This was a perfect day. The sun was high in the sky, but not to hot. The small breeze flowing back from the north had cooled off the air, yet gave the land a nice feel to it.This was the perfect weather Ari loved. Her pelt was perfect, for no matter how much rays her charcoal fur recieved, there would be something that would cool her off quickly.
The sky blue eyes on the queen scanned the terrain. She needed to head back to the den. Soon, and very soon, the cubs of her second litter would be able to start going off on thier own, but not to far from the den. Ari would get to teach them how to hunt soon! She never really had been able to do so with her first bunch, seeing as they were always with Asi and they had been moving so much. Whether it'd be from Northlands, to Southlands, they mocha charcoal pelt lions had always been on their feet.
Maybe Ari could find Tisha sometime, and ask if she would help with the teaching? Sye could bring little Taabu along as well!

Tisha found herself greatly disturbed at the appearance of the new cub. She had all but forgotten of her past of being alone while in the new pride, but now it came back so suddenly that she even refused to catch sight of her own son. It wasn't that she grew wary of him, it was just that she needed some time on her own to 'reminence'.
Settling down in the tall grasses, the adult lioness stood out greatly with her pure pelt. Letting a slow sigh escape her maw, she looked up to the sunlight above, and let her mind go back to the times when she had awoken as a juvenile. Back than, she had been forced to be rash with everyone, acting as if nothing would scare her and giving everyone the cold shoulder. Never had she dreamed of joining a family, let alone finding her own. It was all a battle for survival, and she was on her own.
Turning her mind away from that, she thought of the small cub that was slumbering in her den, and the frown grew deeper.

Scenting the air, the aging lioness searched for it's bearer. The scent was all too familiar, seeing as Ari had known this lioness for some time now. However, Tisha seemed to be intermingled with someone else's, causing her to quirk an eyebrow as she followed the trail.
Spotting the white lioness like a white snow against black sky, she moved up to her fellow pridemember. "Good evening, Tisha." The queen spoke smoothly, sitting before the huntress. "Does something plague your mind?" The blue eyes female asked, concerned.

Tisha turned suddenly at the sight of the dark lioness, and sent her a light smile. "Goodevening," She murmered, her dark eyes looking back out into the distance as she felt the light winds ruffle her pelt.
"I am merely remembering the darker times of my life." It was a simple statement, and as she said that, a lighthearted laugh left her maw and she moved to stand. Tail shifting back and forth slowly, she just stretched her back and looked fully towards Ari.
"It is good to see you, you never seem to get out much between the new litter and the old..."

"Darker times?" The older female tilted her head at this comment, before slowly sitting down.
"Yeah...With both Angua and Fu'Sikio to look after, the time has gotten shorter in the day." Ari laughed quietly. "I mean, I love them, but I also love roaming these lands. I can't wait until all the cubs are at an age where they can fend for themselves for an sun movement or two." The charcoal female smiled. "How's your son, Tafari, doing?" The elder asked, sky blue eyes gazing towards the white female.
