It was a nice day outside, sun shining and blue skies. Deoxy dragged his project out to enjoy the sunlight while he got work done one it. He was searching for a piece that seemed to be hiding in one of the boxes he used to carry everything outside. "Where is that little piece?" Deoxy frowned. "I know it was here." He muttered to himself. He flopped on the ground and started looking on the ground around the box, in case he dropped it.

vampire werewolf fangirl2 It was the perfect day for an adventure! Avalon crept through the tall grasses, her ears pricked forward as she'd stalk through the countryside. She'd already come across another Pockettu, not that he'd seen her... She'd just been curious, peeking into his boxes and then leaving him... funny enough, she now had this... 'thing'... she wasn't sure what it was, but it was hers now obviously, if she had it... She came to a bank of a lake shortly after, nearly falling in face first... Pinwheeling her arms, tail fluffed up, she'd hiss and yowl... The Pockettu with the blue and lavender hair could probably hear her... Not that she cared... she saw something and froze... eyes going wide and pupils dilated as she'd stare into the depths

Deoxy was still trying to find his missing piece. He was getting pretty frustrated about its lack of wanting to be found. He huffed and stood up, gazing around the area. He paused when he heard a yowl. He looked around again and spotted a red haired Pockettu flailing about then staring at something. He approached her slowly, not wanting to spook her or anything. "Are you alright?" He asked, cautiously.

vampire werewolf fangirl2 Unblinking eyes stared into the water, following the trail of something delicious. Her tail twitching slowly back and forth as she did not move another muscle in her body... her ears still forward as she seemed completely enthralled by whatever it was that had captured her attention... Her cat-like ear swiveling to the sound of a male voice... her eyes not leaving the meal in the accursed water.. "Fish..." was the only thing she said... her ear, perking back forward again... seemingly in a trance, his piece, hidden within her fist as she hovered over the water, but not daring to go in after it.

Deoxy blinked and raised an eyebrow at the girl's response. "Fish?" He asked. He moved so he was standing next to her near the waters edge. "Is that what has your attention?" Deoxy spotted a few fish, but they weren't really all that notable. "Is that why you nearly fell in the lake? You should be more careful. Why did these fish snag your attention so strongly?" He's a curious Pockettu and likes asking questions. He wanted to understand why the other Pockettu was so enthralled by something as seemingly dull as fish swimming in a lake. It's not like it's a rare occurrence or anything.

vampire werewolf fangirl2 Her voice was a whisper, as if afraid to scare them off... why? "They are.... delicious.... " her tail flicking back and forth, back and forth...Slowly her body melted down into a crouch, her eyes never leaving the water.... her ears perked forward, then laid back... "why must they live in water?..." hushed words as she'd be so close, but not daring to go for one... the dragonic wings upon her back so tense they were trembling... "I was.. treasure hunting... deep in the grass...found something... hunting more...almost...fell...in...' she really did seem like she was in a trance.

"Yes, I suppose they are delicious." He conceded. Deoxy watch the other Pockettu as she crouched, getting closer to the water. "That is easy to explain. They live in water because their ancestors evolved to stay in water and not move to land. The gills they possess make it so that they are required to stay in water to survive. Fish lack the capability to breath air, such as we do. Thus, when you remove them from water, they suffocate." He explained. "Wait, you found something in the grass? Was it a small piece of metal about this long?" He asked, using his fingers to show the length of the object. This Pockettu might be the reason he cannot find the piece he needs for his project.

vampire werewolf fangirl2 Some where in that head, maybe she was storing that information, but she didn't seem to be listening... so tense, so poised... but so not going in there after them... She hated water, she didn't even dare to dip in a hand to swipe it out... It wasn't fair! She'd already suffered through a shower! She did not want to get wet again... blinking her green eyes she'd slowly turn her head to peer up at the man, grinning and showing off some very cat-like teeth as her voice purred up to him, "Thanks... I didn't know the specifics... I was just bemoaning the fact that one of my favorite foods is in a place that I absolutely hate!" swishing her tail behind her as she rose... he was asking questions now... questions were bad things... it tended to lead to her getting in trouble for something... "Not in the grass... in a box someone left with a lot of other stuff that wasn't as shiny..." narrowing her eyes at him... "why?..."

