He just stared at his daughter, unblinking and waiting for her to give him her answer. Oh he knew she was wanting to go off and explore. Again. But this was a fairly new area and he would be damned if he was going to allow his daughter to find herself in danger with a Kalona or Skinwalker! Though he'd not seen any sign of either, a father could not help be protect his child. Right? Of course.
"Alarion... " He sighed, tail swishing as he bumped the filly's hindquarters. "You promise not to go too far? And you will come straight to me if you find anything dangerous?" Sandy paused. Then added as her wings fluttered, "And no attempting to fly again!"
"Daaaad! Not even a little bit of flying?" She gave him her most best adorable face. Like usual, it didn't work. He just snorted and waited for her answer. "Yes, I promise. Can I go now? Please?!" He just rolled his eyes at her and nodded. That was all she needed. With a happy whinny, Alarion took off at a gallop, dodging around this tree or that rock. She was on a mission to find something amazing to bring back to her father!
It was several long minutes before the filly slowed, breathing a little heavy, and wings spread out for balance. She shook herself like a wet canine before wings settled along her back and she looked around at a much more leisurely pace. Wide eyes stared at the strange fauna she was not used to seeing. Large trees were in the distance, closer to the mountains she'd never been to. Her father liked to stay near the desert area, though they didn't venture deep into it. She'd heard there were soquili that lived out there. But she hadn't met any yet. She almost wanted to ask her father if he was just pulling her tail with that one.
Something caught her eye, reflecting off a surface. Heading towards it, she found herself gazing into a little creek. With fish! She giggled, lowering her head to blink at a startled fish. Come to think of it... she was a little hungry... but she tried really hard not to admit she had little cravings for foods her father didn't eat. Like... that fish.
"What do you think, Mr. Fish? Should I eat you? Or eat the grass?" The grass looked good too.

You'd think Lyric would learn.
You'd think after meeting a skinwalker and seeing terror itself he'd learn to stay back home with his mother and father, but no. The foal was not about to just stay home. Like he even knew how to do that anymore. He wasn't like he hated home! No! He needed to wander. He needed to move, and if he wasn't dancing so help him it'd be a good travel.
Except, again, he became lost. He was still a child and so he wasn't yet used to navigation. All he knew was that, once more, he was stumbling around like a lost fool. How absolutely embarrassing. He only hoped when he grew up he'd get better at this whole travel deal. He certainly hoped so, because he'd still travel even if it meant he went around the world twice just to visit his family. Yup. It was better than staying in one place with nothing to do except flick his tail and chase the flies away.
Yet, it also would be nice to know where he was going. Instead, he had other plans. Which was get lost and almost fall face first into a creak when he wasn't looking at the ground. A startled grunt left his throat when his hoof touched water. The hell? How..... oh. Well, this was new. He hadn't seen this creak before! It was a welcome surprise, his throat a tad parched from the unexpected trip up here. Well, a little break was needed before he even attempted trying to figure out where home was.

She watched the fish swim around lazily, almost as if it was taunting her. Alarion snorted at it, one foot slipping easily into the water. The fish was startled by this and darted away. But the filly gave chase, jumping along the shallow parts of the creek until she lost her fish. She paused where she stood, wing-things stretched out for balance and eyes bright as she looked all around for the fish. And suddenly had several of them come swimming at her. This was not anticipated and she squeaked, flapping her wings and attempting to backup. Until she slipped and made quite the splash.
Well. This was not how she'd intended this to go.
And she was pretty sure that Mr. Fish was out there laughing at her now.
Getting to her feet carefully, so she didn't slip again, Alarion glanced around to find the fish... and froze. There was... another soquili! Where had they come from? How long had he been there?! She blinked huge eyes at him, quite the sight. Water dripped from her mane and wingtips. Her coat held a sheen to it from the water droplets racing down her sides. Maybe... if she stood still, he wouldn't notice? Yeah... right. Yushika Omg I'm so sorry it took me this long to reply! I was gone for a week and then got busy the past week OTL
