That was it. Why was he holding onto these ruined beanies? He'd tried taking off the cat ears Kat had put on one of them, but found it just left holes in the fabric of his once perfect headwear.
So twelve beanies now lay in his arms, limp with the shame of cat eared disease. The grouchy blonde stomped trough the hall, heading for the Deus Dumpster Of Lost Dreams.
AKA the trash can.

Otto's footsteps were one of three pairs he could recognize easily, no matter where he was. Yay, his friend was nearby! "Whattcha doin?" He chirped as he popped up out of nowhere - actually, from behind a nearby couch, for no reason. As usual he was all smiles, leaning over the top of the couch in a balancing act only an excited child could pull off.

Luck, or coincidence, or something, had Peyton leaving her room at precisely the right moment. Her back to the hall as she pulled her door closed, she didn't see the young man with his arms full stomping down the hall, but she certainly felt him when she collided with him as she moved to turn around.
Tiny as she was, she sort of bounced off him, into a wall, and ended up slouched against it with wide eyes and the beginning of a snarl forming on her lips as she snapped a hand up to grab for the beanie that was no longer situated on blonde hair.
Then she saw who, and what, she had run into, and the strangeness of the situation cooled the raising fire of her wrath and had her staring rather deadpanned at the armful of hats with cat ear that was quite possibly spilling to the floor after they'd crashed into each other(after she'd walked into him).
"Nice hats."
She hadn't heard the other boy, but she could kinda of see him there, on the couch, peeking over the back of the cushions in the hat carrying boy's direction. It made blonde brows twitch higher.

"Non'a yer damn bus---" Jeremy had distracted his attention from where he was walking, bumping into Peyton suddenly and scattering his cat eared beanies everywhere. His icy blue gaze drilled holes into the girl's head as he glared. Like that was so her fault, okay?
"Ugly hats." He barked with a huff, kicking them into a pile. "Damn b***h sewed cat ears into every damn one..." he muttered in a grumpy tone.

"Yes it is." Jeremy pouted, bent over the couch and resting his chin on both fists. "You stepped on my trap!" And if he were to look down, he'd see a crudely drawn picture of a bear trap tapped to the floor. "That wasn't meant for you..." Jeremy was clearly lamenting the loss of his trap - it had an Otto foot print on it. It was now RUINED.
"You should watch where you're going." He suggested helpfully to the pair, looking at them both with widely curious gold eyes. "Can I see your ugly hats?"

"Trap?" Peyton frowned, looked down, then felt her brows shoot up as she stared at the hand drawn bear trap the hat carrying blonde was currently standing on. "What the hell?" That was new..
A chilly look was sent towards the kid on the couch at the suggestion she watch where she was going, but it fizzled out as he asked about the hats, returning her attention down to them and their sewn on ears. She picked one up gingerly, examining the additions before giving an amused sniff. "They're kinda cute, actually. Not your thing?"
Her own hat was laying amongst the scattered mass, and she reached out to grab it as well before getting to her feet.

Trap?
Otto's gaze dropped to the floor, his face growing steadily irritated. "...What is wrong with you?" He was afraid of the answer, and kind of hoped Jeremy was too far gone to hear it.
Otto huffed, waving his hand. "They're trash. They used to be awesome." The blonde frowned, his brows knit together angrily. "I might have pissed off the wrong girl. She went into my room and did that to all my hats." And dusted everything he owned in coffee grinds.
The fellow blonde female seemed to appreciate a good hat. Her own beanie was actually really awesome. And Cat-Ear-less. Lucky b***h. The teen groaned and gathered the fallen hats.

Jeremy gave Otto a fox-eyed smile. He heard him, but didn't feel like he needed to reply. They started talking about the beanies and Jerm hummed, pulling himself forward to roll off of the couch, landing on his butt on the floor.
"Wow. Did you know that coffee grinds have spiders in them? From the making process." He chirped in happily, clearly distracted. "Can I have one?" He keened, reaching out to grab one that was closest to him. "This one?"

"They aren't trash," she insisted, rolling her eyes as she continued to look down at the one she was currently holding. "If you're just going to throw them away anyways, do you mind if I pick out a few?" What? Peyton liked hats, ok? And being a girl, she didn't have any qualms about sewn on cat ears. Jerm's near acrobatics earned him blank sort of look. He was a little on the odd side. Amusing, but odd.

Jeremy and his spider filled lies earned him an icy glare from Otto. "Well fine. I hate coffee anyway." Way to give him the heebie jeebies. Otto was seriously icked out now. "Yeah yeah, ya both can fight over'em for all I care. I'll just sit here and be damned hatless till my next leave off island."