Deoxy was a little weary of the other Pockettu. She weirded him out a little bit. "You're welcome. Why do you hate water? And you know you could always get a fishing pole or something and use it to catch the fish. That way you don't have to go in the water and you can still get fish to eat." He frowned slightly. "The box was just left lying around!" He huffed. How rude of her to just snag something of his. Then again, he could see why it would seem like the box wasn't that important. "May I please have the piece back? I need it for my project. The box is mine. I used it to carry the project parts out here to work on it." He asked, politely.

vampire werewolf fangirl2 Snorting softly, a puff of smoke coming from her nostrils as she'd turn to look back at the water... "I'm a cat." as if that would explain everything... her green eyes narrowed as she'd flick an ear towards him... "a... pole?..." not that she didn't know what a pole was... and fishing that was may be good enough for some... but not her. "I don't hunt that way... plus... why do I need to worry about a pole and all that water while you're here hmm?" perking a brow at him in annoying when he'd shout, how very rude... She'd ignore him of a moment... holding the piece of metal between her fingers, she'd tap it slowly against her bottom lip as the tip of her tail twitched, showing she was not pleased... it was hers! Well.... he did ask nicely... "Maybe you would like to trade for it?" she'd give him a sidelong glance... gauging his reaction as she'd continue to tap the metal bit against her lips... it was making her salivate.. she was part dragon as well as cat.

A cat, right. That would explain the aversion to water and the love of fish. It's a little nail on the head, but it certainly explains a lot. "What do you mean 'while I'm here?" Deoxy asked, hoping she didn't mean she could just hunt him. That would put a bit of a damper on his day. He eyed the piece she had. It was the one he was looking for. Bugger. "I might be willing to trade depending on what kind of trade, exactly, you would suggest." He responded, hoping she wouldn't want another piece that was important or something else unpleasant. "I will warn you though, I don't have much to offer in trade."

vampire werewolf fangirl2 She'd grin at him again, it would be unnerving if it wasn't for the playful sparkle in her eye, "You're keeping me company and taking my mind off the fish, of course..." plus, he might get her one, now that she knew she had something he wanted. When she realized that he was willing to play her game and not just outright attack her, that thrilled her. Most were apt to try and just wrestle things away from her and while that was fun, in and of itself, she would prefer a trade because she was hungry... still tapping the metal bit to her lips she'd look around, most pointedly at the fish... "well, there's the fish... if you have a pole.... I like milk... cream... hmm... Oh! if you have a bit of gold, silver or even copper it would make me very pleased...." she bounced on the balls of her feet, swishing her tail with excitement... *then hmmm... maybe something pretty, I like shiny things..." her voice drifting off... then she'd peer at him and wait to see if he was still up for the challenge.

"Oh, yes, I suppose I am doing that." He rubbed the back of his head, sheepishly. That thought didn't even cross Deoxy's mind. He felt a little bad that he jumped to nefarious reasons first, not innocent ones. "I'm not very good at fishing. I only know roughly how to because I've read about it and attempted once. It didn't end well." And by that, it means he ended up soaking wet and no fish to show for his attempt. Deoxy thought for a moment. "I believe I have a copper coin somewhere or at least a piece that is no longer useful." He offered, hoping that would be enough to get the other piece back. If not, he might consider going and grabbing some milk or cream and bringing it back to her. He really needed that piece.

vampire werewolf fangirl2 Her head tilting to the side, her ears flickering forward and back... then to the front again before they'd droop a bit, "Well, that's a shame... they are such tasty looking things..." sighing with regret at the pool of water filled with delicious fishes... giggling softly as he'd admit that he'd fallen into the water, "terrible stuff, isn't it?..." giving a bit of a shudder as she'd step away from the water, heading back through the grasses where his boxes were, if he couldn't get the fish, she wasn't going to torture herself by looking at them... Her tail was a bit droopy now, as were her wings with disappointment... but as he confess to having a bit of copper she perked up almost instantly "Truly!?" She'd whirl about to face him, a wide grin spreading across her lips... lighting up her emerald eyes "not as good as gold or silver, but copper is tasty too, you sure you have a bit?" she'd hold the little metal piece protectively, it was offering her something much better in her mind now.

Deoxy blushed slightly when the other Pockettu giggled at him. "Water isn't so bad, when you're expecting to be in it. It's annoying when you fall into it unexpectedly or get dowsed in it when you don't want to be." He didn't mind water and was a half decent swimmer, but falling into the water while fishing was not a fun experience. Deoxy followed her back to his boxes, keeping an eye on her, in case she tries to snag something else while he's not looking. He couldn't help but smile a little when the other got really excited about the coin. "I'm pretty sure I have a copper coin here some where." He dug through one of the boxes. After a few moments he straightened up and held up a coin in victory. "I knew this was here somewhere. It's yours if I can have that piece back."
