Hi, my name is Thackery Lovette.

But I mostly go by Kery.

I'm a man.

I'm 31 years old.

My birthday is March 19th.

I'm the head of the Department for the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts.

My dream job is to be a tinkerer! I’m fascinated by Muggle things, I’d love to have the time to just sit down and figure out how it all works! Particularly computers. They’re simply fascinating. I think I’d like to be a Muggle IT guy, actually. To spend all day working on computers sounds amazing!

My blood status is Pureblood.

The house I was in was Ravenclaw.

I was in the class of 2011.

I'm interested in women.

I'm currently with my wife, Piper Lovette.

I may seem rather serious and single-minded, but I'm really incredibly light-hearted. I need to maintain my focus while I’m work, but in a less serious situation I’m quite fun, really. I mean, I’m certainly the serious one on my marriage, but if I were a complete dullard, my wide wouldn’t like me so much, now would she?

My background story is that I come from an old family, and was raised as such. I found it a bit stifling, really. So many rules, so many expectations. Being away from my parents during the school year was heaven. I got amazing grades, of course, but that was more because I wanted to than because of familial pressure. I enjoyed my lessons, even the ones other people thought were boring. That’s how I met my wife, actually. In 5th year, my Head of House asked me to help another student study for exams, because she was not doing very well and I was the top of my class. Piper was utterly hopeless when it came to lessons; she wasn’t the sort to enjoy school. I did manage to help her squeak by with an A in almost everything, and she decided to pay me back by, as she put it, ‘loosening me up.’ I went on a date with her that weekend, and it was the most fun I ever remember having. I kept to my studies, but I was never the same after that. I stopped caring about my parent’s high expectations, I stopped feeling pressured to be what they expected, and I let myself study things that were interesting to me instead of things they wanted me to study. That’s how I discovered my love of Muggle things; I had taken Muggle Studies in 5th year, and found it utterly fascinating, but I’d never paid much notice to it, trying to please my parents. When 6th year rolled around, I took that, as well as doubling up on several other Muggle lessons, and never went back. I didn't take the NEWTS for those lessons, of course, but I did all the work. When I graduated, I married Piper and went into the Ministry in the Department for the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts. We had Gypsy within our first year of marriage, and Echo a year later. Piper passed her artistic nature and special genes onto her daughter, and I passed my love of Muggles on to Echo, although he’s more of a book person and I’m a tech nerd.

I enjoy messing around with computers, watching Muggle television, spending time with my kids, eating outside at sunset, and watching my wife work.

I despise people who treat tradition like law, narrow-mindedness, people who can’t relax and enjoy themselves, seeing my parents look down their noses at my family, and the fact that magic interferes with Muggle technology and makes it hard for me to really study it.

I'm afraid of my parents making my children feel like they’re less than perfect.

My strengths are that I’m clever and that I know how to relax.

My flaws are that I tend to get wrapped up in my work and lose track of time.

I work in my very own Ceramic Studio! I teach classes, too.

My dream job is to do exactly what I’m doing, create. It’s wonderful.

My blood status is Pureblood.

The house I was in was Ravenclaw.

I was in the class of 2011.

I'm interested in men.

I'm currently with my husband, Thackery.

I may seem like I’m a bit off my rocker, but I'm really quite the thinker. I just don’t think in a way most people can understand. I’m the embodiment of every stereotype associated with the word ‘creative,’ off in my own world more often than not. But my creative mind lets me to think outside the box and come up with solutions that few people can see. My brain tends to follow odd paths to get to the final result, but it gets there all the same.

