A great many things weighed quite heavily on the young witch's mind, ranging from something as simple as what she would wear tomorrow or if the weather would be hot again, to more complex. Namely, how she was going to fix the troubles plaguing her boilfriend or what would she would do come graduation. Even that was an uncertainty, but that was also something easier to deal with. The more melancholy matters were just... Largely ignored. If Belladonna didn't fret, then they would disappear or work themselves out. Having never been a big believer in letting situations take the path of least resistance when she could so easily influence the course, it was a good lesson in patience.
Naturally, that meant that if she did not worry, she would have to distract herself and that was far easier said than actually executed. And that was mostly because staying busy was a real chore, for there were an intense amount of work involved in staying busy. For example, the witch had decided earlier that day the completely reorganize all the books on her shelf. Which, at the beginning, seemed a fantastic idea.
Unfortunately it was a terrible idea simply because she kept her bookshelf pristine to begin with, so there was very little in the way of organization that she had not already done.

So after an hour of fretting unintentionally over the fact that she could not keep herself occupied with books, Belladonna decided a thorough cleaning of her closet was in order. Mostly this meant just grabbing all the clothes that no longer fit, those for a variety of reasons, or the ones that just did not fit with her current style. And while that had kept her relatively busy for a few hours, she was reluctant to get rid of much more else than the small pile she had acquired. And once she had gotten them all gathered, all that was left to do was... Put them somewhere...
After carrying the little pile from her room and down the hall, the witch decided that donating it to the Lost and Found box would probably be the best offer.

And that was exactly what the witch did, toddling down the multiple stairs of the Reaper dorms and heading toward the common room, a multitude of black and pastel cloth in arms.

There was something amiss in the common room. A small figure stood huddled behind a curtain, peeking out every so often and then ducking back behind it with a sob. It didn't seem to have a face. The pig-tailed female simply had a face full of pink beard hair, so poofy is resembled an afro.

The sobbing stopped with a hitched breath. Lottie peeked out again, hearing footsteps come closer.

She hid her face from view with the curtain, sniffling and trying to ebb her whimpers. "I-is somebody there?"

There would probably never be a moment when hearing someone crying would be something the witch could ignore, especially when it sounded like a young ghoul. Perhaps it was silly to let one's imagination run as to why precisely the young ghoul would be crying, especially since the particular reasoning for the day was randomly decided as she had been overcome with emotional longing for her erstwhile lover. Since that made Belladonna even more sad, because she knew that feeling all to well, the witch dropped the box without even bothering to have chosen a proper place for it. Both hands were much too busy coming up to clutch at her cheeks in worry.
"Yes! I'm here!" She called out, clattering forward toward where she thought she'd heard the voice. But it just sounded as though it had come from across the room, which wasn't really all that specific, and meant that she was forced to stop only halfway across. At least that netted her a few moments to study the back of the room.

Was there... Someone hiding behind the curtains?
Oh!
"Oh, uh by the way its uh, Belladonna... Assuming I know you... I probably do, I know a lot of students!" That was meant to be reassuring, since she really did know a lot of people... but given who was actually hiding behind the curtain, it could really go either way.

"Buh...buh... Belladonna?" He sobbed, peeking out. "Hel's friend?" But Hel was the one that did this to her! Bella would laugh and make fun! She was obviously on Hel's side, right?

The ghoul wailed, sinking to her bottom and clutching her knees to head. "Go awaaaaaaaaay!" Her face was a beard, and she would never be pretty again!

The sobbing reply made the witch pause, turning toward the sound just in time to see a bright pink beard peeking out between the curtains. This was an odd sight all on its own, but to find the beard attached to a bright, cutesy outfit and speaking with a high pitched whine was all the odder. It would be rude to pass any sort of judgement over this, of course, so Belladonna kept her face as kind as she could. Given the fact that a pink beard was rather funny, it was far more difficult than she had originally thought.
"Yes, I am Hel's friend, I fail to see ho-- LOTTIE?!" Why, what other little Reaper ghoul had such adorable pink hair and colorful outfit?! The witch totally lost the ability to keep emotionless at this point and rose both hands to cup her cheeks. What a tragedy that such a precious creature now had a terrible beard!

