Welcome to the city of Fe'vin, the city of the Frozen Ash. Fe'vin is one of Nocturne larger cities to the far north east where the curse effects not only the light around the nation but the snow that falls down. The name is given due to the curse effecting the snow to turn from the pure white to an ashy colored black. The city itself is known for being a large part of the industry of nocturne other than the capital itself. A booming city with the forever night life thriving off the production of materials, weapons, tech, etc. With the large amount of income many clubs, bars, and everything of sort pull in creatures of the darkest nature. When these elements come together this also makes this city one of the biggest criminal centers in all of Axiom. Jasper for the first part of his Sage test will be sent to this city to search for full-blooded demon that has his fingers laced around everything in city. Beware, the demon has his eyes everywhere and causing too much attention may get him killed. Find this Demon, Paladin and enter a world of sin.

Flying in definitely wasn't the smartest idea. It was freezing cold, and his wings were becoming rigid. The only reason he was staying up in the air was because every now and then, he would use an air skill to keep him up. He tried using a Paladin skill to seek out the unholy in the city, but the city below simply appeared like a massive form of light. Every creature down there was unholy. This wasn't just a mission where he could scope things out. He'd have to land and enter the city like any other person would. He'd fit in easily, since he himself was a 'creature of the night'. But even then, most people wouldn't even notice him. Not when Envy's disappearing act was activated. No, from here on, he'd observe. He was simply told to look for a monster. They were all around him.

As the Incubus sore through the air the black snow that had fell around him had started to pick voliently causing the sky above to becoming a raging snow storm. If Jasper stay up there too long his wings would freeze soild and most likely freeze solid himself. This would force him to head to the streets below and walk the streets. This blizzard would slowly decent towards the streets covering it in the same deadly cold, so finding somewhere to outlast the snow was a good idea

Jasper almost forgot just how cold this country was. The chilling air was cold enough to make him put on several layers of clothes. It was a wonder that anyone but the cold-blooded vampires could ever live in a place like this. When the weather worsened, he knew that his clothes wouldn't be enough to keep him safe. He could distill the air, but it'd just put all eyes on him, which was exactly the opposite of what he wanted. He rushed into the nearest building and slipped it, closing the door behind him. He had no idea that he happened to enter the Tavern.

The tavern was filled with people on this day. It didn't even seem like it was rational, considering the size of the tavern and the town itself, to have so many. Almost all of them were women, with some little girls and little boys. There was not a man in sight, except for some old drunkard in the corner, who everyone else seemed to project their scorn towards. Some of the women snuggled closely against their children, and for good reason; all of the young boys and girls seemed to be so afraid, of something. The environment was very grim, sadness overcoming them. They all noticed that a man entered -- very obviously an Incubus. While some of the girls seemed to be intrigued with him on the spot, and some seemed hopeful that maybe he could help them, most of them didn't even care.

Here it was. The vast majority of the town. Well, most of the women anyways. The men seemed to be gone, with the exception of one drunkard. Since it seemed to be much warmer in this tavern, Jasper removed the heavy clothing from his body, allowing him to feel the warmth of the tavern across his skin. When he took a closer look, he saw that the faces of almost every mother in the room seemed to be terrified. Not at Jasper, but something was certainly scaring them. To put them all at ease, Jasper began to radiate an aura that affected the entire room of people, making them feel as if they could trust him. Like they had nothing to fear. They didn't, either. Jasper just needed a place to rest for a few minutes and warm up. But there was something about this place that put him on edge. It was Nocturne. Just being here made him feel like he had to annihilate everything in sight. The Incubus sat next to the drunken man, but said nothing. He was never great with making the first move.

The drunken man seemed to completely ignore Jasper's existence. He continued with his drinking, and the innkeeper shook her head in shame. He was, of course, never any help. That man was her husband, and he'd far fallen from who he used to be. It was years ago when it started. The girls started to feel like they could liken up to Jasper, talk to him. Tell him what ailed them. So, one of the young and beautiful women of the town went over to the table, her two sons each holding one of her hands. They were boys of what must've been under ten, and one of them seemed to be missing his other arm. "Jasper," the woman said his name. He might've found it extremely odd that she knew it, but everyone else here knew it too. They took so little interest in him, because they already knew he wasn't going to be of any help. "You're here to find warmth, aren't you? I'm afraid you might have to find another tavern. Here, there are no rooms and there is no food. We barely have anything to give our own people." She glanced over at the corner of the room, an old woman who'd decided to starve for the good of the children. She was rocking back and forth, displaying obvious pain and hunger. Her life would soon end. "If you're wondering where the men are, they're all off fighting. There's a great demon in the middle of a frozen forest, who's been tormenting our people and stealing our children away. They believe it's a father's duty to protect their children. Even in vain."

