Otto seemed mildly nervous. He stood outside the Pod Room that controlled the mission golems with a look of uncertainty. He wasn't sure how this was going to go, but he knew hed put it off for far too long.
He just needed to assure himself that this long mission would ensure he would be on the path toward his ultimate goal.
However, the only golem that was ready for repeated missions was once again... female.
He sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose.

Heidi was on her way out after a very riveting session of minipet duty when she spotted a familiar blonde head in the corner of her eye. She blinked, stopped in her tracks, and backed up to see who was in the pod room. Oh!
She grinned, quietly sneaking up behind Otto. She stopped behind him and peeked over his shoulder. A female golem? "Whatcha dooooin'?"

Otto flinched, hitching his breath as Heidi broke his concentration. "Jesus..." He turned his head to glare at the girl, icy blue eyes narrowed with irritation.
"Gettin' ready for a mission into Halloween." He replied roughly.

She grinned when Otto glared at her. "Your hair's still pink. Heh." Good to see she did well on the dye job.
She blinked. Wait, what? They could actually go into Halloween? "Oh?" But didn't it.
Like.
Kill them?

"Shut it, Potter." Otto grouched, huffing and turning away. These pink streaks refused to die!
"Yeah. Been something I was supposed to start a while ago. M'gunna go in a lot for a week or so. I wanna find a way to get intel easier from them without constant trips to halloween."
And less horrible and awkward conversations to instigate. Anything that meant less socializing really.

"Neverrrr~!" Heidi laughed. A part of her did feel kind of bad.
A very, very small part.
She looked surprised by Otto's answer. They could actually go into Halloween for extended periods of time. That was so cool. Why did she not know this?! "How does it work? Can I come?"

"Wait.. you never been to Halloween yet?" Otto asked, baffled. How fortunate yet unfortunate. "We use golems, otherwise our bodies explode. The golems are fragile, so battling in them is out. We use them for undercover work."
His eyes lidded in an unimpressed expression at her request. He'd have to babysit, AND try not to explode at Halloween kids? He was going to say no...
But if he could have her do the talking, he might have a better chance at this.
"If I take you along, ya gotta keep something' in mind.. This is a pretty serious mission. I'm tryin' to get back in Caelius's "good" books." Aka his off the radar book.
"So, our main concern is finding out how new kids at the school adapt and communicate. Get into the High School gossip mill or whatever. I never went to school, 'cept for a couple months once, so I'm kinda at a disadvantage."

Heidi shrugged and shook her head. No, she hadn't been to Halloween. Her only missions so far had been off the island in the human world. She listened attentively to his explanation on how it worked, glancing at all the pods around them. Some of them still had sleeping candidates in them. This room was so creepy. Ugh.
She turned back to Otto as he considered taking her along, her look of discomfort over the pods replaced with a big grin. "Of course! Yeah! I won't mess up, promise."
High school. Heidi suddenly looked smug. "Dude, I've got this. I just got out of high school. So what do I have to do on this end? Just show me the way~."

"Right. Cool. C'mon. I'll take ya to the pod room that controls the golems." Otto muttered, waving her to follow him. "Just take the advice of your weapon. Try to catch on to their lingo quick."
Tenya puffed up within his mind. Yes, it was Tenya's time to shine! All her amazing know how of Halloween ways. Except Otto had pretty much a solid handle on it already.

Heidi just stared at Otto as she obediently followed behind him. Learn their...lingo? "I'm so screwed." She sighed and shook her head, taking out her phone to send off a quick text. pinchmonster Text to: Tuck Text from: Heidi <333 HIIIIII! I'm going to be late coming back, k? Otto's taking me to Halloween to help him out with a couple things. =D DON'T WAIT UP! idk how long it'll be.
