away from the house. Leaving the small pink and blue haired girl behind.
Licking her muzzle Kioda rumbled, this was the perfect time for her to round on the hybrid. Find out who she was. Everything about her. Glinting with idea's of how to entrap the mixed girl Kioda ducked around a sand dune. Being careful to avoid any visible contact from the darker one. Or its bonded. She snarled as her eyes watched the bonded. How could one of her own kind be so in love with something like that!? It only did more to remind her of the poor mutilated Ayrala she had tried to return to normal.
Waiting until the dark two legger passed Kioda beamed with excitement. With the stronger one out of the way the female was an easy target! Kicking up dust Kioda moved towards the house. Watching the female intently her tongue lapping up at her muzzle.

Erionda's arms wrapped around her body. It pained her to see him leaving, to see his back walking from the house. Her fingers ran over the soft skin of her lips. He had left them tingling as he kissed her before he turned to leave. She sighed as she watched his back until his form disappeared from view. Leaning against the doorway with her head against the wood, Erionda's hair blew around her face. She wondered how long it would be before she would be able to see him again. Watching him leave was harder than offering him the spare room to stay in while he trained on Eowyn. Her mismatched eyes shifted as a bright green creature appeared from behind Kilian.
Squinting to get a better look the hybrid froze. Was that? A Ysali Drakein? What was something like that doing all the way out here? Away from Serenia or Soudul? Her heart shattered as she looked to where Kilian had disappeared. Had it taken out Kilian? Grinding her teeth with irritation Erionda burst from the house leaving her sword behind on the kitchen table. "You better not have hurt him!" Rio shouted her eyes blazing as she moved to meet the Ysali.

Kioda dug her claws deep into the sand. Back flapping to stop her body from colliding with the girl. What did she mean, hurt him? She snapped her head in the dark legger's direction before looking back to the hybrid. Did she mean that silly male that had just left? Why would she have even bothered attacking that thing. It was obviously stronger than her. Bonded with him and all. Leaping to the side Kioda pulled her wings tight against her body.
"What do you mean, that thing?" She used her right wing to point in the direction Kilian had disappeared. "Please, I don't need to sully my claws with blood from the two leggers like you unless you try to steal my orbs..." Tilting her head her eyes wandered over Erionda her eyes were a different color than the baby she had seen. Well one of her eyes anyway. Perhaps she had been to preoccupied to notice the mismatched color before now? "Or you attack first." Kioda lowered her head and pulled back her lips to show she was serious.

Punching forward with a quick movement Rio was surprised the Ysali could dodge her so easily. It had to be a stronger one than the ones she had seen and faced in the past. Wild for sure, with the way it spoke Erionda searched the Drakein for any signs of blood. It wouldn't have had time to clean itself off quick enough to have actually killed the Oblivionite. Erionda narrowed her eyes as she regarded the Drakein before her. "Then what are you doing here? I'm not an egg thief! And I didn't kill your nest, attack you or really do anything!"
Sticking one leg out to the side, Erionda crossed her arms over her chest. Defiantly daring the Drakein to make a move, to attack or prove her wrong. It was highly unlikely she could be confused with anyone. Being a mixed racial being no one had her features. And a Dovaa would never stoop low enough to impersonate her. So what could the Drakein really be up to. Tapping her foot in the ground Erionda extended her hand out palm up as if receiving a gift. "Well c'mon spit it out."

"Spit it out? I've nothting to spit out." Sticking her nose into the air, Kioda regarded the house in the background. "Where's you're parents little one. I haven't seem them around you. And I am mighty curious to see if they are the same two I think they are." Turning to lower her head she moved her snout towards Erionda and sniffed. "You do smell like that one."
Kioda pondered for a moment as she moved around Erionda in a circle. "Unless they're dead." Her eyes shifted into narrowed slits watching the hybrids every move. "If that's the case I'll explain them from memory." Closing her eyes Kioda continued a swift momentum around the Aiskala hybrid. "The father. Tall and a Dovaa. Deep brown hair and ice blue eyes. White horns and pale skin but darker than yours. The mother, she carried a swift silent bundle in her arms. A bundle with pink hair. Mother had pink hair too. and Blue eyes. She sang the most lovely tune."
Tilting her head side to side Kioda started the tune, her outer eyelids rolled back to regard the hybrid. If anything it was likely the mother had imprinted the song upon her child. If that was so, this hybrid was likely to react. Even in a small way. If not, then she had no further interest in her.

The reminder of her parents was a like a sharp stab of pain to her mind, heart, and body. She could feel the tears tickling her cheeks, what did this Drakien know of her parents? How could she describe her beloved mother and father in such detail? Erionda wrapped her arms to hold back the flow of pain as it spread through her. Memories of both parents, it was if having Kioda describe them was all she needed to send her mind back into the past. She could remember her father's embrace her fathers voice. The way he was hard on her when she had done something wrong, and the way he was so gentle when she had done things right. She remembered her father and mothers smell as if they had only been separated yesterday.
Erionda's eyes defensively followed the Drakein as it moved around her in a circle. She had no interest in showing she was going to be friendly towards this creature. It was taunting her, getting inside her mind. Her knees grew weak under her body as she collapsed to the ground at the sound of her mothers lullaby. Sobs racked her body, shaking her shoulders. She missed her mother, with every fibre of her being. Hated the way she had died. Her voice joining in with the words to the melody. Her body rocking from side to side as she tried to focus on the song her voice wavered with her sobs.

Kioda lowered the volume of the tune as she watched the hybrid. Yes, this was the young child she had seen in her mothers arms. That was before she had learned about the blood thirsty birds true nature. This one seemed different than most. She did attack at first, but no real damage had been done. And her attacks were based on the assumption that she had attacked the hybrids mate. Kioda rumbled she could understand that, the girls parents had been protective of each other when she had seen them. It stood to reason their hatchling would as well.
Shifting back onto her haunches Kioda rumbled the end of the song. Pleased the young woman had joined in with the melody. "You're that infant..." Blinking she lowered to her belly. Trying to prove she meant no harm to Erionda. "I met your parents. Well, I saw your parents. They were brilliant! The first time I had ever seen more than one at the same time. So in love, even I could tell that! And you, the mother loved you so much in her arms. You could tell..." Kioda's tone changed as she continued. "They were being chased. By Orderites... They did THIS to me!" Kioda spread her wings wide with a sneer. Turning so the scratches on her muzzle were viable.
"All because I distracted them as your parents fled. They must not have known I was there. To busy trying to get away from the blood thirst birds."
