Daa'kara was nervous.

Under normal circumstances he wouldn't have been. The mid-afternoon sun was shining through foliage, he could hear the sound of water close by, and he'd even gotten a good night's sleep. Normally by this time, he'd be contemplating small things while practicing his swimming. However today Voodoo had said that he wanted to have a talk and that Daa'kara shall be meeting him here.

Voodoo had always made Daa'kara a nervous. Maybe it was the way he talked or the way he always seemed to be getting on to the younger stallion, but Daa'kara just didn't feel he could ever relax around the tusked male. Then again, if he was honest, Daa'kara had very few others whom he felt relaxed around, as it always felt as if the others around him were silently judging him. In reality, he knew this was usually not the case, but sometimes the thought just would not stop nagging at him.

He wondered if others found him odd. He didn't think he was that weird, but he did often get funny looks when he would zone out when someone was talking to him, or become startled for no apparent reason. Not that he could really help it sometimes. Focusing just was not his strong suit, and when he did manage to focus on a thought, breaking him out of it tended to scare him half to death. He wondered if anyone else had such problems...

Wait, why was he here again?
...
Oh yeah. He was here to meet Voodoo. Daa'kara shook his hair and flexed his wings. He really hoped Voodoo would get here soon.