"Oh darkling, come out and let me see... Wherever did you get a beard from?" The witch asked, crossing what little space was left between herself and the ghoul to bend down and look at the sobbing ghoul. The insistence that Belladonna should go away was most resolutely ignored.

"So you remember meeee..." She wailed, trying to rub her eyes but finding nothing but afro beard in its place. She slowly came out from behind the curtain, sniffling as her sobs ebbed ever slightly.

"H-Hel got mad at me cause I danced with her boil at Prom. S-So we had a spar in the Gym! B-but then she beat me up and slapped me so hard a BEARD appeared." The little witch felt good about ratting out Hel, but she would feel a lot better about it if the beard was just gone entirely.

"Of course I remember you!" The witch chirped, standing when Lottie came out from behind the curtain. Goodness, that was a mighty beard! The witch had never seen the likes of it, even on the manliest and hariest of her male family members. "You were very adorable, so it would be hard to forget a Reaper as cute as you." Belatedly Belladonna realized that perhaps complimenting the ghoul was not quite right when she was obviously upset, but whether it was about the beard or the failed fight with Hel was unclear.
At the mention of what caused the fight, the witch was careful to bite back the laughter that threatened to burst forth. Of course Hel would pick a fight with an underclassman who had so shamelessly sought to tease her. The witch hoped that one day Hel and Lottie could reconcile so she could hug them both silly as they were both too precious.

"So hard a beard appeared, hm? Well, that does sound very odd, but Hel is a Valkyrie so it really only goes to figure that she of all people could make others sprout beards. Valkyries are very sturdy folk, you know." Belladonna tutted out loud, a hand trying to find a spot on Lottie to pat sympathetically but not finding much. Instead she settled on her shoulder.
"But I suppose you'd like it gone... Maybe I can help? I am a witch after all, and I am quite adept at spells." Not that she had ever worked a spell to remove facial hair, but there was always a first time for everything!

Well.. Belladonna was right at least. Lottie was in fact awesomely adorable, in her opinion. Or was, anyway.

"Aren't Valkyries supposed to have wings?" She snuffled, her bears sputtering some stray tears from it's whiskers. "Maybe that's why she's such a meanie face. She's all butthurt, maybe." More sniffling followed, as she attempted to wipe her face with a large sleeve, only to be met with beard.

The little witch nodded at her offer. "Could you, please? I've never had a beard, so I don't know how to handle this!" If only Lottie had asked Hel how to get rid of it. Then again, the dark skinned ghoul likely would have just laughed.

Had Belladonna known that was Lottie's particular train of thought, she might have laughed at the ghoul, not in malice, but from how precious her own high opinion was. Granted, the older witch did have an enormously high opinion of herself, so it wasn't all that far fetched an idea to her. But all the snuffling and sniffling from the pour ghoul only made Belladonna find Lottie all the more adorable. Gently she took what could find of the younger ghoul's chin and held it still. Thankful for long sleeves, the witch turned her wrist up, fingertips holding the cloth over her skin, to brush against the tears.
"Aren't all witches supposed to have pointy hats?" She countered in a sweet voice, totally devoid of any sarcasm or angry rebuttal. It was a simple, if vaguely rhetorical, question. "If Hel lost her wings in a terrible manner, do you not think you should be kind to her? She is the only Valkyrie without her wings... That must be hard on her." So maybe Belladonna had gone into Mama Bells mode... Whoops!

But at Lottie's nod and request for help, the witch smiled warmly at her.
"Of course I will help you! You might not know this, but I adore helping people. Especially darling little witches such as yourself." The manner in which she would help, however, was a bit more dubious... Hmmmm.
"Did Hel mention anything about the beard? That it couldn't be shaved off or that magic was useless against it?" These were very important questions, after all...

"Well!.... It's not like I said it to her face or anything..." Lottie pouted with puffed cheeks... not that the puffy cheeks could be seen through the beard. "Maybe if she wasn't such a Meanie Boob Face, her wings wouldn't have flown away from her."

Little Lottie chuckled bashfully as Belladonna called her darling. Well.. Bella sure had good taste! Why yes! Lottie is totally a darling. No matter what Hel or her own stinky twin sister says.

"Hel didn't say anything! I haven't tried shaving it yet cause I never shaved before! So.. I don't have any razors.."

