Semi-Main Event! Have fun!

Lucid Truth by Blackmill starts to roar in the crowd as the hooded figure who refuses to not get known by the fans comes out. There are many boos throughout the crowd even in the newer man's days. He made no crazy gestures, he did nothing that would showboat or looking anything more than him walking down to the ring. It was a very dull entrance and he made no attempt to pander to anyone. The Gallant didn't get to compete in a match last week, but this week would be a new deal.

The Gallant walked up the stairs and entered the ring through the middle ropes before he went straight to the corner where he would squat and wait for his opponent, Brody Robinson.

A low rumble of thunder cut through the arena's sound system, before being quickly followed up by the drum beat and soulful vocalizations of The Heavy's 'Short Change Hero'. At the same time, Brody Robinson stepped out onto the stage, head bobbing to the rhythm of his intro theme. He took a knee at the edge of the ramp, keeping his head down while keeping in sync with the song. But as soon as the lyrics started, Brody pushed himself back to a vertical base, showing off his new plain white LWL T-Shirt. Sure it was just the same that the crew wore with the colors inverted, but it gave him a contrast with the nights opponent at the very least. Starting down the ramp, Brody responded to his excited reaction from the crowd by slapping at hands as he moved towards the ring.

"I can't see where you're comin' from.
But I know just what you're runnin' from
And what matters ain't the who's baddest but the
Ones who stop you falling from your ladder, baby."

"Introducing First!
From Zanesville Ohio, weighing in at 275 lbs, Brody Robinson!

"When you feel like you're feeling now
And doin' things just to please your crowd
When I love you like the way I love you
And I suffer but I ain't gonna cut you 'cause...."

Smiling at the positive reaction he was getting after winning his first two matches, Brody refused to break off from the barricade, and continued hitting hands as he traveled down the crowd barrier to the announcer's table. Upon reaching the table, he gave a short nod to the people calling the match and jumped up on the table in front of them. Arms at his sides, Brody scanned the crowd, his signature goofy grin plastered over the bottom half of his face. And as the chorus of his song started to play, he raised his arm to the sky, unintentionally cranking up the fan reaction a few decibels

"This ain't no place for no hero
This ain't no place for no better man
This ain't no place for no hero
To call home."

As soon as the chorus started repeating itself, Brody dropped his arm and, after one last look at the crowd, jumped off the table and rolled himself into the ring. Climbing back to his feet, Brody kept an eye on the Gallant while he pulled off his hat and overshirt, making sure the masked....guy didn't try anything funny. Tossing his extra clothes out of the ring, Brody stuck to his corner, staring at the Gallant while he waited for the bell to ring.

The Gallant wiped his gloved hand down his mask looking at Robinson every second. The bell rang and The Gallant moved in for the skill. He feigned a lock up attempt, but if Brody got to close to this Venus Fly Trap, he'd get stuck with The Gallant attempting a strong boot to the midsection.

Being the reasonable guy that he was, Brody walked forward and tried attempted to lock up with The Gallant, thinking that it was a good way to kick off the match. Nope. Brody doubled over from the Gallant's kick, and stumbled backwards to get some distance so he could try to recover.

The Gallant dropped to a knee hoping to land an uppercut but the sly Robinson was able to fox his way from getting hit. The Gallant got back to his feet, fully preparing for Brody as he began trying to circle Robinson, like a Great White Shark, but more masked and lame.

Brody righted himself as the pain in his stomach started to relieve itself, and he breathed a sigh of relief that he'd avoided The Gallant's uppercut by what amounted to luck. Watching Gallant circle the ring, Brody turned in kind, making sure he was facing the masked man at any given time. He wasn't about to run in and try to attack; He'd just proven that wasn't a great idea. No, if Gallant wanted a fight, he'd have to take the risk this time.

The Gallant wasn't one to counter moves as much as he'd avoid them. He would roll out of the way of Brody Robinson and give a loud yell that wasn't much of anything meaningful. He would quickly turn towards Brody and runs at 'The' Robinson attempting a low dropkick to the knee.

Right on schedule, The Gallant came charging in, and Brody did something simply amazing; he moved out of the way, stepping off to the right, leaving Gallant's dropkick to hit nothing but air. Without waiting to see if is opponent would actually stay still, Brody ran across the ring and rebounded off the ropes, before jumping into the air and attempting to hit The Gallant with a quick leg drop.

The Gallant was, for lack of a better word, '********'. First, he was forced to miss a dropkick by the nimble Robinson, then Bodacious Brody went flying across the ring and bounced off the ropes back towards The Gallant. Lastly, The Gallant's chest was crushed by the leg of one Brody Robinson via vicious leg drop. The Gallant flopped up into the air as if he were reaching for air.

Spinning on his rear to get his legs off of Gallant's chest, Brody got himself back to his feet and backed away from the Gallant's place on the mat, giving him an ample opportunity to recover. Brody's mat game was practically non-existent, so he wanted to get the fight back to a vertical base before he went any further.

The Gallant had just taken a leg drop, but nothing followed it up. The Gallant then had a suspicion that Robinson was more of a brawler than a technical expert. Gallant would take a bit of time getting to his feet, watching the larger man as he pulled himself vertical.

Brody watched the Gallant get back to his feet, trying to come up with a new bit of offense. He wasn't running in without a plan, but maybe one of his rookie maneuvers would serve him well. Winding up his right fist, Brody charged at The Gallant, giving every indication that he was going to strike at his head. But once he was close enough, Brody shifted his weight mid-step and went to give The Gallant a childish kick to the shin instead.

The Gallant was expecting a punch to the face but was smashed in the shin by a kick. He fell over grabbing the top rope to keep himself on his feet. The leg that was kicked flew back but thanks to his hand grabbing the rope, he didn't land on his face.

Brody's eyes widened as he saw The Gallant stumble backwards, utterly shocked that his maneuver had been successful. But as he remembered he was still actually in a match and had a decent opening, he gathered his concentration and quickly closed the distance between himself and the Gallant. Thinking he could keep this match where he wanted it for now, Brody started throwing numerous rights and lefts at the Gallant, trying to use his opponents lost balance as an opening for a boxing rush.