My background story is that I’m just like my mother. I never knew my father, he died when I was still really little. I have vague memories of him, a kind, smiling man. Just enough to know that he loved me. But my mom raised me all her own, and I ended up just like her, a dreamy, distracted, why-am-I-here-when-I-could-be-creating, doodles-on-her-notes artist. And I did doodle on my notes and skip lessons if I was suddenly inspired to create something. I wasn’t always the best student… alright, I was never the best student. But I was smart. Actually, I was the student that the professor’s called after class to find out why she was doing so poorly when she was so obviously smart. My Head of House never understood how I could ‘squander my brains,’ as he put it. But I was never interested in books. I knew I was going to be an artist, so why should I bother with anything else? I’m glad I was that way, though, and that my professors saw my potential, because if they hadn’t, they wouldn’t have kept trying, and then Kery wouldn’t have been asked to tutor me for my OWLs. He was so uptight, but I saw something in him. We got along great, he helped me pass almost all my exams (some were a lost cause, I’m sorry) and the I took him on the date that changed his life. I don’t think he knew how to have fun before that, but after, he was sold on it. I mean, who wouldn’t be? He stopped letting his parents boss him around and became his own man, which was amazing, and then we fell in love. It was a whirlwind romance, and we got married almost immediately after graduating, and had our first child, Gypsy, almost immediately after that. Echo came a year later, and we decided our little family was complete. Now Kery works in the Ministry, tinkering with Muggle toys all day, and I have the freedom to create! It’s wonderful.

I enjoy throwing at the wheel, coming up with new ways to make functional pottery artistic, exploring nature for inspiration, working with my daughter on her own art, and helping my son find new books to read.

I despise boring or plain dishware and pottery, boring or plain people, people who spend more time on their jobs than their lives, people who think their job is their life, and not having any inspiration to create.

I'm afraid of carpal tunnel and arthritis. It sounds like a joke, but it’s not. It would make working with clay impossible for me, and I can’t have that.

My strengths are that I can think outside of the box and that I’m about as open-minded as a person could be.

My flaws are that I have a temper I can’t seem to control and I really don’t think that’s a bad thing.

Hi, my name is Gypsy Lovette.

I'm a girl.

I'm 13 years old.

My birthday is October 17th.

My dream job is to be an artist, like my mother.

My blood status is Pureblood.

This is my second year here at Hogwarts.

The house I'm in is Ravenclaw

I'm interested inboys! All the boys! Well... I mean, if they're cute. And interesting.

I'm currently with no one.

People say that, in a nutshell, I'm just like my mother! I’ve got my head in the clouds, and all my brainpower is focused on the creative side of things. I’m not a books kind of girl. That is, I don’t do things by the books, and I’m not really book smart. I mostly go with how I feel. But, I am smart, don’t think I’m stupid just because I don’t really get into traditional learning. I’m actually really clever, and I can figure things out a lot quicker, and more imaginatively, than most people I know. I just don’t get caught up in the serious side of things. I like to be upbeat and happy and free, you know? And yeah, maybe I'm a bit mischievous, but it's all in fun. And what's life without a little fun, yeah?

My background story is that I was totally spoiled as a child, both in that I always got what I wanted and in that I was allowed to be my own thing and be my own person. My parents totally doted on me and my brother, and we got away with pretty much everything. We weren’t bad kids, just a bit mischievous. My mom taught me how to throw on the wheel as soon as I was big enough to try, and I really love it, just like she does, although when I was about 7 I discovered that I’m more of a painter. A weird thing for a 7 year old to discover, right? Most kids figure out that they like the color blue around that time. But I was already making a mess, getting paint in my hair and on my face. My dad’s really smart, and he taught my brother and me well growing up, so we’re pretty smart, too, but my heart’s not really in my studies. I’d much rather spend my time drawing and painting and throwing, like my mother. Of course, there's not much opportunity to paint at school, at least not until I can take Art starting third year.

I... I got sorted into Ravenclaw, and its already ruining me. I didn't do a single thing, all year! Except, like... read! How totally awful is that? It creeps me out just saying it! There was an incident in the first Astronomy class of the year, this jerk Slytherin tried to lord himself over the rest of our year and I mouthed off about it. Then, get this, some idiot Gryffindor totally smarted off at me! He was basically insulting our entire year, calling us all idiots, and she was on his side! I will never understand some people! He wasn't even that cute! Anyway, then this other Slytherin Jer mouthed off, too (he was on my side, though) and we all got detention. I tried to smooth it over, at least with Ronna, the Gryffindor, but she was totally hopeless. And she was all upset over getting detention, which was totally annoying. If you're not willing to deal with the consequences, you don't shoot your mouth off. You just don't. I knew I was gonna get detention; so did Jer. But she acted like the world was crumbling. And totally blamed me, as if I'd used the bloody Imperius curse to make her argue with me to get her in trouble or something. Snooty little... anyway, after that... I mean, the entire rest of the year was totally boring! I didn't do a bloody thing!

