((For the first game we're actually pairing off the teams against each other!
Team VS Team are as follows! Group 1 is Pink Butterflies | Purple Parrots | Silver Snakes Group 2 is Orange Lizards | Copper Tigers | Green Monkeys Group 3 is Red Jaguars | Gold Anteaters | Blue Barracudas ))
Three Mazes have been set up in the back of what use to be a Field, it looked as if corn had been planted as soon as the early crop season would allow. Niflhel held his hand out as he showed the teams the Maze.
"I would like the Pink Butterflies, the Purple Parrots, and the Silver Snakes to take the Maze to my left. The Orange Lizards, Copper Tigers, and Green Monkeys to take the Maze in the middle. And the Red Jaguars, Gold Anteaters and Blue Barracudas to take the Maze on the right."
He instructed, "My Assistants will take you to your starting points, as well as give you a flag. This Flag will help us Identify where you are in the maze, and you must carry it at all times. Don't worried I tried to make sure they were light, as I managed to get the same type the high schools use for their marching band flag girls.
Through the maze you may hit dead ends, and other challenges, don't be afraid to take your time and explore all possibilities, because this challenge might not be about how fast you get through, but how well you work together.
As you can see, I have tree Stands placed at difference locations so that my assistants and I know where you are in the maze. We can also see if you cheat, so please don't take any shortcuts through the corn, as this is also about honesty."
Not that he expected any of those playing to make such a choice.
Flying Snakes
Teams please label your posts at the top with the following in bold. Pink Butterflies:
Prompt: The Attendants first lets the Pink Butterflies Enter, after waiting a few minutes they let the Purple Parrots Enter, and finally after a few more minutes the Silver Snakes are allowed to enter the Maze. Making sure that the teams were fully spread out so as none of them could follow the other.
As your team walks along the path you come to a four way split, you know that going back the way you came is the way to the starting line. However, you can choose to go Straight, Left, or Right. How do you handle this situation and which way do you go?
((Because this is the first prompt you have a full 48 hours to respond, after this prompt the timer will be set to it's normal 24 hour rounds. If after the set time has passed and your group has not made a choice an assistant will come into rescue you. Please make sure your partner agrees with the choice you make even if your characters do not!
As a reminder Do Not Delete Posts or Change your Answer. It is considered cheating and if I catch it I will disqualify your team from the game. (Please don't make me do this.)))

Myrkviðr stood blinking at a row of corn. It waved back. You wouldn't think corn could be dangerous, but the Page wasn't going to give it the chance.
“No fighting, no sparring, no broken teeth, arms, ripped clothes.” Just a jaunt through some potentially itchy corn. “Sounds easy enough,” she mused out loud to the partner on her right.
The page had refused to take the flag, leaving the girl who looked straight out of a magazine that was an older woman's version of Victoria's secret. Myrkviðr had no idea of such a magazine existed, but given the prevalence of strange things in the universe, she imagined it must.
The page clicked her tongue against the roof of her mouth as they took their first steps. She avoided any comments towards Nifhel, who she had decided was a sensitive man who took passive comments and arguments too seriously, and she did not want that life-story pouring out, thank you very much.
They were no more than a few feet in when Myrkviðr stopped, pulling at a tall row of corn and snapping the tip off a stalk off. The husk-covered kernals rolled around easily in her hand. After a solid squeeze to the first, she took a second and began to shred them as she walked. No one said they couldn't eat the corn.
Which was exactly what she was doing when the jaded and the bubbly came to a stop at the intersection. Myrkviðr looked briefly to her right, swallowed what was in her mouth, and then made a decision, “Let's go left.” She was left handed, was eating corn in her left hand, and Pharos was too the right of her: that made the left the most logical conclusion.
Pharos it seemed was stuck with the flag it seemed, but she didn't mind at all because despite her small stature, well her small everything, she was pretty strong and had just mountains of energy. She grabbed it up and followed the other page who grabbed a piece of corn to eat and as she came to the paths she was eating the corn.
Pharos eyed her and grinned, "its a good thing, this time a year is great for eating sweet corn raw," she said before deciding she'd like an ear as well. She quickly grabbed a nice stalk and started to peel it as Myrk decided they should head left. Pharos nodded, having no problems with going left and motioned for Myrk to lead the way. Maybe they could take turns picking paths, but even if they didn't Pharos didn't mind. She was eating corn, in a corn maze and it reminded her of home, so she was happy.

