Who was the better Clarice Starling and why?

Julianne Moore! i hated jodie's accent. x-x she was really annoying. i love the movie dont get me wrong but i think Moore was better than foster and prettier. :3

Julianne Moore most defiantly, i felt she made a stronger clarice and accentuated her mental toughness. I also liked her and Hannibal's relationship more so than in silence of the lambs.

I would have to agree with you guys. I like Julianne more, but I like the character better in Silence of the Lambs... is that allowed do you think?

This! I liked Silence of the Lambs better as a whole - better plot, script, etc. I didn't mind Jodie Foster, but Julianne Moore was a really good Clarice. She felt like a stronger character to me when Julianne played her, but I enjoyed her journey more when Jodie played her.

This! I liked Silence of the Lambs better as a whole - better plot, script, etc. I didn't mind Jodie Foster, but Julianne Moore was a really good Clarice. She felt like a stronger character to me when Julianne played her, but I enjoyed her journey more when Jodie played her.

ME TOO! this was exactly my issue with the two movies. I feel like Julianne could have been spectacular in Silence but I worry that she'd get scared away like Jodie!