When he heard a voice speak to him, he looked up to find it's origin. It was a woman, slightly more beautiful than most others in the tavern, but remarkably average to his standards. He didn't understand why she knew his name, nor why it seemed like everyone in the tavern knew this man. The story she told all seemed incredibly cliche. If all of the men were out fighting, why didn't any one try and contact the King of Nocturne? Surely any king that cared about it'd people would assist it's territory. Well... this was Nocturne. It wasn't surprising that the king didn't care. "I'm not looking for food. I just needed a place to rest... If all of the men are out fighting, why are you all standing around? I'm sure there is a roll for everyone to play." Unless these people were all useless. "What is this demon you speak of? Surely, if you know my name, you know of the power I possess. I don't mean to brag, but I think I'm pretty strong. I can help. I can do more than a crowd of angry men."

The girl lowered her head, and sent her two sons away. Jasper seemed to recommend something that made absolutely no sense to her; how could all of the ladies try and fight the demon? There would be no one to look after the children. And they were trained to sew and cook, not to hunt for monsters in the dark woods. "I'm afraid the only place to rest is the floor," she said. Her arms crossed over each other, fingers locked together. She seemed like a very humble person, and confident compared to her whimpering peers. However, her confidence seemed to dissolve when Jasper recommended that he battle the demon. "You mustn't fight him! Only the people from this village can take that task upon themselves. That's the way this was meant to be." That enough would show that there was something abnormal going on here, but even Jasper's aura of trust couldn't get her to reveal the truth hidden behind her systematic abuse. "Please don't try and do anything. We've already enough trouble as it is." After saying that, she slowly walked away, returning to her boys.

When the woman began to panic, Jasper had no choice but to attempt to enthrall the woman to cease her panicking. She began to grow worried that someone would help the town, which obviously confused Jasper. If an evil was plaguing a town, wouldn't anyone want the evil dealt with by any means necessary? These people must be really terrified of this monster, so terrified that just speaking about brought them great discomfort. "Calm down... just look at me. You don't have to be afraid. I can keep you safe. You trust me, right? This demon... whatever it is, it needs to be stopped. When it's gone, the men of this town can return and you won't all have to hide in here. Tell me about this demon."

She couldn't hold back the truth, now. She could only see the light in him, and it felt like he was her savior; like he'd take on the pain of the world for her. All of the pain of holding it in was gone, and she could speak freely. She began to yell out the truth, to the terror of her surrounding peers. "It's the seeress! She told us that no one outside of the village can assist us, or she'll come back!" The jaws of the other women began to drop, and they rushed in to silence the screams of the enthralled girl. But not before she could spill the whole truth. "She joined our town appearing as a great fortune teller. She taught us how to be at peace with ourselves, and she helped to build our relationships. But when we started to trust her, she began secretly sacrificing the other women, calling upon horrible demons. Right at the end, before she finally left us... she brought about this monster." The demon she brought forth was a pure-blood. He was straight out of hell. He was so absolutely powerful that even she feared him, and retreated from the village. But now that the truth was spilled, they felt that she would come back. She said she would.
"Emily! Stop speaking nonsense to the visitor!" The inn-keeper tried as best as she could, holding her palms firmly against the girl's lips. Her sons seemed very afraid, as the other girls began to look at them with spiteful eyes. They'd start to turn on her, just like they did the other people who attempted to spill the truth. From behind Jasper, one of the kitchen maids held a butcher's knife, and attempted to lunge it into his back.

Seeress? The only Seer he knew was Emelia, and even then she had gone under ground. Emelia was only half Seer, and because of that, she wasn't all that strong. There was Liliana, but the lovely champion of mercy left without a word years ago. Whoever it was toyed with this villagers, then abandoned them to fend for themselves. If the woman who conjured the demon couldn't do anything, why would she force the men of the village to deal with it? He was just about to ask the name of the seeress when suddenly the innkeeper had barred the mouth of the woman with her hands. When he heard the floor creak behind him, he turnd his head and saw a woman with a butcher knife. His tail suddenly lashed at her hands, forcing the knife out of her frial hands. Suddenly, his eyes began to glow a bright yellow as he stared into the eyes of the woman who nearly tried to kill him. "I am trying to help all of you. Even if you all don't want my help, you're going to receive it. I know how moody you women are. I'm sure that when you are off of your periods, you'll want my help. Until then, back the ******** off." He took a deep breath in and exhaled as he peeled the hands of the innkeeper off of Emily's mouth. He gave her a cold glare and he pulled the woman closer. "Now... what is the name of the Seer?"
