After the show came back from one of it's early commercial breaks, the camera cut to a view of the backstage showing a shaggy haired stagehand having a inconsequential conversation with the man behind the camera. It wasn't long before Brody Robinson walked into frame with a strangely exasperated look on his face. He looked between the two men, before nodding in the direction of the camera.
"Either of you guys seen Salem? Gotta ask him something.
The camera turned to the stagehand, who looked thoroughly confused by the question.
"He's in his locker room, man.
The camera panned back to Brody just in time to see him drag his hand down his face in response. The brawler's shoulders fell as he looked to the ceiling and let out a long sigh.
"Let me get this straight. The guy interrupts a GM's speech, talks down to the entire company plus the entire roster.....and he still gets his own locker room?"
Failing to think of anything else to say, the backstage worker simply shrugged. Clearly frustrated even further by this new information, Brody ran his hand over his head once again before speaking.
"Whatever. Where is it?"
The stagehand, clearly expecting to get punched in the head if he didn't comply, quickly pointed down the hallway to his right, and pressed himself against the wall as Brody pushed his way passed, knocking the camera sideways in the process. Instead of going back to his conversation, the cameraman made the possibly unwise decision of following Brody down the hallway, capturing his determined stride as he made his way towards Salem's door. The two men came to a door with Salem's 'change jar' graphic taped to the outside. After throwing a disbelieving look at the camera, Brody tore the picture off the door and started pounding on it with his healthy left fist.
"Oi! Salem! Open up."

After a few seemingly long seconds of loud pounding on the door of Salem's locker room, from the other side the sound of unlocking is heard. The camera pans out slightly to show the scene, as the door slowly opened up.

Standing in front of Brody, and to the mass jeers of those in the arena watching on the titantron, Nuke Fusion tilted his head to the side slightly, and with an inquisitive look.

Wearing a slim-fit suit, and bearing what seemed to be a couple of marks around his head and neck area from the WrestleMania spectacle that both he and Jarel had put on last night, he spoke at Brody before there was a chance for the visitor to make the point he was here for.

"Well, how exactly can I help you? Actually, don't bother with wasting my time, you're clearly here because you're pissed at Salem. Unfortunately, I'm currently busy with my newest client so perhaps you'd prefer to come back at another time or leave a message with the Hall of Famer in front of you?"

A cocky grin on his face, Nuke raised an eyebrow and put on his signature smirk, wondering if he should now push some of Brody's buttons to get him going.

"So, I watched you open up WrestleMania with the Money In The Bank match. Now, please tell me, how does it feel to know that all of your hard effort and perseverance now counts towards nothing - all of those highights of your best moments.. and you still will just be known as a competitor of the match, and not the winner? A loser.

You thought you could get the job done.. and for all intents and purposes, you put on a good show. But you walked in a loser, and you walked out an even bigger loser. Whereas I walked in to WrestleMania as a Legend of the business, and ended up putting on the match of the entire show - hell, it should have been the main event.
Oh, and Salem is practically a guaranteed World Champion now, he has surpassed you. That's why he came to me, to help him grow and succeed in this business, and under my tutelage he won't fail. So in addition to making him a World Champion for the ages, i'm also here to keep away the 'low-card talent' such as yourself from wasting his time.
"

Flicking a part of his fringe to the side, he opened up his eyes and smirked, mockingly.

"Now, let's see you turn on your heel and walk away like a good little boy. I've no time for you."

While he certainly was shocked to see Nuke open Salem's door and announce that he was now in league with the so-called 'Next Generation Sensation', Brody was less impressed by the 'you are a loser' rhetoric that the well-dressed legend was throwing in his direction. So much so that, instead of the furious reaction that Nuke had likely been going for, Brody causally leaned on the door frame and stared at Nuke with a glazed-over look in the eye, as if he was barely paying attention. He was used to this kind of language. It's the kind of thing you learn to deal with after being the perennial nice guy; Everyone thinks you're a waste of space, and they have no problem saying it to your face. When Nuke finally finished, Brody stayed against the door frame, and began to speak in the most monotone voice he could manage.

"Oh no. I'm a failure. How can I ever live with myself after losing a single match. Oh the humanity. And now Salem is going to have a new belt. Oh god. The horror."

Taking a quick breath, Brody rubbed at his forehead before pushing himself off the wall.

"Give me a f**kin' break here, Nuke. I'm not going to back off because some suited-up brit pointed out the obvious at me. Salem went past insulting me. He disrespected everyone when he went out there to gloat. And since no one else seems to care about this company's reputation, I'm gonna be the one to set him straight. Now, are you gonna let me in? Or are we going to have an incident?"

Nuke raised his eyebrows slightly at Brody's reaction; he had hoped to release more anger in him, but it seemed that hadn't worked, and he had actually kept his cool.