“I swear I don’t think it’s that big of a deal,” Valhalla mumbled under his breath to his partner as they were led towards the entrance of the maze. He reached for the flag as they drew closer, not minding the extra hindrance to their task. “It’s not like others don’t call me ‘Val’... I’ve just... known them longer... Ugh, should I apologize?? Do you think I offended him??”
There wasn’t much for him to do other than lament his subconscious reactions to things that brushed him the wrong way; if Themiscyra noticed the tension enough to mouth a comment at him, then surely Niflhel saw, right?? This was turning into another huge misunderstanding... kind of like when he’d snapped at Camelot about how Valhalla already had a father of his own. That had been Zia’s fault for getting him worked up, though — no, it had been his own fault. He was an adult after all.
Valhalla was perfectly content with sulking and following Themiscrya unless she had reservations about a direction. So when they reached the first fork in the maze, he glanced towards her with another grimace... which was apparently his new favorite expression, and one that didn't suit him at all.
“What do you think...?” he asked, trying to keep himself distracted from something that might not even matter.

Corn mazes? Seriously? Themiscyra wasn't sure if she was supposed to laugh or run in the opposite direction. "I quit if possessed children start coming out from between the rows. Or if anyone starts singing Jeepers Creepers." Still, she'd followed the basic start-up instructions, trailing after the assistants alongside Valhalla. To whom she was beginning to get very strong "boy scout" vibes from. His apparent hangups on minor social interactions were already earning him sympathetic looks and thin-lipped smiles as she tried to press back laughter. She really shouldn't laugh at something if it really distressed him. She really shouldn't.
Settling for a few pats on his shoulder, her dark bangs bounced around her face as she shook her head. "I think you're over-analyzing." Deciding she didn't know him well enough yet to determine if he'd take her calling his behavior 'cute' an offense or not, she blundered onward in another direction. "Just keep acting however you do around him like nothing happened. If you make a big deal out of it, then he might, too. Right now, just brush it off and have fun. It's not worth getting stressed about." Maybe she was biased. Danika was most certainly not the type to dwell on the negative around her.
She'd just been more amused someone called him a girl's name, though it did make sense for a nickname considering his place-name. It was only after that she realized there was apparently more to the situation than she thought. And that had still not been till after she'd been highly amused Niflhem had ruffled her hair. It was now noted the guy was apparently somewhat okay with physical contact.
As they came up to the first fork, Themiscyra watched as two other girls veered off to the left path. Three teams, three paths... no point in following anyone yet, in her mind. Feet planted firmly between the middle and right paths, she glanced between them. Hm. Nope. No 'come forth' sensations, no reactions to either paths. Her gut instinct was, apparently, dead-neutral on either way.
There were no cares to be given from her.
Valhalla's question had her turning a meaningful eye to his attire. "You're the one covered in compass designs... Sure you don't care to pick?"Was there a significance to all that? Not that it wasn't nice to look at, of course. Cocking her head a little, she tapped a sandal-clad foot to the ground. "Or we could... flip a coin? Heads, straight; tails, left. Or something roughly of the same concept?"

x'D I almost posted right when you did, glad I hit preview!
Team Purple Parrots Team Members: Themiscyra + Valhalla Choice: Right
Brushing something off like that was easier said than done. It didn’t even occur to Valhalla that he might have come across as rude until just recently, and by that point it was too late to backtrack without making it obvious that the instance had even occurred. But she was probably right in that he was over analyzing what had happened. Right now he needed to focus on what they were doing.
The maze itself didn’t seem too much of a challenge. After all, it wasn’t as though knights could cast enchantments to make the game impossible. It might take some time, but they’d make it out eventually.
Valhalla stared at Themiscyra for a moment, before looking down at himself and the various compass rose designs along his chest plate. “Oh, right,” he mumbled, reaching down for the strange looking object that hung by his side. Other people, like Sessrumnir, liked keeping their weapon in subspace for safe keeping, but he’d been lucky in that his weapon was portable enough to keep on him at all times.
He lifted the gyrocompass with the cord that it was attached to, looking at it for a moment before taking it in his hand, fingers carefully resting along the rim of the outer ring. “Did you know every knight has their own weapon? It’s one of the ways we’re different from senshi,” he explained, rotating his hand slightly, but the other rings compensated and the compass remained parallel to the ground. “This used to be a normal compass when I first awakened. Well.. okay, they’re not really weapons, at least none that I’ve seen. Not like the Negaverse...”
Pausing for a moment, he glanced up in the direction the arrow was pointing, shrugging and adjusting his hold on the flag as he nodded towards the right. “Might as well head North for now. At least we should be able to keep track of where we are... or we can just keep track of the direction the shadows are falling...” Or look at the sun, but that might not be the best advice he could give.

