She knew the local plants at least. Fawn was rich with knowledge of plants, a thing she had picked up from her mother long ago. Long before she vanished. She strongly believed everyone need to know something about herbs and mushrooms and such. It could save your life! And, to be honest, it had saved hers before.
So maybe she did like the idea of living in the forest. Plenty of food, plenty of things to patch yourself up with. Though, it did come with its own dangers. Predators. Places for skinwalkers to hide. Ugh. Skinwalkers. A shiver rushed down her spine at the thought, horror striking her first. No. She mustn't think about that. She needed to be level-headed. How likely was it to stumble upon one of them, anyway? How likely was she going to meet one and have to face it in battle?
Highly unlikely.
She hoped.
Still, the new thought now lingered in the back of her mind and lurked. Her eyes began to flick about in worry. There was the rare "what if". Who knew.... maybe she could end up ones dinner tonight. She didn't know! Maybe the forest wasn't such a great idea....either.
