Has anyone seen Ocean Waves? It isn't even listed in the guild, makes me kinda sad. I personally haven't seen it, but I would really like to. It sounds like such a great movie. Also there's no forum for Only Yesterday. Has everyone forgotten about these movies made by Studio Ghibli?

I Can Hear the Ocean (the more literal translation of the Japanese name, and the one I prefer to go by) isn't listed in the guild since it's a TV movie, so we were letting the members create a thread about it by themselves. And there IS a thread for Only Yesterday... And in the first page... Please search carefully before creating your next topic.

Unfortunately, I haven't seen it either...It really does look good though. I doubt Disney will translate it though (damn you Disney...).
Lavender, where did you watch the trailer?

Azmaria No, I haven't seen it. What is it about? o_o Taken from Nausicaa.net: Ocean Waves is the official English title (from Japan) for a film more commonly known as I Can Hear the Sea (the literal meaning of the Japanese title).
Set in Kochi (on the island of Shikoku), Umi tells the story of a love triangle that develops between two good friends and the new girl in school who transferred from Tokyo. The new girl, Rikako, is at first arrogant and distant, but eventually makes friends.

We still haven't bought a Region Free DVD player and Disney's just not releasing when they way they will, so I appreciate the opportunity to watch it this afternoon wrapped up in my afgan. Ocean Waves is out for Regions 2 & 3, but not Region 1.
