[PLOT][PRP] A date! (Starry x Aulii)

[Dementia Requiem Asumi]

Starry quietly hummed to herself, leaving her tree for what felt like the first time in ages. She was headed for the beach, to learn to surf with Aulii. The cute little angel that had cheered her up the other day. She would be eternally grateful to him for pulling her out of that deep depression she had been wallowing in.

The starred demon walked, almost flew, excitedly towards the beach Aulii had agreed to meet her at.She'd brought with her a wrap to cover her skin if the sun had gotten too much to bear. It doubled as a good bag when she needed it too. Starry was a fan of useful things. Even when she wasn't doing much.

 

[Wolfs Heart]

Wax in hand, Aulii was already waiting at the beach, putting a final finish on his surfboard. He was looking forward to teaching Starry how to surf, his only hope was that he didn't become too instructional, he wanted it to be a fun time. When Aulii looked up from his surfboard he saw the dark blue demon heading towards him. The angel dropped the wax and waved her over. "Hey Starry!" he called out with a big smile. The male stood up and brushed the sand off himself before walking towards Starry to meet her. Once he got to her he opened up his arms to give her a friendly hug, part of his laid-back attitude. "Are you ready for this?" he asked her.

For a moment, she'd almost forgotten where they were to meet at. Until she heard him call her name. The starred demon waved, "Hi Aluii!" And started to pick up the pace to get to him quicker.

Starry grinned, hugging him in return. "I'm excited." She was practically bouncing. It was hard for her not to be excited right now, doing something new and fun.

"I can't wait, really~"

Aulii smiled, glad that the female was so enthusiastic about his passion, "Good, this is going to be awesome." he said with a fluid bobbing of his head. "You'll probably do great at this... I am a really great teacher afterall." He winked at her before leading her over to the surfboard. "This is what you'll be surfing on. Beautiful, isn't she? Though not as much as you," he said cheesily. "It'll probably be easier if we start you on the sand, and get used to it first."

Starry grinned, giggling not unlike a little girl. "I'm sure you're a wonderful teacher Aulii." The demon followed him, tail twitching in anticipation.

When her green eyes rested upon the board, a wave of nervousness had struck her. This thing was bigger than she was! Granted, it wasn't that hard to be bigger than her, she was a small demon. Starry's eyes widened a bit when Aulii told her that she'd be surfing on this board. Only to blush as he called her beautiful. It had been so many seasons since she'd been spoken to like that.

"Sand surfing? I didn't know you could do that?" She tilted her head, looking at him curiously. Okay, she really didn't know anything about it at all.

Aulii caught Starry's eyes widen, he had been waiting for her reaction. "Woah, its totally cool. It's easy, and there's nothing to really be intimidated about, its pretty safe." Aulii laughed at her next comment, unable to tell if she was joking or not, "Haha, that's because you can't really surf on the sand. It just helps you learn what to do before you go on the water." Aulii narrowed his eyes for a moment as he tried to remember something, but he couldn't figure it out. "I can't remember, do you know how to swim?" He asked her, it was possible he had never asked her in the first place.

"If you say so.." Starry sounded wary. She blushed a bit, thinking about how he was going to teach her.

"That makes sense." The demon laughed a bit, rubbing her arm. She should have realized that. But then, he was supposed to be teaching her all of this. Starry didn't have to worry too much about not knowing anything about surfing right?

"I can swim." She grinned, swimming was something was good at. The lakes around the isle had been her favorite places when she was little.

 

[Wolfs Heart]

"Good!" he had hoped for that, he wasn't a really good swim teacher. "I thought so, but had to be sure." Aulii knelt down beside the board and patted it gently. "Alright if you lay down on your belly here, we can get started." He gave Starry a reassuring smile as he held up his hand to help her down onto the board. "Once you're down, start paddling as if you were swimming in the water." Aulii held up his hand to show her how to cup her hand and then he began "paddling" next to her.

Starry grinned goofily, laying on the board as instructed. This felt so funny. Yeah, she was excited, but it still felt really silly to lay on the board on sand and pretend to swim. Maybe it was because she wasn't a child anymore?

"This feels so silly." The demon laughed, looking at him 'paddling' next to her. The starred demon bit her lip to stop laughing as she copied his motions.

"Am I doing this right?"

 

[Wolfs Heart]

Aulii chuckled as he leaned back to look at the whole picture. "You're right, you do look silly. I never really thought of it before." The male contented himself with a few more snickers before he continued, "it'll look less silly when we get you out on the water, I promise." He took a moment of sitting back to observe her form, before he paused and took her hand, moving her fingers individually until they made a good solid 'cup.' "There, just like that dudette."

Starry grinned, at least she wasn't the only one who thought it was silly. Of course that meant that this entire thing looked funny to anyone who didn't know what was going on.

"I'm sure you're right." The demon agreed, not trying to push anything more than where they were right now. She was sure that he would let her get on the water when she was doing well enough. Starry blushed deep, a nice shade of purple brushing across her cheeks, when Aulii took her hand.

"T-th-thank you" She stuttered, blushing wildly.

 

[Wolfs Heart]

Aulii grinned, thinking that the purple shade on her cheeks looked good. He decided against saying so, that might just make things worse. "Alright, so you're sitting in the water, and you look over your shoulder to see when the next wave comes. You see one, oh and its a beauty too!" Aulii started talking very enthusiastically, like a sports announcer. "So you start paddling to make sure you and that wave are one." If they hadn't looked silly before, they certainly did now with him shouting pretend scenarios at her. Aulii winked at his pupil, wondering if she might be thinking the same thing.

Starry followed his story, trying to imagine everything the way he was describing it. She'd never experienced it, but the blue demon trusted him to tell her nothing but the truth when it came to things like this.

It wasn't long until she was itching to try what he was talking about. Starry was excited to try surfing. Even more now that he'd been explaining so much of this!

 

[Wolfs Heart]

Aulii continued his story, "you and the wave are now one. Your board is flowing along in the surf... all there's left to do now it to stand up and let yourself soar in a whole new way!" Aulii was excited. "This next part happens really fast." You stop paddling, and put your hands on the board like so..." Aulii moved her hands into position, "and push your torso up, pull your legs up underneath you so that your feet are on the board." Aulii demonstrated the action on the sand, beside her board. It was second nature to him, but he was sure doing the movements quick and fluidly would be more of a struggle for her.

Starry was rather excited, watching his movements. And her hands got placed on either side of the board. She blinked, trying to make sure that she would remember right where they were supposed to be. She was certain that she'd have to ask him a million times over before she remembered. But this was still such fun.

"Torso up, legs under." The red head nodded as if she got it, watching him demonstrate as he spoke. Okay, he was really fast. Her green eyes blinked a few times, thinking how she could make her own body move that swiftly. She was fairly certain that her old creaky body would stop her from moving quite so quick.

"Like this?" She asked, following his movements as quickly as she could.