"Robinson, I respect you more than most people in this company do, and I hope that you acknowledge that. But don't dare indirectly threaten me again, or i'll bust your teeth so far down your throat that you'll be shitting chunks of your gums out for weeks."

Moving forward from the doorway, forcing Brody to take a step backwards.

"Look, if I was any kind of manager then I wouldn't just let any irate superstar with a problem storm in here and try to kick something off.

The man who's locker room i'm standing watch over is set to be a World Champion, and the fact that you think that just means that he 'is going to have a new belt' clearly shows your underlying need to make less of the World Championship, which is something that you do not see in your own future.

Look, it's cool, I understand. If by some chance I wasn't anywhere near the World Championship picture, I'd be pissed as well. I'd probably try and make it out to be something i', not interested in. But deep down we both know that you resent the fact that Salem won that briefcase, so let's not push forward anything else other than the raw truth.
"

Adjusting his tie, Nuke sighed a little.

"You could go far with the right mentoring Brody, you really could. Too bad that you're more than happy to be nothing more than mediocre and wasted talent on this roster, working less than 10 minute matches each week, then squandering your paycheck on your ride to the next show.

If you just applied yourself, threw off the shackles of the disgusting people we call 'fans' out there in the audience, and lived up to your full potential.. you could be a star.

Unfortunately, until that point in time I have to concede to you that you have no business in this locker room other than to cause trouble. Come back when you're more relevant, buddy.
"

Again with the same old song and dance about prestige and lost potential. At least Nuke was getting original, bringing in a bit of psychology into the mix, but it all sounded the same to Brody at this point. Resisting the urge to use the monotone voice again, Brody scratched at his neck and nodded a little, as if in agreement with Nuke's words.

"You know. I see your point. I can see how being a complete a*****e could work to my advantage. I mean, who cares about all of these little kids cheering for you when you've got the absurd notion that you're so far ahead of everyone else? Who needs that warm feeling you get when hi-fiving a fan during your walk down the ramp?? Who needs that moment when thousands upon thousands are cheering your name while you're getting your arm raised by the ref? Man, that s**t is for the birds, right?"

Brody's annoyed grimace slowly changed to a proud smirk. He was always happy when he could be sarcastic, even when it turned out to be hilariously cheesy.

"But see, the problem I have with that is, well, I'm a well adjusted young man who doesn't feed off the hatred of other people. Maybe you, Salem and, hell, 60% of the roster can live like that, constantly shunned by the people who pay for your livelihood. But what kind of life is that? Prancing around here in fine tailored suits while everyone talks about how much they hate you? I just can't comprehend how anyone can survive like that, emotionally cut off from the rest of the population. Sure, I may be riding in buses from show to show, and I may not be able to afford the best threads money can buy....

Brody offhandedly reached up to Nuke's shoulder, brushing off a bit of imaginary dust.

"But at least I can look myself in the mirror every morning. Can you or Salem say that?"

Without waiting for Nuke's response, Brody turned to walk away, intending to have the last word on the converstion....

No sooner would Brody turn around, however, would he find himself face-to-face with the man-in-question, himself - Salem swiftly trying to dispatch the man with a sudden European Uppercut. The crack of Salem's knuckles colliding with the chin of Mr. Robinson registered clearly on the live feed, provoking a series of gasps from the audience who were watching from the big Titantron back out at ringside. Brody's head snapped back from the force of Salem's "One-Hitter Quitter", the fan-favorite falling backward in a daze as a result of the impact. While Nuke caught Brody in the doorway with a Full Nelson, the cameraman turned the lens nervously towards Salem, who appeared to be in a state of lucid rage.

"Get him in there!" Salem barked over to Nuke, thrusting a finger at Brody's chest, towards the dressing room interior. Without being given any time to react, the reporter was grabbed by the shoulder and shoved in as well by Salem, a very nervous filmster only helpless to watch as Salem shut and locked the door behind himself.

Turning around, Salem glared from the inside of the dressing room over towards Brody, who was still being restrained by Nuke in the Full Nelson that'd been previously applied just a moment earlier. As Salem marched over towards Brody, the cameraman stepped forward to intervene - an act that drew a ferocious glare from "Mr. Money In The Bank", who shoved the man back and ordered him to just film it. Getting face to face with Robinson, Salem grasped the man by the chin, applying more pressure than needed to his jawbone and cheeks with one wrapped-up hand, livid anger on his features.

"You want to know what I see when I look in the mirror, Brody?!" the rookie commented, letting go of the poor man's face only to hammer his fist into the soft spot of Brody's gut, Nuke letting Brody lean over a bit while Salem followed through with the punch, wrapping his spare arm around Brody's waist to whisper into the man's ear - his expression of outrage registering clearly on the camera for the world to see.

"...I see a man who's done taking s**t off anyone." Salem growled in a hushed tone, pulling away to get a better sight of his handiwork and allow the audience a similar luxury.