My third year, though... well, it definitely wasn't boring. During the Summer, I got this super cryptic letter about joining some club thing... met them all in Hogsmeade (had to convince my parents to take me, of course) and found out it was apparently some secret society of heroes or something. People who are supposed to do good and protect people... whatever, it was weird. I didn't know anyone there and everyone was at least a year older than me. Then, practically first week of school, I was wandering around with Jer, just bullshitting like usual, and we found... we found a dead kid, down in the dungeons. He was tied to the wall, and his lower body was all burnt and his upper body looked like someone had just... cut him, over and over and over. It was awful... I sort of freaked out on Jer. Feel bad about that, really. It wasn't cool. And after that, we all got out of school to go to this Festival thing, and a bunch of damn vampires attacked! Well, I say a bunch... apparently it was like, two or three. Sure seemed like more when they started counting up the injuries and deaths. One of them grabbed onto Darren, one of my friends, and I got her to drop him, she looked like she was ten or something. Then, I took off to try and find Echo. He was crouched down hiding behind a tree while one of the others attacked his friend and a couple of older students were fighting him. I grabbed Echo and got him the hell out of there. Feel sort of bad for leaving the others, especially since I'm supposed to be in some club for heroes now, but... I just wanted to protect my little brother. And I did; I came out with a cracked collarbone and a couple broken ribs, but he just had some scratches. The rest of the year was sort of boring, though. Jacob, one of the other kids who got recruited to that weird club, got us to meet up, and we were short a Slytherin, because apparently there's supposed to be one from each house? So of course I invited Jer... I thought they might get mad, but neither of them seemed to care. We went to an 'official' meeting a bit after that, but it didn't tell me much more than the first meeting... Jacob, Tobi, Jer and I are sort of floundering about trying to get it all figured out.

I enjoy art, of course, of any kind, but especially painting. I also love going outside, experiencing nature, even on rainy days, which I also love. And I am totally obsessed with playing with my hair and eye color. It’s just too easy and too much fun not to!

I despise having to sit still, being stuck indoors, people with no imagination, not having any idea what to paint, and when people give me ugly looks for being myself. Looking at you, Phyllis and Timothy (my grandparents. They're a total drag).

I'm afraid of losing my creativity, my imagination, when I get older! It happens all the time, and it’s just totally awful!

My strengths are that I don’t let people get me down, and that I’m honest about everything.

My flaws are that I don’t know when to shut up and butt out, and that I’m super nosy.

My pet is a Purple Pygmy Puff named Amethyst, though I usually call her Amy.

Oh yes, there's something else I need to tell you! I’m a Metamorphmagus, like my mom! It's basically the coolest thing ever. I mean, I mostly just play with my hair and eye colors, but I also like messing with people. And it's really handy for disguising yourself when you almost run into people you don't want to see. This one time, my mom and I saw my grandparents at the store, and we both changed our faces so they wouldn't realize it was us. Classic. I don't have complete control over it, thought, so sometimes if my mood changes, my coloring does, too. Each color means something different. Pink is my default, and it means I'm happy. Red means I'm furious, Orange means I'm nervous, Yellow means I'm confident, Green means I'm contemplative, Teal means I'm excited, I'm Blue means I'm curious, Purple means I'm mischievous, Burgundy means I'm flirtatious, Brown means I'm bored, Black means I'm scared, and Gray means I'm either tired, sick, or reeeeeeeeeeeally depressed.

Hi, my name is Echo Lovette.

I'm a boy.

I'm 12 years old.

My birthday is July 28th.

My dream job is to write stories!