Was it impolite to point out the designs? Or perhaps her way of diverted the decision onto him hadn't been so tactful. He was already taking on the general brunt of things thus far, short of a time span though it was. "Sorry, just figured there had to be a reason for all the markings." Maybe she hadn't been too off base though, watching him pull up a... really, really ornate compass..? Before she could ask what exactly it was, Themiscyra was caught up in curiosity as he mentioned weapons.
...that thing was a regular compass? The girl winced and flashed a skeptical smile to Valhalla. "Least you could clonk someone on the head with a compass if you really had to." Turning her head and brushing back some of her hair, she motioned to her chain cuff earring. "I'm not too sure what I'm supposed to do with an earring. But... do all knight weapons change then? They actually are supposed to be useful?" No magical quest of impossible tasks required for a trade-in?
"Negaverse... they're the people we're supposed to be fighting..? A little senshi I met when I awoke mentioned them." Why did they get weapons then? And if what knights had weren't really weapons then what were they? Lips pursed, she tried to hold back at least some of her questions.
Fingering the garnet drop that hung from her earring, she peered at the face of the compass and glanced down the right path at his reasoning. "Works for me! If we really start getting turned around... could always break off some off the corn stalks to mark paths we've already tried. I don't think leaving a trail of kernels would work too well."
Prompt: Purple Parrot: You have picked the Right Path!
It doesn't take long for you to hit a dead end. Looks like you'll have to go back.
Silver Snakes: You have Picked the Left path!
It seems as if you've been walking for a good five minutes, and a few twists and turns later, you've unfortunately hit a dead end. At least there's a Scarecrow to keep you company. Looks like you'll have to go back.

I've added some information in the spoiler that may interest you guys. It's a bit of a TL;RD.
((You have 24 hours to response to this post. I've decided instead of disqualifying people yet for those groups that haven't posted within the previous 48 hour time limit (just even one person posting counts for both of you) you've been docked half the participation points. Until you reach the middle of the maze, after the middle of the maze the grace periods of having a second chance will run out; (I will note this) and an assistant will come save you. This is more about the RP team work than winning, and I want to make sure that is clear for everyone. However if you go an extra 24 hours over of not posting the participation points for that round are 0.

Team Pink Butterflies Team Members: Bimini + Celsus Choice: Straight
Excited was perhaps not a strong enough description of what Bimini felt as he was partnered off and then ushered to the first game. He still seemed obliviously unoffended by his color and animal totem, just happy to have a partner and an opportunity to relive his child/teenhood.
Corn mazes were no strange mystery to him, he'd escorted himself through many Halloween themed ones in the past. So as they entered he quickly power walked his way up to the first fork in the 'road' staring down the three paths thoughtfully. In haunted houses there was a rule of mazes that you should always turn one direction or the other.. but he couldn't remember if that was always left or always right...? And this wasn't really a haunted house either soo.. perhaps his logic there was faulty.
Whelp.. when all else failed leave it to pure luck! Closing his eyes Bimini pointed out his finger in front of him and began to spin and spin until he was getting pretty dizzy. Stumbling a few steps forward to stop he opened his eyes, his finger pointed towards the straight path.
"This one you think?" He piped cheerfully to Celsus.
Team Purple Parrots Team Members: Themiscyra + Valhalla Choice: N/A
”Don’t be sorry,” he smiled brightly as they turned down the path to the right. There was nothing for her to apologize for, and he certainly wasn’t upset by any of her questions or observations. Valhalla laughed as she mentioned how he could throw it. “I mean, I could... But I’m not sure how well the magic would work once it gets all bent out of shape,” he explained, making a small grimace at the thought of it being destroyed. “It’ll be good as new once I power back up, but if I needed it right then...” Didn’t seem worth the risk.
“I’m... not really sure what you could do with an earring, either,” he admitted a bit sheepishly. “A good friend of mine ended up being a knight of Cosmos... and his weapon was a small crystal on his wrist...” he explained before trailing off, making a mental note to email Daniel later and see how everything was going in Germany. Hopefully he’ll be safer there.
“As far as I know, most of them change, or at least get stronger. Mine didn’t change too much, but once you’re more experienced, you get to use magic, kind of like the senshi. Your weapon... uh... I guess it kind of channels it?” Valhalla wasn’t really sure well he was explaining everything she had questions about, but hopefully she’d get the general idea.
“That’s... a bit of a loaded question,” he started hesitantly when she pursued the topic on the Negaverse, glancing over to Themiscyra, wondering just what she thought about them. “It’s difficult to explain without generalizing... and that wouldn’t be fair to anyone.” It wasn’t much of a disclaimer, but it was the best he could do at that moment.
“The Negaverse has been known to control the youma, and steal energy and starseeds... They don’t believe the senshi have any claim to living on Earth, so they want to eliminate them. Some are ruthless and will try to kill you no matter what, but I’ve met others who are willing to talk, especially with knights since we’re from Earth before being sent to our Wonders...”
Valhalla paused, not wanting to overwhelm her with too much, but he couldn’t help adding, “Personally, I’d rather find a way to coexist... but I believe Chaos at its core should be destroyed, not those under its control.”
And with that, he looked back up to realize they’d picked a dead end path. Well, crap... “Oh, sorry...” he mumbled, glancing down at the compass that once again rested against his side. It didn’t take too long to get back to the fork where they’d made their previous decision, and he pointed bashfully to their immediate right. “Guess we should try going right again...?” It would put them on the path that would have been straight.
But before they started moving again, he turned to mark in the dirt of the path they’d just come out of — Dead End. That way no one else would end up going in circles.
Or maybe he was doing this game thing wrong...

