Amrita was bedridden, and just well enough to get antsy. Moving was still an issue as her wounds had yet to fully close despite the time that had passed, so while she was conscious enough to be bored, she knew better than to get up and start moving. Plus, she was still in pain. She didn't want to sleep anymore; the last time didn't work out that well for her. If she could avoid it, she would.
Thus the plea to critter, though she wasn't sure if she liked the events that unfolded after all thanks to Hel. One good thing to come out of it though, was Mot agreeing to lend her some books. She never really read much fantasy or fiction, so it would be interesting at the very least!
The ghoul entirely bedridden and wearing clothing that thoroughly covered all of her bandages (while being fashionably blood stained to hide the real stains) waited for the Reaper to show up, idly roaming her fingers through a bit of blanket fabric. She was just about to drift off out of pure boredom when she heard the knock on her door.
"It's open~" Please let it be Mot.

Amrita was in luck. It was Mot.
The door opened, revealing a smiling reaper carrying a loaded duffel bag full of books. "Howdy, Amrita!" He called, closing the door behind him and softly walking to her side. He paused mistep as something caught his eye. Turning his head, he came face to face with hundreds of floresce in a tank.
The stare down lasted for 5 whole seconds. He slowly turned his head away, his smile looking slightly uncertain. "Cute fish.."
"Aw, geez. You don't look so good. Feeling sick?" He frowned, pulling up a chair to sit down. The giant bag of books was laid softly on the bed so Amrita could go through them at her own leisure. "I brought too many. I just couldn't choose!"

Relief was evident in her expression, not to mention the way her whole body seemed to relax the slightest bit. Leaving her door unlocked was a constant worry for her, and her current state left her completely unable to defend herself should the wrong sort come across it.
"Mot, Hi! Aha...thank you. Every now and then I worry I have too many, but...I feel so bad for them, nobody ever wants them in the shop!" She did at one point work for a minipet store in the maul; too many injuries and too much work at school had forced her to quit, which had effectively put a stop on her adopting the fish. Sadly, she still had hundreds of them in her room, and even more in the closet.
"Yeeeeah...I feel like I was hit by a truck, or crushed by rocks, or maybe the truck, then the rocks." She whined, struggling to sit up to be sociable, unable to hide the grimace of pain as the hidden but gaping wound in her stomach announced it's disapproval. "Whoa. Don't take this the wrong way, but I never pictured you to be such an avid reader!" The ghoul was desperate to start a conversation, trying to avoid too many question-and-answers about her current state.

"Jeepers, that sucks, Amrita. FearFlu sure is deadly. I hope I don't catch it." The reaper actually left it at that, smiling as Amrita steered the conversation another way. He laughed at her words, ruffling his shorter hair in a bashful gesture.
"Truly? I've always been fond of books." He grinned, "Especially adventure novels. I get completely sucked up in their world. I used to read them a lot more before Amity. Since coming here though, I've had so many Real adventures that the fantasy ones are no longer an escape." The male shrugged, remaining light hearted despite it all. "Lately I've been reading up on textbooks involving wood crafts, and other hobbie building books."

He let the subject drop, and she was grateful for it. Now to keep it that way...
"Which is your favourite?" She hummed curiously, opening the bag and slowly sifting through the books. Part of her slow speed was to avoid startling her injuries, but it was really because she was reading the titles and the information on the back, wondering if there was one that would leap out at her right away.
"...Oh! That's right, your woodworking! Did you ever get that table of yours done? What other hobbies are you looking in to?" She paused looking at the books and had started staring at him. There was something...different...about him.

"My favorite is the Little Boil Death series! It's about a Grim Reaper boil who travels the Wild West saving people." He grinned childishly. "I also enjoy the novel called Cowboils and Lizards. It's about a band of bandits who save the land from a pack of vicious lizard beats from taking over and stealing all their seeds." The geek in him had him bouncing in his chair.
"I did~. My desk is now whole once more. As for other hobbies, I've been recently learning embroidery." He smiled a long while, tilting his head as she stared.
"...s-something the matter?"

