 HP: 20The girl was new to the battlefield, this was her first fight actually. Though by all means she should be scared she approached the feathered creature with tranquil calm... moving so gracefully it was almost like she was a ghost, floating her way to him... a great iron scythe grasped in her hand, a smaller one attached to her back, she'd speak not a single word as she'd bring her weapon down upon the creature, making her striking silvery hair flare out in a fan behind her, the momentum of the downward swing that was aimed for it's should/wing came it a rushing blur of silver and black... this creature, it was a cursed, the first that she'd seen and somewhat a bit grateful that it was one of the damned things... if she had to power to kill it, to put it at rest she would... was it this creature's time? Was it her's? She hadn't a clue though she did know one thing, both of them were bound to do their best to survive no matter the efforts of the other.

 Neru was no newbie to the battlefield, as he'd fought in the last war. While his results had been mixed last time, he'd enjoyed it for a variety of reasons. The only thing that saved him from a horrible scythe wound was the light woosh it made; his senses were honed enough that he twisted, taking a light though still painful wound to his side instead. But upon seeing the girl who attacked him he didn't look angry, or leer at her, instead, he grinned (well, with a beak it was an approximation), looking jovial. "Nice one, I almost didn't hear you!" he compliments, before lashing out with a kick at her stomach, talons raking. HP: 18

HP: 19"Thank you..." she said in a hushed, sorrow filled voice... she glided to the side so his attack barely managed to cut into her side, deep blue eyes locked upon him as she'd sweep her weapon crosswise up his body from hip to opposite shoulder... That was the end of the conversation on her part though, she didn't seem all that interested in starting a repertoire between them, he was cursed after all.... it had to be horrible... a bit of pity flickered with the sadness in her eyes as she awaited the next attack.

HP: 16"Why the sad face, lady?" he comments, taking a light blow from her scythe across his chest. "Ain't nothin' but fun to be had out here!" He flies in closer to her, beak aimed to peck at her face.

HP: 16*She'd merely shake her head at him... "I really don't want to talk to you..." and then she'd give a gasp of pain, leaping back as his beak had cut deeply into her cheek.. pain stung, tears stung but she held all but a single one back... That had hurt, this creature wasn't messing around, well, she wasn't either. Lunging forward she took a low swing at the feathered beast's legs... blood oozing down her cheek and dripping on to her black dress.*

"Aww, that's a pity. I'm really fun to hang out with. Doesn't mean I'm not serious out here on the battlefield though!" He backs up as she swings, but not enough, and his legs are slashed badly. He hisses between his beak, an oddly musical sound, and winces, but uses his wings to keep himself from collapsing. "Good one..." he manages to gasp out, before rising up a bit and trying to dive at her to knock her down. HP: 12

HP: 13He was quite the talkative one... "Is there really a point to discussion?..." she was a follower of Death, he was a cursed... which meant that he hated her... hated her God... probably hated everything... they were evil, twisted creatures that didn't know comfort, only rage, from what she had heard... this one seemed to be a bit off though, maybe he just liked to hurt people... that made sense as he launches himself at her, her eyes widen a fraction as she gasps in surprise and is driven back into the ground, her scythe in both hands, bracing to push his weight off of her as she draws up both of her legs and plants them into his belly right as the wind is knocked from her lungs... shoving with all her might she tries to use his momentum to fling him up and over her so she can get up.

Neru grunts as he's thrown over, landing on his wounded legs. He tries to catch his breath and uses his wings to get up again, since his legs aren't doing much right now, and as she gets up he flies at her again, then at the last second leads with his taloned feet instead, aiming for her chest, no matter how much it might hurt him as well to do so. HP: 8

HP: 9Letting out a shriek as the avian digs his claws deep into her chest, tears burning at her eyes, she's not used to this sort of pain... her hands still hold the scythe between them, gritting her teeth against the agony she shoves down as hard as she can, bringing up her knee to slam him in the back... vicious creature, she knows she's hurt him badly... she can tell by the way that he moves and the sounds he makes... just not badly enough.

Even though his talons raked her well, it hurt Neru to no end as well, and even though he mostly avoids the knee aimed at him, it doesn't matter, as he is hurting anyway. He flaps his wings and turns and giving himself a moment to recover, he dives at her again, beak-first at her face, hoping to end this faster. His happy mood was going away, she was not very fun to fight... HP: 7

Thrusting him back again as he comes at her face, he missed her that time, or at least the wound caused was nothing to compare with the ones he'd already given her... it didn't work, but that didn't mean that she wouldn't try shoving him down again, his legs were wounded badly and she had to get him away from her. Shoving him with the scythe she held with both hands she'd switch to the other knee, bringing that one up to slam into his back if she could, trying to dislodged the cursed thing.

Neru was lucky he barely felt the knee, he changes tactics and whips around hard, wings flared to knock her over in that manner instead, if possible. HP: 6

(*smh* My daughter just said that my chara is so depressed that it's hard to hurt her?) HP: 6Ducking the blow to her head by the other, she was still hit at half strength though so it still hurt her... bracing herself taking a step back and pivoting, she changed tactics, he wanted to be on top of her badly, she had a good idea what he'd do once he'd get her down there, he'd try to rip her up with beak and talon... she tried to twist and swing him off of her, attempting to toss the cursed away from herself and within range of her weapon again, who knew, maybe she'd get lucky and be able to follow through with a swing of her scythe before he got out of range if she succeeded.

(aww... XD) Neru wanted badly to win this fight, but it wasn't going so well. He's somehow thrown away from her and he lands roughly to the ground, thankfully just out of range of her scythe though he doesn't even realize it. Weakly he gets up, trying to ignore his wounds, and flies back to her, aiming with his feet talons again wherever he can hit. HP: 3

(Owie! Nice roll!) HP: 2A scream ripped from her throat as he came flying at her again... trying to get out of the way and taking a swing at him with her scythe in desperation... she could feel herself weakening... whimpering softly at the end of the strangled scream as she fell back with him on top of her... Yes, it had been such a bad idea to give him room to move... he'd been far too quick for her... this had to end... it would end soon... either way.
