Pastela smiled happily, still in a daze as she and Porter walked home from their date. They had certainly changed their relationship by accepting this relationship, but she regretted none of it. Quite the opposite, she had not felt this happy in a long time.

She looked up at the sky, seeing that the sunset was about to come. Pretty soon the sky would be turning the same color as the Pae beside her. "What do you think Lannister has been up to while we've been gone?"

Porter glanced over at the beautiful female next to him, swinging their intertwined hands back and forth in a very relaxed manner. "Honestly, I have no idea. This is what... the fifth time we've left him home alone with Lykaon?" Porter questioned her. "Everytime they look completely innocent... but you never know. That wolf of yours is a bad influence on him." Porter winked at Pastela as he teased her. He was actually pretty lucky in the fact that Lannister was a pretty well-behaved kid, more so then he had ever been. It was nice to get away on these dates and focus more on themselves, since their time had home was wrapped up in entertaining Lannister most of the time.

"Has it really been the fifth? I've lost count." Pastela grinned at him, squeezing his hand. "Hey now! Lykaon isn't all to blame for their crafty behavior. Your little brother is quite the trouble maker himself; he'll be a man of few words and many actions."

God... had they really left the two alone five times already? True, Pastela really didn't know anyone with children, and it seemed Porter didn't as well. Surely, it would be better if there were younger ones around for Lannister to play with than just her companion wolf. "Do you think it's alright we leave them alone so often?"

Porter nodded his head very quickly and enthusiastically, "Oh yes, I've had to come up with exciting and interesting ideas for each and every one of them. It's been at least 5, if not one hundred." He grinned playfully. "Lannister?! No, he's an angel... in faerie form." Lannister continued to walk on, conversing with Pastela as he did so. He gave the angel a strange look, wondering what she might be getting at. "You trust Lykaon don't you?" Porter hoped that he didn't have to worry about Lykaon ever turning on Lannister, he trusted the wolf because Pastela did.

Pastela looked at Porter in surprise. "Of course I trust Lykaon. If I didn't, there would be no way I could possibly allow us to leave him alone with Lannister. I'm just wondering if maybe we shouldn't look around to see if we can find other Pae with children for him to play with. He has a very active imagination, but maybe we should look to setting up play dates?

"Oh..." Porter went quiet. He should have known that his relationship to his little brother was different then the companionship he had growing up with his other brother. "I had a sibling that was my age when I was growing up, I didn't even think about it being any different for Lannister because he had me... but I'm hardly his age." Porter shrugged his shoulders, he would fix this, "Its a good idea Pastela, I'll take him out again someday and see if we can find anyone his own age." It had been a while since Porter had taken Lannister outside of Pastela's garden, mostly because last time he had ran off on him, it had scared the daylights out of Porter. Lannister was older now though. "The sunset looks so beautiful doesn't it?"

Pastela looked up at Porter in surprise. "I didn't mean that... I was raised by my brother as well, and I love him dearly. I just thought it might be good for him to have multiple playmates. New faces are always a good thing, it brings such valuable experiences."

At the mention of the sunset, Pastela looked up at the sky and smiled, then squeezed his hand. "It most certainly does." The colors were a fantastic spread over the sky, and they made her think of his own colors.

Porter nodded his head, he was learning new things about this 'parenting' thing all the time, it was never as easy as he thought it would have been. "I understand... I'll try and find something for him." Porter brightened up at the feel of her hand squeeze. They were getting close to home now, so this was some of their last moments alone in the peace and... well home was pretty quiet too... but he felt like he should take advantage of every moment alone. Porter used their clasped hands to pull Pastela into his arms, kissing her passionately.

The time was coming to and end for their date, which meant that she and Porter would have to be back to subtle behaviors with one another. It wasn't that they couldn't partake in these things after Lannister had been put to bed, but should the child wake up and walk in, it would have been awkward.

As she was pulled around into his arms, Pastela smiled and wrapped her other arm around him, returning his kiss happily.

When it was time to come up and breathe, Porter slowly pulled away, "There, now that that's out of my system, we can go home." He grinned sheepishly at Pastela as he resumed walking with held hands for the rest of the journey home. He held open the door for her and entered after she did. Lannister was playing with some of those crudely shaped wooden toys that Porter had made him right in the hallway. "Hey Lannis," Porter said, letting go of Pastela's hand so that he could lean down and hug his brother. "You being good?" Porter asked him. Lannister gave him a smile that said, 'of course' in return.

By the Guardians, could Porter take her breath away! Her head was in the clouds as they walked back, still feeling her lips tingling. As they stepped into their home, she smiled brightly as she saw Lannister playing with his animals.

'He's such a loving older brother...' Pastela thought, watching Porter pick up the younger one and feeling her heart throb with affection for the Pae. Lykaon came out from the other room and snuffed a greeting to the returning adults.

Porter smiled and sat down, motioning for Pastela to sit down next to him. Lannister waved at Pastela before looking back to his toys and silently playing with them. Always so quiet, the boy was. Porter glanced at Pastel and said in a low voice, "I wonder if he would have spoken more if he had someone other then us to talk to..." the male pondered, watching him play alone just allowed Porter to dwell even more on what Pastela had mentioned on their walk.

With a smile, Pastela took the seat next to him, then leaned herself against him a little. She didn't say anything as she watched Lannister play, so when Porter spoke again about the previous subject, she looked up at him surprised.

"Well.. maybe..." She thought back to Tourmaline, wandering if maybe the child hadn't bothered to speak because they had allowed it and because there was no one else around to force her otherwise. She rested her head on her shoulder and placed a hand on her stomach; Woobie and she had tried, but they were never able to bring another child in for Tourmaline, and neither had gone out of their way to fix the lack of socializing for the child.

"Do you have any ideas? Where we could start, I mean."

Porter was still staring, somewhat sadly, at Lannister, he didn't even notice the motion Pastela made. "Aside from making one?" Porter furrowed his eyes, realizing how that sounded. "I mean... like planting one in the garden." He shook his head, he didn't know any kids apart from Porter, he didn't have any friends aside from Pastela that might have kids. "Gee, I really need to get out more often."

Pastela's head snapped up when he mentioned making one, the surprise and hope in her eyes. 'Did he mean-' Porter corrected himself, slightly, and Pastela looked down again, feeling foolish. As he mused about needing to get out more, she spoke softly.

"We could make one...."