Choice: Turn back and go to the right (straight path)?

Team Silver Snakes Team Members: Myrkviðr + Pharos Choice: Straight Path
Going as far as they were without seeing another divide in the corn was giving Myrkviðr a sneaking suspicion that they were going to run into a dead end. Not that she was going to turn around just yet, because humans grasped onto hope until it choked them to death.
Instead, she tossed aside a barren cob and went about picking the leftover bits from her teeth. Eating hadn't been such a great idea after all. The corn was causing more discomfort than it was worth.
And right on cue, the pale brunette came to a halt, staring at the wall before her idly.
"Well."
She'd apparently forgotten to mention that she hated exercise, and already this was beginning to qualify.
"I guess we turn around, then. You lead this time."
Team Purple Parrots Team Members: Themiscyra + Valhalla Choice: Straight
"I'm sorry, did you just say magic?" Her spine straightened, brow rose, and in an instant a Christmas morning grin was splitting her face. "Knights get magic?" Maybe this shouldn't have been news to her, but she'd been operating under the 'brute force' combat concept. Spellswords was a highly pleasant surprise. Even the reality of potentially destructible weapons didn't do much to curb her mood, if only for the blatant fact Danika stayed hundred percent glued to the fun facts. They could be repaired somehow. No loss, no foul, no concern. Peering down at the metal rings around the compass briefly, she'd wager it could stand at least one good hit anyways, but would have to agree the risk might not be worth it.
Still on a perky high from the concept of magic--okay, likely nothing Zatanna worthy but still--she only barely picked up on mention of another knight till a non-planetary name was mentioned, earning Valhalla a puzzled look. "Cosmos..? The universe has knights?" Her brain caught up with the other key point he'd mentioned, and a little laugh bubbled up. "It's nice to hear I'm not the only one with a... weird weapon. How did he... um.... deal?" In a fight, was her intent with that, though personal gripes were also welcomed. In so far as an accessory, she liked her earring. It even occurred to her she could lie to people and say her bracelets were her weapon--but exactly why she'd need to do that, she wasn't entirely sure, hm.
Magic again. She'd get to use magic. This was all just too cool. Maybe that was her trade-off? Useless earring for much cooler magic..? Any concepts she could come up with for how her weapon could change weren't thrilling in terms of fighting. Her head nodded a few times to show she understood, even if she was caught up in her thoughts. "What do you do? Your magic, I mean. Do you focus more on it in a fight?" The question was an afterthought, but not one she even batted a lash to once the words were out. Seemed reasonable to her. Looking to his arm guards again though, she smirked. "Though you look like you'd pack a punch in all that without it."
Uh-oh. Shades of gray zone. Themiscyra didn't go into a ramble about how even Lex Luthor had his 'champion of humanity' moments, but fiddled with one of her bracelets. Her nails picked at the raised symbol of Mars. Listening to his explanation, she raised her brows and sent him a side-long look. "Don't have claim..? Do we need to start showing these guys birth records, or Social Security cards? Tax records? Last time I figured, we're all born on Earth. That gives anyone claim." To say this whole section of their conversation zoomed right over her head was a massive understatement. The blank look at the mention of knights being sent to their Wonders only compounded on this. "Uh. When did I sign up for this trip to Themiscyra? Think I'd remember going to an ancient Amazon city." Why yes, she had done her research!
It was hard for her to keep a straight face at this point. This Negaverse sounded ridiculous to her, youma controlling and energy-starseed stealing aside. They sounded like overzealous Boarder Patrol to her, and had a rather amusing mental image of people walking around with picket signs saying "EARTH BORN OR BUST" or "MAGIC DENIED" or something.
The fact Valhalla had said some would try to murder people seemed to all but vanish in her mind, as if the comment had never existed. The Negaverse was a source of entertainment for her now with these silly turf war concepts.
The mention of chaos made her frown, though before she could pounce out a whole new string of questions to that, the dead-end loomed before them in the most anticlimactic way possible. "Luck or bust," she mumbled to herself, turning heel back the way they'd come. If she was at all bothered by the setback, her lax nature certainly didn't show it. Arms crossed behind her head, hands clasped over her bracelets, she nodded as they reached the original fork and didn't halt as she started for the straight path. "Second try's a charm? Maybe?"