"Ooh, that sounds good! I'll definitely give that one a read." She had picked up the book in question, pressing her finger into the parchment to fan through the pages. Mot was a god send! Plus, his excitement was infectious; he loved it, and it made her want to read it even more. She set it aside, putting it immediately on her night table.
"Glad to hear it! Once I'm better I would love to see it, if you don't mind? I may even have to commission you." There was something she wanted to look into, if only as a joke. Sadly she didn't have the means to go find professional work to get it done, so...maybe a hobbyist could help her. He seemed to notice her staring, and when she noticed that he had noticed, she jumped.
"O-oh no! Um! I was just thinking...something is different about you. Does that sound weird? It sounds weird." The ghoul was flustered because she had been caught staring, her gaze instantly dropping back to the books on her lap.

"Truly? You're most welcome to visit. I don't believe I've taken a commission before but name it, and I'd do anything. I love a good challenge." He grinned, more than welcoming a visit from Amrita.
Something was different? Perhaps his growing self confidence was shining through! Or! Or even... "Well, I've been working out." He said bashful, smiling shyly and rubbing the back of his head. Yes, clearly his manly physique was what had her astounded!

"I want to get a table made as a joke for a friend...but I want a map of halloween on the top. Like a war-room type thing...like when you see old strategy rooms on skelevision." Amrita nodded, smiling as best as she could, though one side of her face was in a great deal of pain thanks to the Hun--her sickness. "For silly reasons."
"Ooh, maybe that's it!" She glanced at him again, her head tilting as if trying to figure it out. "But more than that...did you get a hair cut?"

"Oh My Jack!" Mot gasped, his hands flying to his cheeks. His eye slit up, already mapping out how to go about carving it. "I would love to do that! Ah, but I couldn't just do it as a joke. This will be a work of art!" He grinned and leaned closer. "Provide for me the wood, and I will make this happen."
His hair? "Ah! That's true... yes, I have cut it since we last spoke."

...Mot was really going to help her make a war table? Really? Amrita went quiet, wondering if she should push the issue. She really didn't want to make this war table for fun, but if she really made it...well, that would be her second gift to a certain Dracolich, wouldn't it? Her gaze shifted towards her closet, where under a pile of junk hid a bloody Hunter coat, stolen after she gutted the owner for fun.
"Well...What kind of wood would be nice for something like that, you think?" Maybe she could spin it as a gift for the whole council, not just it's crazy once-king President...
"Hmm." She squinted at him again, and then nodded. "That's part of it." Though she did reach out and take his arm, giving his bicep a weak little squeeze. "Definitely been working out, too. Maybe one day we'll have to go head-to-head, hmm?" Like old times? If 'old times' meant 'that one time we broke into Breck's Shed and you complained at me the whole way', anyway.

"Hmmm... Maybe a very dark wood, as far as colour goes. But also a soft wood. It's easier to carve, and lightweight to move. Ah.. but if the council is rambunctious it could break. So perhaps a heavy weight wood? It would just take more work is all." He waved his hands and grinned. "Whatever you think would best suit it's purpose."
Mot seemed to beam with pride as Amrita commented on his bicep, gleaming like a child given a gold star. "Of course! However, I do not recall sparring with you. No matter, it is a date!"

"Hmm." The ghoul pondered her options, listening very carefully to his suggestions. Dark wood would look pretty sharp, and if it was like he said...a thicker type would withstand the no doubt rambunctious--- Wait. Amrita cast him a sly grin, as best as she could given that half of her face felt like it was on fire. "You could be a sleuth one day, if you figured out it was for the council! I think you need to leave before you find out the rest of my dark, dirty secrets." It was hard to tell if she were joking or not, but she seemed amused at the very least.
"Well, I remember fighting with you, but I think it was just words. Maybe we should change that."

Mot chuckled and grinned. "Well the moment you said Map of halloween and War Room, Student Council was the first thing to come to mind." Was that good or bad?
"Dark secrets? Now now, Amrita, you're getting into this seat of power thing much too eagerly!" He jested lightly.
He gave a nod, "I tend to fight with words much too often. I could use more practice with the reverse."

"...I'm not sure if that's a good thing, or a bad thing." Amrita found herself laughing again, though moments later she was drawing in a hiss of pain and curling into a small ball. It effectively put an end to the larger laugh, but after a few moments frozen, she relaxed again and found herself chuckling after almost nervously, as if nothing happened.
"Hey now, everyone has their dark secrets, Mot." She murmured wearily, then winked at him, though if it weren't for the small tilt of her head it could have been passed off as a blink. Oh the difficulties that come with having a gaping socket for an eye. "...Me too." She lied, though it was more of a wish than a lie. Lately, it seemed like the only way she could get anything across was to use force. Words never helped her any more, and she wished they could.