My blood status is Pureblood.

The school I will be going to is Hogwarts.

I'm interested in… uh… I have no idea, really.

I'm currently with no one.

People say that, in a nutshell, I'm really smart, and funny. I love to read, especially these Muggle books my mom helps me find. They’re really interesting. I learn a lot from them. I’m pretty quiet, and relaxed, not at all like my sister, who’s always buzzing. I like to take things slowly, and watch the world turn, you know? It’s fun to just sit and watch things, like you’re an outsider looking in. And, this isn't something I talk about much, but... as much as I love reading, I really wish I could go on an adventure. That's why I love reading so much; it takes me places I'll never go, to see things I'll never really see. I guess I could probably find a way to have some real excitement in my life, but... I just don't know. I don't think I really have it in me, as much as I would like to. I'm brave enough, I guess, but... I'm timid. I could work on that, I guess, get myself to where I could find the adventure I crave, but I don't even know where to start.

My background story is that I come from a very happy, very loving family. My dad’s really smart, and he home-schools me and my sister, although she’s about to go away to school so it’ll just be the two of us soon. I’m okay with that, though, because she’s a bit disruptive when dad’s teaching us. She gets that from our mom, she’s an artist and she’s had Gypsy doodling and painting and sculpting since the day she was born, I think. I prefer to just sit and read, honestly. I feel like I’m a lot better with words than I am with my hands. My mom took me to a bookstore once when I was 5, because she was trying something new with her pottery and wanted a reference guide, and I found the fiction section for kids and went crazy. Ever since then, I’ve almost always got my nose stuck in a book. It’s nice to just sit back and let the words take you to someplace you’ve never been before, to let them make you into someone you’re not and live a life that’s not yours. I've never been... I'm not good at life. If that makes sense? I guess it doesn't. I'm just... awkward and shy and quiet and I'd much rather spend my time reading than doing anything else. I've never really had any friends. Gypsy always wants me to hang out with her and hers, but I'm not like them and it's annoying. Although, there is one girl she's friends with who's actually my age, Tanya, and she seems pretty nice. I've actually met a couple of kids my age recently, so I won't be going into school with no friends, I don't think. So that's good, I suppose.

I actually managed to make a few friends on the first night of school. Kas and Piera, they were both sorted into Ravenclaw with me. And another boy named David, who I can't tell if I like or don't like. The way he talks sometimes annoys me, like he thinks he knows more than the rest of us, but overall he seems nice. I think it's just because he's not used to being around other people his age. The year seemed like it was getting off to a nice start, but we went to this Festival thing in Autumn, thinking it would be fun... I was so wrong. While we were there, these vampires attacked! One of them got Kas really bad, but Gypsy got to me and took me to the Barn, where some people were casting shield spells and stuff. I felt bad for leaving Kas, but, I mean, I'd only had one week of lessons, what was I supposed to do? After that, things were quiet again. I'm hoping that the trend continues. I don't really want a repeat. It was horrifying. I'll stick to my books, thanks.

I enjoy reading, obviously, but I also like to write. And I enjoy learning new things, by whatever means, and I like watching Muggle TV with my dad almost as much as I do reading Muggle books. I also love rainy days, they’re the best for reading scary stories, which are my favorite.

I despise the dark (can’t read in it!), stories with uncreative or predictable endings, people who are uncreative or predictable, things that are distracting or disruptive, and my grandparents. No, I’m not going to lie about it. I hate them. They’re horrible.

I'm afraid of the dark. Okay, I admit it, I don’t just hate it because I can’t read in it. I’m afraid of it. Yes, the kid who loves horror movies and books is afraid of the dark. You would be to if you watched those movies and read those books.

My strengths are that I can step outside of a situation to see it clearly, and that I am a fast learner.

My flaws are that I can be a bit preachy and might be a bit full of myself at times.

I look like this.

My wand is a Dogwood with Fox Fur, 9 and 3/4 inches, supple and smooth.

My pet is a Brown Wood Owl, named Edgar, after Edgar Allen Poe.