Team Silver Snakes Team Members: Myrkviðr + Pharos Choice: Straight path!
Pharos herself was enjoying all the twist and turns on the maze, but she could sort of tell already that they weren't going anywhere particular and would likely dead end. She had done corn mazes back home, having grown up in a farming community, but she didn't voice her concern and was content to simply follow Myrk. At some point she tossed her corn, it had been good and she had devoured it quickly.
As it turns out the did they did indeed dead end and there was even a funny scare crow waiting for them. She gave a smirk and headed over to the scarecrow and pulled a few pieces of hay from the thing. "Just going to use a bit of this, if you don't mind," she mumbled to the thing before turning and handing a bit to Myrk. "It will help with the corn teeth," she said with a grin before nodding at the girl and going back the way they came.
It didn't seem like it took to terribly long to get where they had been before and when they got there Pharos pointed straight ahead, "the straight and narrow away," she spouted before marching down the straight path.
Prompt: Purple Parrot: Silver Snakes: Pink Butterflies: You all have picked the Straight path!
It doesn't take long for your teams to reach a split, the road turns either left or right. The music also seems to be getting further away the longer you stand around to make your choice.

Team Silver Snakes Team Members: Myrkviðr + Pharos Choice: Left
Pharos followed the straight path and it's barely a few minutes before they came to another choice. Pharos stood looking left and right, left had lead them astray the first time, but she hoped taking left this time wouldn't. She looked to Myrk, and nodded to the left path.
"I hear music, but I'm not sure where its coming from. Sound like left maybe, but it could be right," she said still eyeing the left path.
She turned toward it and started down it, she wanted to catch the musician, maybe it was a clue. Yeah she bet it was a clue, she didn't even think any longer on whether left was even the right path.
"Come on," she said looking at her partner, "if we catch up maybe we can get a clue, but we have to hurry. They music sounds like its getting further away." She was already part way down the path, waiting with bouncy excitement for Myrk to put some lead in it.
Team Purple Parrots Team Members: Themiscyra + Valhalla Choice: Right
As they wandered further through the maze, Themiscyra strolled with an easy pace. Nothing seemed to be amping up to jump at them from the corn, no creepy children chanted somewhere in the distance... all the flickering images of various horror movies drifted off into her subconscious to be otherwise forgotten. Surely no one would arrange an event like this to screw others over anyways. They were all on the same side, there wasn't anything to gain by setting up ambushes. Worst part would just be how... well, tedious it might be to make it through the maze.
....they wouldn't make them stay out here into the night, would they?
Instead of voicing this new minor concern, the Page tilted her head, taking in the sound of music that drifted through the air. "Think they've got a band out here..?" That'd be kinda awesome. Finish a game, get a concert. Unless this was some sort of 'follow the music down the rabbit hole' sort of thing. Themiscyra gave a small shrug to her own thought process, shooing the nerves away with a glance at the Knight. Yep. Zero reasons to freak. Smiling anew, she scarcely paused at the new two-way. Her sandals were already moving towards the right path, casting Valhalla a grin and a shrug.
"If this is another dead-end, I vote we shun all right turns after this."