The witch grinned and tapped Lottie on the nose. Well, what she could see of her nose... Or what she hoped was her nose. Honestly she probably just poked a random part of the ghoul's beard, but the point was that she was trying to be cute and affectionate.
"Maybe she's only mean to you because she sees a bit of herself in you." That was probably not it at all, but Belladonna had an enormously huge soft spot in her heart for Hel, so she wanted her friend to get along with everyone. Or at least to have others think of Hel as even a fraction as fantastic as the witch found her.

"Well, that doesn't really help but that's alright! I am sure we will find something!" At this the witch dropped her hands to pick up Lottie's between her own and gave them a gentle squeeze.
"I do not have any razors in my room, but I have lots of spell books. I am a third year and quite good at spells, so if you'd like we can go back to my room and try a few things!" Belladonna looked awfully excited about that, smiling widely at Lottie as she waited for her reply.

"Okay!" Lottie agreed readily. "I will try anything! I just want to look myself again! I can't SEE with this thing!" The tiny witch wailed, clinging to the big busted reaper's arm with desperate little fingers.

"I will make this up to you if it works! Like... I promise I won't stick Hel in a giant cupcake ad toss her off a cliff!" As if that was a feasible feat, considering their differences in strength.

"Well I will try my absolute best to help you see again!" Belladonna chirped with a grin, gently patting the ghoul's hand wrapped around her arm. Careful to hold her elbow away from her arm so that Lottie wouldn't get an accidental handful, the witch began to lead them out of the common room. Totally forgetting about her box of old clothes, she left them sitting in the middle of the floor as she headed for the stairs.
"My boilfriend should be out, he works odd hours and I think today is one of his day time hours... But he would adore you." Maybe. Hopefully. "Do you have a boilfriend or ghoulfriend or special person of amorous affection?" There were a lot of stairs up to Belladonna's room, so conversation was a must.

At Lottie's promise, however, she burst into a fit of giggles.
"I appreciate you promising not to stick my best ghoulfriend in a cupcake, but I hope you are not planning any other confectionery tortures for her..." The young witch did underestimate the power of magic in her imaginings, of course. Strength was often weakness when magic was involved!

Lottie felt safe, and felt hope to be able to have a normal, ghoulish face again. She smiled within the confines of her beard-fro, clinging to the upperclassmen as she led her away.

"You think so?" Lottie asked humbly, twisting her shoulders with a giggle. She sure hoped this boilfriend liked her! Everyone should like Lottie! "Me? Oh no! Not me. Hee hee." She blushed under her beard, making it kind of way too warm to deal with. "Maybe one day!" Gosh! Imagine being so mature and awesome enough to have a boilfriend! Dreamy sigh~

Lottie shook her head, pigtails and beard bouncing with each swaying movement. "Nope nope! A promise is a promise! I won't do anything sneaky sneaky like that."

"Say! Soooo like.. what does your boilfreind look like? Is he tall? Handsome? What's his name? Is he into sports?"

"Well, you are a very adorable witch. I am sure when you are not baking people into treats that everyone adores you!" The fact that Hel had been the one to bestow the beard upon the younger ghoul was just an odd form of affection! Certainly the Valkyrie liked Lottie, just in a more... Hands on and mischievous manner! Belladonna, on her end, resolved to shower this little ghoul with lots of affection just in case.
"No one you fancy? Well, you are young yet that is only to be expected. I have no fear you will find someone special very soon." This was said with a mysterious finger wiggle that implied some sort of magic would be involved. Regardless if that was honestly true or not...

The promise not to bake Hel into any cakes or even do anything else sneaky only endears the little witch to Belladonna even more. The older witch smiles sweetly at her and leans over in an odd little semblance of a hug, unable to enact something more simply because the arm closest to the witchling is wrapped around her's. As they still had a few more floors to scale it was probably best not to stop in any event.

At the questions over her boilfriend, Belladonna sighed dreamily.
"Oh, my darling Mort is quite handsome and just perfectly tall that I have to rise on my toes to kiss him." That was very important, after all. "But you have perhaps seen him! He is the Student Council Secretary and was at prom! He was the zombie with the glasses and the green hood and his adorable little dolls that provided quite a lot of fun during Prom!" Aahh, prom. What a wonderful night that had that been. In her best regal way the witch sighed dreamily again, wishing she could have more chances to talk about being Prom Queen. No she wasn't vain at all why would you ask that...
